I cannot begin to explain how fantastic my experience was today. Got this as a present for my birthday--couldn't have chosen a better location! The land they were on is very nice. Weather was perfect, which also helped :) Everyone who worked here was also very nice and helpful. Let me give a HUGE shoutout to my instructor John, or "JD." I have jumped before, BUT I have never felt safer skydiving than with him. He started out by explaining his years of (very impressive) experience to me--14,000+ jumps is no small feat. And he shows it in his expertise! He very clearly and thoroughly explained everything I'd have to do during our flight and jump, even reiterating it to me before we left the plane so that I would know exactly what to do! He also has a great attitude and approach to the jump itself. It made me feel very comfortable knowing how comfortable and confident HE WAS in how great it was going to be. In the state of Georgia, there are only three skydiving facilities. Two work out of the same airport north-west of Atlanta. The other, Skydive Atlanta, is located directly south of Atlanta, in Thomaston, Ga. Spending most of my weekends at one of the three drop-zones, I've learned the ins and outs the different facilities. Skydive Atlanta's staff and regular customers are very welcoming and hospitable. The instructors are very experienced and very sober. The landing area is ideal. Flat and without trees. Not to bash the other drop-zones in Georgia; they have some great people, and offer a great time, although, from my experience, Skydive Atlanta is the best when it comes to safety, experience, friendliness and overall quality. read more

Going to Skydive Atlanta was an amazing experience for me! Everyone was is so friendly and the instructors are amazing! You have to wait a few hours from the time you sign in until the time you actually jump but they have a pretty cool hangout area with a board of places you can order takeout from! I'm the type of girl who doesn't even like roller coasters, I only went because it was something my husband wanted to do for his birthday, but my instructor kept me at ease. Great place for skydiving. An hour south of Atlanta. Military people jump here. Nice group of people and professionals in the skydive world. The landing area is relative large and plenty of spots for emergency landing, if the situation arise. Limited food options at the place, but some restaurants close by. read more

I have jumped at this location four times and every time I signed up for 8:30am and I don't jump until well after 12pm. I'm one of the first people to show up in the hangar and they prioritize people over you. The ladies in the front office were not helpful at all - never a smile, bad attitude, and they weren't able to tell me when I was going to jump. The jumps are overpriced. They only jump on the weekends which makes me think this is the employee's "second-gig". I was a repeat customer but I will no longer jump at Skydive Atlanta. read more

Best Day Ever! This is the place and these are the people you want to go Skydiving! To celebrate my 50th birthday, my sister-in-law and I finally stopped talking about it an made the jump. The operation is simple and organized with just the right amount of training repetition especially for a first timer like me. We arrived early (11am) to give us plenty of time to see how everything worked and of course for basic training. What a rush! First-time jump, EXCEEDED expectations. Skydive Atlanta team was very friendly and knowledgeable, put safety first, and made sure you had a fun experience. Kind of pricey, but I recommend getting the top-tier video/picture package, especially if you don't expect to jump again (I most definitely will...INCREDIBLE thrill). Then I got here with my group and they wouldn't let me go because I was 10 pounds over their 265 weight limit that was not on any place I checked. I went skydiving here with my friend and bought the "Standard Video & Photo Package" where you get your own photographer jumping in front of you photographing you in different angles. We thought we could get some cool pictures to keep as memories until we got our USBs and realized that she got 111 amazing pictures in the air and I got 12 that all looked the same - closeups of my face. I was very disappointed since I spent a lot of money and did not get what I was shown. When I contacted Skydive Atlanta I experienced a really bad costumer service, the person answering my e-mails said that my pictures were perfect and that they can't promise the same quality since their photographers have different levels of skills and different long time of experience. So if you want some good pictures, don't trust this company because apparently it's a lottery between having someone who's been doing this for 15 years or someone who started yesterday as your skydive photographer - and the choise is not yours. I was offered a discount on my photo package for my next jump but I will not spend a single penny here again. read more

Took my daughter tandum skydiving here for her 18th birthday. These guys know what they're doing. Bobby provided very professional instruction on the entire process; what to expect, how equipment worked, redundant safety mechanisms, etc. Michael was my daughter's instructor and provided for a colorful and entertaining experience. Our videographer was exceptional and produced a high-quality product we can't quit watching. Needless to say, my daughter has been the envy of her peers since it posted on facebook.
