So, to our surprise, we got to watch skydivers land, all well taking photos of this mural. It was a pretty awesome experience. Skydive DeLand is world renowned, opening its doors in 1982. It caters to first time jumpers all the way to world champion jumpers. This was Erica Group's first mural! It is representative of an old bi-plane. On her website she says she completed it by 12/20/2017. This day is a day I will never forget. Finding all the murals was such an adventure. And one that was for free. I highly recommend that everybody do this. Get out and see West Volusia County. You'll be surprised as to what you run into:) Definitely put a day aside for your adventure as you'll need it, as a whole day of fun awaits!

I've heard of her through a…read moregood friend of mine and he always told me how awesome she is, working day and night on perfecting a rig a for him. That made me think of "Jake from State Farm (Insurance)". If you've seen the commercial, you'll know that the husband is downstairs in the dark talking with Jake from State Farm on the phone at midnight or some odd hour. His wife comes downstairs and goes, "Who are you talking to?" Husband goes, "Uh, it's Jake, from State Farm". She grabs the phone and goes, "Hello, who's this?" Jake answers, "It's Jake with State Farm". Wife gives phone back to husband and goes, "She sounds hideous." LOL. Basically, that's the type of customer service you'll get. I got a new Viso II Altimeter. I told my friend that I wanted to order it first thing in the morning and Arlo texted me as soon as she got into the shop. I received such quick and amazing customer service with her super fun personality. I will go back to do business with them for sure. Typically, pilots who desire to fly a…read morepowered parachute, paramotor or hang glider trike must purchase each individual aircraft and a wing to match. This is costly and usually limits a pilot’s options to purchasing only one of the three. The exciting aspect of the new Hybrid ParaTrike is that an individual can now fly all three wings on one aircraft with one hanging system. The Hybrid ParaTrike gives the option of both foot and hand steering and throttle. The hanging system for the paraglider and parachute wing is at a distance that corrects the typical flat spot one usually sees when the wing is in flight and allows it to fly the way it was designed. The lines of the wing are split over multiple points on the hanging system by our Split Riser system which gives the aircraft a more stable flight by reducing torque twist and rocking. Other upgrades to the trike include in-flight adjustable Center of Gravity settings.

All of the instructors and videographers were awesome and fun. I was lucky enough to have Art as my instructor. He's absolutely the best! So funny and cool. He made sure I had the best, most adrenaline fueled birthday ever!! I've done a lot of industrial health and safety work and I appreciated how Art and everyone else were constantly checking and double checking equipment, altitude, and time; and worked like a well oiled team - I felt no worries. I highly recommend purchasing the video package if it's your first jump. Scotty was my videographer and he did an amazing job! Those videographers are really crazy! I received a link to my video package within hours and love the amazing video they sent. Of course I've shared it with everyone I know!! But what really surprised me was the number of high quality photos they sent as well. So worth the money! Personally, I think you'd be crazy to jump the first time and not get the video/pictures. They sent me a link for a discounted second skydive and as soon as I get my taxes filed I'm taking advantage of it! If you're thinking about skydiving for the first time, go to Skydive Palatka, they will take good care of you!!

I was rudely informed that customers are expected to "plan on waiting hours to get their turn." It appears that this is actually a first come - first served operation. I was informed that, if I didn't like it, we could go somewhere else. We did! I've been involved in Army airborne operations for over 30 years and find Skydive Palatka unsatisfactory. We surprised a bride to be during her bachelorette weekend with sky diving and it was great! We…read morewere originally scheduled for Sunday but they called us on Friday and told her the weather didn't look great so they accommodated us for Saturday first thing in the am. We told them we needed to be out by a certain time and they made sure we were in and out in record time. There was a whole separate indoors area for spectators which was perfect for a cold day in Florida. And once the bride to be was up in the plane and about to jump we were able to move outdoors to exactly where she would land and took some great pictures. Ben gave some good instructions on how much time it would take between when they took off to landing so we followed that and it was pretty accurate. Ben was the bride to be's instructor/co flyer and he was great! Funny, knew his stuff, clear, and cool. The ladies in the front registration area were also nice and on top of everything. The pictures they took were so good and $40 which was reasonable, the video was more expensive so we just got the pictures. We would certainly come again and this time join her in sky diving!
