I went on a Sunday because of a worrisome insect bite. The provider was a very rude and unprofessional person. Constantly interrupted me and then blamed me for the inflamed bite, saying I caused the problem by putting alcohol on the bite-which I did only once. ONCE! They then proceeded to take a blood sample. This is day 6 and my arm is still swollen, tender and black and blue from my elbow to my wrist. I am not a person who bruises easily. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They will also text you every day after your visit appearing to be concerned and asking you to make another appointment. My GP was horrified at the care I received.

We did not see that provider. 1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment, we saw a PA. She spent less than 5 minutes with my sick mother. She gave some advice for my mother living with Alzheimer's that I found to be irresponsible. I prompted her to provide better guidance as my mother needed to hear it from a medical professional, and she did not. Very little inquiry about my mother's presenting issue was taken and she was out the door. She did not even check her throat or ears. It was a lightening fast and completely useless appointment. The reception staff went out of their way to be friendly and caring. The medical staff could take some notes. We were utterly dissatisfied and I will never bring my mother back to this Urgent Care, and I will advise others to steer clear. I have since checked the clinical notes on MyChart and there is completely inaccurate information. It said that the patient reported no fever or chills or sore throat. My mother has suffered all three in the last five days and it began longer than three days ago, which was incorrectly indicated on her chart. Had the PA listened better, perhaps she would have made a more thorough examination. We understand that there was a staffing issue and waited patiently. However, the resulting care was considerably insufficient.

Sure enough, I had the awful feeling Of a UTI. I knew I needed to get in somewhere and fast before the lower back pain started. Admittedly, I called another facility in our area but due to the amount of COVID tests they were doing that day, they were unable to see me. I was scared, upset and felt trapped ... Until I called Skylands and the gentlemen who answered the phone calmed all my concerns and had me come in that day. I was spoken to with such care and support, and was in and out of the office quicker than it took my pharmacy to fill my prescription. Not only that, but the doctor's bedside manner was impeccable and I felt so important and cared for. I've been to a lot of urgent care type places, specifically for UTIs, and none have made me feel as safe, cared for and respected as Skylands Thank you to EVERYONE who works here. The nurse practitioner Aaron was not very compassion and he told that without order from the surgeon, he cannot change a dressing. As a physician by myself I would consider such behavior of medical staff and unprofessional. I told them that just yesterday I had similar services in another urgent care without any problems. They told me go back to them. I am planning to contact with is a board of medical examiners of state of New Jersey with a complaint for such treatment me as a patient.

So even though my experience with the front desk was positive, this makes me question them. Overall this was a standard urgent care. I liked how quickly I could schedule an appointment and how friendly the front desk was. The issue was that the PA could not actually properly treat me because the beds don't recline at all. I had to see another specialist and pay another copay for a service I should have gotten from them. She was nice but I didn't feel like the level of care matched what I should have received.

My nurse in radiology, Irene was very comforting. Dan, the ultrasound tech answered my million questions and offered good ideas and Dr Xi did the biopsy. There was a lot of calcium in the way, but for the samples they needed. They explained everything along the way and now we wait for results. No offense but I hope I don't see them anytime soon. very professional and caring people.

Our last scheduled appointment he never showed and stated that he had a heart attack patient in his in-person office, never rescheduled and has refused to respond back to myself, the Sesame team, and New York life who was supposed to be approving my leave of absence from work that Dr. Vaneet suggested. At this point I'm not even sure if I was supposed to have one because in addition to not filling out the paperwork properly he sent me documents with someone else's information on it twice. I am completely disheartened and disappointed in this experience because due to his negligence and lack of communication, I did not get paid while on the leave he recommended and have now lost my job because there was no paperwork turned in from him stating the reason that I needed leave. He needs to be removed from the Sesame platform immediately. This has impacted my mental health much worse than I was before. I pray for the others who have been neglected as well.

His son (who took over the practice) and the reason why they begged all their patients to stay went on a 2 month vacation from end of November until end of January ) AND did not staff the practice with any additional help. They literally have 1 doctor who is incredibly sketchy at best 3. They make appointments and keep you waiting for 2 hours past the appointment time and show no remorse stating that they only have 1 doctor 4. They are rude, disrespectful and do NOT care about you as a patient. 5. The office is filthy and dated I truly feel bad for the nurses in the office because they are stuck in an impossible situation with terrible employers !

I recently visited this urgent care due to my mother testing positive for a Covid with an at home…read moretest. We both went in with appointments one at 1:30pm and 1:45pm. We sat there an additional 45 minutes. When they called for my mom I just went in the same room with her. Our test came back one flu one covid. The doctor answered a phone call while being in the room with us. She also asked me about my other health issue and then went into her husband health issues with the same thing as mine for about 15 minutes. Which was reassuring and fine but not for 15 minutes. At the end of the visit she didn't prescribed me anything for the flu because she believed I was at the end of it. The next day I woke up and decided to get an at home test because I didn't believe that I had the flu. I actually tested positive for Covid also went to my regular doctor and I tested positive for Covid there. Moral of the story is that it was very unprofessional that the doctor answered a phone call in the middle of my visit and I got the wrong test results. I haven't ever had another issues at this urgent care. Just this recent time. It's hit or miss with what doctor you get. This doctor I even had to explain medical terminology to.

AFC had a large, clean waiting room and online check-in.  The exam room was also large, with enough room for the patient, a parent, and the medical staff.  The medical assistant who greeted us was kind and gentle with my daughter.  The PA, Alexa Klapach, was knowledgeable and actually listened to my daughter's symptoms and to my concerns. After being told to "wait and see" by City MD, Alexa confirmed what we already knew--that my daughter had an infection and needed antibiotics. We will definitely be going to AFC Denville for our urgent care needs.  It is clean and has a kind and knowledgeable staff--which is exactly what a patient needs when they are unwell.
