I went in to get Botox which I've been getting for over 2 years. I have a specific pattern I like on my forehead of 20 units and then I like 5 units on each side of my brows to smooth out the crows feet. The injector decided on her own accord to put all 30 units in my forehead and said she was trained to do Botox that way and that she was only going to do what I asked because I was there. I know what I need in my face and where I want the injections. I don't like when these day spas try to up sell and tell me I need more when I clearly don't. I don't even have that many wrinkles to begin with. I do not recommend this place. I just left and I'm beyond irritated that she couldn't work with the 30 units on my face and now I don't have any units in my crows feet area. I will not be going back unless they fix this. read more

As the date of my first review states, I have been undergoing treatments at Sky Skin Center for quite some time. I recently wrote the owner an email; it reads: There are several reasons that I chose to write this email; primarily, Andy (Andrea) has done a wonderful job with these procedures. I sincerely couldn't be more pleased with my results. My entire face has approved in appearance and I'm no longer concerned with a person looking too closely at me and wondering if he or she is judging me! This brings me to my second point; when I finally bit the bullet and purchased a laser package, Andy made me feel so comfortable. She explained everything that was happening clearly, made me feel safe, and could not have been kinder, more invested, or more professional. While many "average women" feel intimidated and even out of place when undergoing this sort of procedure in a skin care center or salon, Andy has been nothing short of a breath of fresh air. She is the sole reason that I continue to commute from Watertown to Saugus rather than scheduling an appointment somewhere more local. You truly have a gem in this particular employee. Sorry, I did not have a great experience here. I went in for 6 laser hair removal sessions on my bikini area. First, the process was not explained to me whatsoever before I started treatment. I had to ask (I think her name is spelled Irina) a lot of questions to get any information from her. She kept repeating "don't worry", which actually just made me worry more, because she wasn't readily providing answers. I got the feeling like she was in a rush. Second, I'm not sure exactly how hygienic this process is. The laser instrument is placed in some very sensitive areas and I never saw the instrument being cleaned. I did ask how it was cleaned and Irina told me that they used something akin to clorox wipes. I probably should not have returned after that, but Irina assured me it was ok (though I wasn't totally convinced) and I had already purchased a 6-session package. Third, it seemed as if Irina was moving about on my skin in a random manner. She told me that she moves in a pattern to remember which areas of the skin she has lasered. However, each time I went in it was different! She absolutely missed some areas multiple times. I tried to remind her, but I didn't want to seem like a pain. Lastly, I saw very little improvement in my hair growth. It's MAYBE a little bit more sparse, but nothing all that noticeable. When I went in for my 5th session I told Irina I wasn't seeing improvement. She said that was "unusual" and that I must be "very hairy". EXCUSE ME? Even if I were an ape I would not expect a salon (a place that should help make you feel beautiful) to tell me I was too hairy and that maybe I should purchase additional treatments. Yeah, right. I didn't even come in for my final treatment that I had already paid for because it wasn't worth my time. I was a good customer, and a good tipper. I expect better service. read more

I adore Andrea ("Andie") Primo. She was my laser technician here, and it was the first time I ever got laser hair removal done. She is friendly, a consummate professional, and she makes the whole process so much easier. It feels like someone is snapping a rubber band against your skin; but I'm a wimp--have never even broken a bone in my life--and I didn't cry. It helped to talk to Andie through the whole sessions, and it really does get easier with each consecutive session. I started coming here through a referral from my friends. They all had a great experience with this place and even went back for different treatments. It was highly recommended from them, we are all in the same neighborhood. It was a hike for us to go to Saugus, but it was well worth it. I see Andie, she is great. I am still in the process of my treatments, so I may update this again later. I am going into my third laser hair removal treatment next week, and I haven't even needed to shave yet, it's been 5 weeks. normally by this time i would have need a wax. I was so happy with the results that i purchased another treatment for another area which they were nice enough to let me do both treatments on the same day to save me the trip of going there twice. First time laser-er and certainly not disappointed! While I can't speak to the results (yet -- too soon to tell!), I can rave about the experience. I had Andie and she was sweet, professional, fluent everything she does, and friendly - we talked throughout the (very quick) session and she explained everything in detail. She told me what I could expect, what areas do and don't respond well to treatment, and to wear lots of SPF (shocker come from a skin-care center, I know). The place is very clean, equipment is absolutely professional grade, and nothing about this place makes you question whether or not this is a good idea. Think doctor's office clean. I found this diamond in the rough while researching nearby spas. I first went in for a PCA peel and took my teenage daughter with me to get a Triple B facial and microdermabrasion. She ended up getting her eyebrows and upper lip waxed as well. Susan was absolutely wonderful. She did my peel first and then took care of my daughter. She was so attentive and warm and soothing as she explained each step of the peel. (My results were excellent - mild peeling after 2 days and my skin looked radiant - I signed up for a pack of 5 after seeing the results - and got one fre) My daughter also loved her and she is not an easy one to please. I also went back after 2 weeks and had botox and radiesse done by the owner, Hatha. THe botox was free with the purchase of Radiesse, so I decided... why not. Hatha is so unbelievable. Let me just tell you....She truly is an artist. I am so amazed at the time she took with the placement of each injection. Just in awe of the results. She is so nice - so informative. Please don't be fooled by the services performed by ex-employees who really don't work here any longer! As any business, they need help and you don't know who you're getting until they start working. This is why all these people were fired. Hathai, the owner of the business, on the other hand, is extremely nice, knowledgeable, not only to perform treatments, but also of the skin anatomy and functions. She's happy to take her time and recommends treatments for any issues you may have, but not too pushy, plus she never mentions the conversation after. Very punctual, wherever she has an upcoming treatment and you're still in the room, she apologies in a professional manner and points you to the registration desk, for a follow up. Extremely flexible and understanding toward moving appointments, follows up by phone and sends appointment reminders. I usually purchase the two for 160$ for my full face, I've gone other places that have charged over 300$ for photofacials and have been far less superior than andie's. I've just started going to Sky Skin Center for laser hair removal. Ive gone elsewhere for other areas at a much higher cost. They have good quality equipment (I am an aesthetician) and offer great prices. I will try them for my Botox and Juviderm when I'm due again and update on those services later. I went to Andie at Sky Skin Center because of the great reviews of her on Yelp. I am so glad I did! She is so warm and friendly and she has so much experience and knowledge. She told me all of my options right away and there was no pressure at all. I have had IPL and Photofacials at other places in the past but the treatments with Andie are far better quality with quicker results. I didn't know results like this were even possible! If anyone wants to consider having any brown spots or blemishes magically disappear from your face or anywhere else, Andie is the best. Andie was also extremely helpful with scheduling my appointment since I have a busy work schedule and she met with me during her lunch hour to accommodate me. How nice! She also seems to run the whole office on the weekends, answering phones and being the receptionist while also meeting with all customers. She books up fast so plan ahead and expect to book her out weeks in advance if you want/need a Saturday appointment. read more

I'm 2/6 treatments in for laser hair removal on my underarms, and I can't say enough good things about this place. First of all, Kasey is awesome. She is super friendly and definitely knows what she's doing. I had no idea what to expect with laser hair removal when I went in for the first treatment, but before actually starting the laser Kasey had answered all my questions and explained everything so that I felt very comfortable. She is also always asking to make sure the laser isn't too painful, which hasn't been a problem for me at all but is very considerate nonetheless. As for the results, after just my first treatment about half of my hair was gone. I know the hair grows in cycles so I will have to wait until all my treatments are complete to know the final results but I am extremely pleased with the results thus far. Like some of the other reviewers have said, I only wish I had done this years ago! Edit: I'm now done with 9/9 treatments (I bought an extra three because the first six didn't quite get it all--well worth the money in my opinion!) and have overall had a phenomenal experience here. This morning in particular was a perfect example of their excellent customer service and one of the reasons I will be going back here if I decide to get more laser treatments. I had totally forgotten about my 10:30 appointment until my phone reminded me at 10:29, and panicked right away because I really hate being late/missing appointments. I immediately called and talked to Andie (who did my last few treatments and is GREAT), apologizing profusely for my mistake. Not only did she NOT charge me for missing the appointment, but she figured out a time to squeeze me in a little later so I didn't have to reschedule. So if you want great results and great customer service, I definitely recommend giving Sky Skin Center a shot :) read more

OK, here's my update a year later and sans lots of unwanted hair. So far the adventure has included lower legs and underarms (I knew you'd want to know) and this is my first summer almost RAZOR FREE. I only wish I'd done this years ago, because frankly to not have to worry much about shaving is a dream come true. I can't wait to tackle another "region" so that I can ditch the razor entirely. If you are on the fence about laser hair removal, add up the number of razor blades you are using, extra time in the shower, shaving cream, overall pain in the tush factor and you'll see it's actually quite inexpensive and it's really green. No more razors in the trash and shaving cream going into the water supply. Laser not razor, that's my motto. Search out a Groupon and get started. I recommend Susan or Kaycee of Sky Skin! read more

SSC is just awesome. I first found this place via a groupon I purchased for hair removal. Since then I've gotten very familiar with their services and products. Jackie, (my miracle worker) has always helped me figure out how to help my skin. When I first got there I had severe acne and overly oily skin, so she recommended chemical peels and microdermabrasion treatments (which she performed on me). Now, I have less unwanted hair and great skin. I don't know about most people in this world, but those little changes have improved my esteem and confidence and that means the world to me. I am so glad I found SSC and Jackie. Without her knowledge and genuine care for how to improve my skin I would still feel like an awkward adult that never officially left puberty with all the skin issues I had. I 100% recommend this place just as long as Jackie is the one treating you for your skin needs. She will hold your hands threw your skin fears and ignorance and help you discover a better more natural you (with awesome skin).
