He said he'd be happy to walk us through the repair over the phone if we decided to tackle it ourselves -- all completely free of charge! One of them was to get a new door from one of his competitors whom he recommended and candidly states they had better new door prices than his. He then outlined a repair option and gave us a realistic estimate if it would be successful or not. We chose the repair option, he exceeded our expectations and for a fraction of the cost of a new door crafted a solution that will result in our current door lasting at least another few years. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He told us the reason he doesn't mind telling us all of our new door options, including cheaper alternatives by his competitors, is that he truly loves repairing garage doors. He would rather fix up an old door and make it work than sell customers something they don't really need. Frankly when we get a new door, we are getting it from him even if he does cost a bit more than big box competitors. We are senior citizens and simply don't have thousands to buy a new door. Nate fixed our door for a couple of hundred dollars and made it so it will work for several years to come. Wow. He is an answer to prayer.
