During our visit, we attempted to sit at two open seats at the bar. The bartender, Rob, informed us that the seats were saved. Despite the seats being open, I sat down, after which Rob handed me my drink and told me I had to move because the other guest was returning. To my shock, he also implied to the guest that I was trying to claim his tip money, which was entirely untrue and inappropriate. I requested that a manager be called. Mark, the food and service manager, was brought over but unfortunately ignored us, leaving our concerns unaddressed. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable

SkyBar 38 is the rooftop bar at the Marriott Grand Chateau. I'm not 100% sure if they'll let you up if you aren't a guest as you have to show a room key to get into the elevator and further scan a room key to enter the rooftop. (That part could be much better marked - I initially thought they were closed because I didn't know to scan my room key) Anyway, know that the bar is only open until 10pm. There's a pool up here too and that's open til midnight. The downside here is the drinks are WAY expensive and not especially strong ($14+). I had a pina colada that was meh at best, but the orange cocktail was damn tasty though! Now - the good parts! The views are incredible, especially looking south. You get a great view of most of the strip - just gorgeous and definitely worth checking out. Also great was super service from our great bartender Stive - he was very friendly and gave us some good restaurant recommends. If you're a smoker, you are allowed to smoke up here, just in a designated area.

Bartender was on break- no service at popular time , early evening. Very disappointed as it was at last cool enough to enjoy.

From the second you walk in, she greets you like family, and before you've even settled onto your stool, your drink is already on its way, made exactly how you like it. Mine's a Tanqueray and tonic, my wife's is a lemon drop, and Rachel has never once needed a reminder. She doesn't just do that for us. She knows everyone at that bar by name and exactly what they drink. And those drinks are killer. Her lemon drop is perfectly balanced, never too sweet, and my T&T comes out crisp and right every time. You can tell she takes real pride in her craft. But what really sets her apart is her energy. Rachel lights up the whole room. She's quick, she's funny, she's warm, and she makes a busy bar feel like your neighborhood spot. She's juggling a full bar and still makes every person feel like the most important customer there. Mark my words: one day Rachel is going to be running her own place, and when she does, we'll be the first ones through the door. Until then, Sammy's is lucky to have her. If you're coming in, sit at the bar and ask for Rachel. You'll thank me later.

It went downhill from there. I ordered an omelette but was served a scrambled mess. When I told her I ordered an omelette not scrambled eggs she said "oh that's how he cooked it". I couldn't put enough salt and pepper to make it edible. The breakfast potatoes weren't even warm and had no flavor at all. My wife ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and no peppers. It came with sausage and peppers. What a waste!

The waitress I had was pretty surly and unfriendly, but after waiting 15 minutes and placing my order, I didn't see her again and that was fine. The food arrived promptly so I settled into that. At first I thought the omelette was pretty small, but perhaps it was perfectly sized after eating it all. I didn't go into the restaurant because I sat on the small patio, so I cannot really comment on the ambience of the place. I guess it is golf which is rather dull using any metric. The food is the focus here and it was good.

The glorious Double Down Saloon. In the modern era of glitzy, flashy, and ultra processed Vegas,…read morethe DD will provide you with an absolute respite from all of that the moment you walk in the door. This is a glorious punk-oriented dive bar. That should be real clear from the distance you have to travel into a very undescript section of Vegas to get to it. On the outside, everything should already be screaming YES to you if you have a taste for great bars like these. For example, the first time I ever visited, on top of the marquee bill was Jello Biafra. Yeah it's like that. The music, the vibe, the crud - it's all on point. The cocktails are colorfully named and presented (I'm sure plenty of reviews will highlight the toilet shot) but I'd say they're kind of the weakest part of this joint. Just stick to straight booze, rejoice that you're not surrounded by as loud AF bachelorette party on a casino floor, and get hammered in the "Happiest Place on Earth'.

Fantastic grungy dive bar in Las Vegas!…read more I honestly can't believe it's taken us so long to check this venue out, especially since concerts are always free here. Our favorite punk band, The Mormons, happened to be playing here which is what drew us in. Loved the atmosphere with dollar bills and some R rated photo strips hanging around the bar area along with various stickers & graffiti filling the rest of the space. Truly feels like a quintessential Vegas dive bar. Bartenders weren't overly friendly, just there to do their job, but they served beers / cocktails quickly. We had a few PBR's which were $5 each. Fellow patrons were really friendly. I even made a friend during the show! For anyone with sensitive ears, the speakers are LOUD, so be sure to bring your ear protection. I loved the loud music, but my husband was suffering a bit. As per a usual dive bar, it is also smoky inside. If cigarette smoke bothers you, snag a spot near the entrance since they leave the door open for fresh air. This was everything I expected from a dive bar with a small stage for cool bands. We'll be back!
