I live in the area and watched the lot change from a sandy riverbed to a graded level area to drive in. I have animals and I live near this camp. I am glad to see that hesperia is supportive of those of us who still enjoy the desert life and enjoy having our animals. This part of the desert is still very country and many people have small ranches over here. This is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood.

He has become dedicated and is always wanting to do his best when completing tasks. What we didn't expect--but are so grateful for--is how therapeutic this experience has been, especially with his favorite superhero horse, Murphy. Being around the horses has had a calming effect on him, and the ranch has become a safe, peaceful place where he feels comfortable and supported. It has also been a great success in helping with his fine motor delays. The staff are incredibly loving, patient, and understanding. For those complaining about not being able to use their phone on a rental trail ride, it's common sense, if you accidentally drop your phone, it holds up the trail line while the trail guide has to retrieve it for you ( not allowed to get on and off a rental horse)!, it may get broken (and who's fault is that?), stopping to click several photos slows down the timed ride for everyone, and when it falls it may spook the horse. 2. So you want to trot, lope or Gallup? Not on these mountain trails with a horse you aren't familiar , with totally inexperienced riders as well as seasoned riders, and children. Just because YOU think you are an experienced RIDER doesn't matter. These are not your horses. This is a business and safety for all comes first along with protecting the horse's safety. A lame horse cannot be ridden and that is costing vet bills as well as a loss of $65. - I'm a very experienced, seasoned rider.and previous horse owner. She is clear and direct on how to ride the horses in a way that puts you and them in a position of safety. Jacklyn noticed how comfortable I was on the ride and even let me lead on the way back which was wonderful. The views on our ride were absolutely breathtaking, and Jacklyn gave us a ton of information on the wildlife and nature in the area. It brings me a lot of gratitude knowing that supporting crazy horse ranch means supporting a horse rescue center. This past weekend's horseback riding trip was such a smooth and peaceful experience from start to…read morefinish. The staff was pleasant, welcoming, and made everything easy. Lauren, our trail leader, was amazing--very knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly experienced with both the riders and the horses. My horse was INDIGO. But all the horses were calm and not temperamental at all, which made the ride even more enjoyable and relaxing. I chose the early morning ride, and it was absolutely perfect. I had removed my flannel beforehand and wore only a sleeveless tee, which worked out great as the sun started to come up. Parking was very convenient, and I especially loved that this location is only about 20 minutes from my home in Canyon Springs. The trails through the Santa Ana Riverbed were lovely--peaceful, scenic, and exactly what I was hoping for. I will definitely be doing this again. It was such a better experience and value than driving all the way into the Los Angeles area for a ride. This gave me exactly what I wanted: a serene, beautiful morning on horseback in nature.
