First off avoid Dr. Clarke because she is affiliated with Baylor Scott & White, a very dishonest healthcare provider. There is a valid reason why insurance companies are dumping BS&W from their provider networks!
Second while Dr. Clarke is a pleasant individual she employs deceptive tactics to increase her billings. For example, she won't see a new patient for a physical which is covered by all insurance under preventative care, unless you first come in for a "meet and greet" which is not covered by most insurance. It's not considered preventative care!
This is a ridiculous requirement. No doctor should require a "meet and greet" for a new patient. A physical is a perfect time to establish a relationship with a new patient.
I have two immediate family members who are both doctors who feel this practice is deceptive, wrong, and done simply to increase billings! This tactic only increases a patient's out of pocket costs or diverts insurance money away from where it should be spent on sick individuals. The only person who benefits from this is the doctor and their wallet!
Finally during the physical Dr. Clarke was rather aggressive in ordering me to see additional doctors within the Baylor Scott & White family. When you step back to look at the situation they come across as a bunch of crooks working together. The dermatologist visit was probably necessary, but the sleep study was not, and some of the blood tests ordered were viewed as excessive and unnecessary based on other doctor's opinions.
My advice seek care with someone else and avoid all providers that are affiliated with Baylor Scott & White! read more
