Tandems coming in for a landing
    Justin M.

In the state of Georgia, there are only three skydiving facilities. Two work out of the same airport north-west of Atlanta. The other, Skydive Atlanta, is located directly south of Atlanta, in Thomaston, Ga. Spending most of my weekends at one of the three drop-zones, I've learned the ins and outs the different facilities. Skydive Atlanta's staff and regular customers are very welcoming and hospitable. The instructors are very experienced and very sober. The landing area is ideal. Flat and without trees. Not to bash the other drop-zones in Georgia; they have some great people, and offer a great time, although, from my experience, Skydive Atlanta is the best when it comes to safety, experience, friendliness and overall quality.

Going to Skydive Atlanta was an amazing experience for me! Everyone was is so friendly and the instructors are amazing! You have to wait a few hours from the time you sign in until the time you actually jump but they have a pretty cool hangout area with a board of places you can order takeout from! I'm the type of girl who doesn't even like roller coasters, I only went because it was something my husband wanted to do for his birthday, but my instructor kept me at ease. My instructor, Michael (aka Mikey), was amazing! He knew when to keep me laughing and knew exactly how to coach me to remain calm! It's definitely an experience I wouldn't mind reliving again! Great place for skydiving. An hour south of Atlanta. Military people jump here. Nice group of people and professionals in the skydive world. The landing area is relative large and plenty of spots for emergency landing, if the situation arise. Limited food options at the place, but some restaurants close by.

Where do I begin. This business has been sold, i found out today, the day, the day i was looking…read moreforward to surprising the most amazing woman in my life, out for a once in a lifetime experience on her birthday, TODAY, as i write this. I booked this last month 9/30, to be exact. I understood that any weather events etc. may result in a reschedule and I was willing to take that chance. I called the 677-2700 number the day before to confirm we were good to go and was greeted with a voicemail that said for a faster response to text that same number and I did, no response, I should've known, I never received a return call to either the call or text and was told they had no record of either when we showed up for the flight (has that ever happened to you? Not me and I live and die by my phone for work). I have screen shots of all these calls and texts. I called another number (the day of) listed on the confirmation receipt that went to voicemail after three rings and again another text that said they were on another call and to text for a response, this was one hour before flight time, no response. I called and called again only to get a text, finally, that the plane was in maintenance and i would have to reschedule, 20 minutes before our scheduled flight. My drive was two hours plus in Atlanta traffic ONE WAY for this. The suite they give you at the airport has almost zero mention of this company and there was no one there, I was told by the person (that never gave their name) that they had purchased the company from the prior owner with all the details of the squabbles resulting from this change in ownership. I don't care about any of that. Ask yourself before booking with these folks, I presume a loved one will be 10k plus feet in the air with you, would you trust them with that responsibility? This booking is an automated process, they have my email, my cell number, about anyway you could hope to contact me. If you're going to tell me the plane is in maintenance, wouldn't you, as a business owner, look at what you have booked and contact those people in advance to inform them given this was known well before? So I ask you again, do you want to be in a plane, with a loved one owned and operated by people that conduct their business in this manner? If you do, I pray for you. Maybe my girl and I dodged a bullet but they ruined something for someone so special. I ask you to look at the prices, this is not a cheap endeavor and in this day and age to not be able to communicate effectively is inexcusable. This is not a traveling fair, this is serious business so take this for what its worth. Hit me up if you want/can, I'll share all the texts. I'll be contacting all proper authorities to look into these people, hell, I've done Ifly and there was more professionalism and safety involved than anything i experienced with Biplane Rides over Atlanta by far. Best of luck. Be Safe, RN

My wife bought a ticket for the open biplane for my 45th birthday. It was an unfathomable expense…read morefor our family, but I was so excited. In the week leading up to the flight, I called five times to try to get details; not once did they call back. The day before, I called to check in and again no one answered. I left a voicemail. Just 15 minutes before the flight time, the plane was nowhere in sight and I got a text message that they cancelled it because they hadn't heard from me! After responding with proof that I had checked in, they then claimed that the plane was broken. To top it all off, they didn't even offer a refund. Great way to ruin a birthday, Biplane Rides over Atlanta!
