While visiting Mt. Pleasant for business, I asked the front desk staff at the hotel where to go for a mani and pedi. I was given the directions to here and another place. This was the first one that I came to so I stopped here. It was busy inside. I stood in line while customers paid for their services. She. I got to the counter I asked if they had room for a walk-in for a mani/pedi. Unfortunately they could only fit me in for the manicure. Looks good though. It was a wait but I am pleased.

Gel... didn't come close to my cuticles.. they look grown out right as I walked out of the salon

This was my second time visiting this salon. Really disappointed in how my nails turned out. Purely leaving this review to help them improve. The people are very nice, but my nails are not something I would pay for again.

I have been to this salon once before and my experience was great! I got exactly what I asked for by my technician but I can't remember his same. The second time I came in I made an appointment for an acrylic fill and I had Tammy. She did horrible with my nail removal she left some of my old set color on my nail and visibly saw it and drilled so hard my nails felt like they were burning. They were also very red underneath and irritated. She did somewhat what I asked for but I told her that I wanted white with chrome on top. I asked her to also cut down my nails twice and she did not do it after telling her I need them shorter because I type a lot. I was very upset with the service due her doing what she wanted and did not listen to me. I would go back there but do not have Tammy.

I had a good experience here for my basic gel pedi. Appointments are required, and apparently my appointment was scheduled at 5:15pm on a Saturday and they close at 6 so they typically don't take appointments past 5 on Saturdays and weren't sure how I got scheduled for then. They were running a little behind so I wasn't brought back to the chair until quarter to 6, but my tech did an amazing job and didn't rush at all, even though we didn't finish until 7pm and I knew she was staying late. It was a very thorough pedi and I loved how it turned out! The employees were all super friendly and the salon seemed pretty clean, other than some water behind the chairs I briefly set my purse down in without realizing but that could happen anywhere and they gave me a towel right away so no harm done. Overall a nice place and I would definitely return.

    Cut up cuticle, stopped bleeding.

When I originally went in it was to get an acrylic fill. I was sent to the technician Tammy. My previous set was from a different salon and I went here because the original one was closed. So I made an appointment there (walk in wasn't available that day and got me in a couple hours later) I sat down with Tammy and she told me she needed to take a couple nails off. She started to take off a "couple Nails" (took off 8 of my original nails) I then asked if I could just get a new set out on. (Since I only had 3 of the original set on) she got a little upset. Mind you she was using another nail extension and a cuticle cutter to take off my original set. (My real nails underneath were SORE) I asked for them a little longer then the original set and she left them a little longer but longer than I wanted, I asked for them to be shortened a little and she kind of rolled her eyes and said "you wanted them longer now their too long." She got them to the length I was happy with. She started using the drill to clean them up and proceeded to keep hitting the skin around my nails, and using the long hand file and kept hitting my hands with it. She was very rough (which I took as she was being rushed as she now has to do a full set instead of a fill.) Now time to put the polish on.. I asked for a pink with chrome on top. She went and got the chrome and wanted to see what it would look like on the acrylic. I didn't like it. (She only put it on one nail.) I asked for a pink color underneath with the chrome on top. She then pulls out a glittery pink color to which I ended up liking, but it wasn't what I asked for. The whole time she was putting the polish on she was saying her other client is walking in and she's running behind and basically glad I didn't pick the chrome. Come the end of the experience she rushed through the oil on my cuticles and said "leave the oil on until you get home, your cuticles are dry." Told me the total, I walked up to the cashier and she rang me up, and another worker walked up next to her and Tammy told me the total then the worker that walked up said "your total is really this..". Tammy was saying my total was less than what she had rang up. Was off by not even $2. I understood that the appointment got changed, but I felt like I was a nuisance, and that my appointment was being rushed. I walked out with a total different set, total different color and bleeding, with oil and glue all over my fingers. :(

And it needed another coat which he did not do (my fault I should of been more demanding I guess because he did not listen to me at all). Waste of $50 Now my mani. I showed him a picture of what I wanted (very simple basically asked from color tips nothing to crazy) and I needed them to be short. When he cut them down I told him it's still a little to long for my liking. He told me not to worry when he file them they will be shorter. So he applied the acrylic and then file it down. At this point my nails are uneven, thick as hell, and separated from my real nail (lifting). So again I was being really nice about it and told him and he applied super glue to the gap! WTF... so at this point I just wanted to cry. I finally had the courage to ask him to stop. So the owner comes over take a look and said he was sorry and that it's not fixable he will take them off. So yes two hours wasted. And they still ask me to pay for my pedi. Not a great experience at all. All I got was a sorry and if you would like to come back they can try again. I'll pass! I did not get a chance to take a pic of my nails but here's a pic of my pedi. Save your money or at least be careful who you decide to go to! That was my first time there and I will never go back!

8 days later, polish is chipping and they wouldn't do the all nails without me paying full price. Smh!

Halfway through she asked me a question and realized she wasn't doing what I wanted. My hair was so full of hairspray at this point that she could barely work with it. She kept checking the time and said that she had another appointment soon. Eventually she gave up and asked me if I liked it. Me being 17 and not wanting to be rude, I said yes. She proceeded to do my makeup (which was $50 plus more for false lashes), did not match my skin tone, blend into my hairline, apply any highlight/lipstick/contour and here's the real kicker: told me to apply my own mascara at home. I even tipped this stylist 20% spending $118 to receive something that I could have done myself at home. I am attaching what I showed her for reference photos and what I actually got. I would highly recommend choosing another salon.

Side note, this salon has treated me well with their hair services. I consider myself a generous tipper since I work in tipped wage as well. My hairdresser Liz and the other stylists always take care of me with respect. My nail appointment prior , went five minutes over and I ended up being ten minutes late for my hair appointment. I walked in to Jani? saying she has an appointment at 1, so she has to do a quicker service than usual, I said that wasn't a problem. I would just love a trim and a quick blow dry for the wedding later. Walking up to the chair, she then tells me that she's going to service my hair by FLAT IRONING my unwashed hair and DRY CUT IT... since she has an appointment at 1. I stated it was only 11:43 and she said, this appointment is actually 12. She denied me service after making an appointment knowing it was for a special occasion. There was no one else in the salon but her and her off-the-clock coworker. I have never been so disappointment in someone. She said "sorry," and I left. The whole event didn't sit well so I called and said I really didn't appreciate the way she communicated with me and Ive never really heard any hair stylist deny a planned service, to customer who has booked in advanced. Long story short... I said I didn't expect her to service my hair after all of this and she said "Im sorry, (monotone voice) is there anything I can say to MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER" Salon 3 Twelve is a great salon. Im talking about the one individual worker who turned into what was supposed to be a day of happiness and relaxation, into a stressful outcome.
