The entire team pays close attention to detail and never rushes their work--you can really tell they care about their clients and their craft. I get my manicures from Thao and Shelly, and my pedicures from Chi, and I couldn't be happier. Shelly is incredibly artistic and talented. If you're looking for small flowers or detailed nail designs, she is your person! She's also super sweet, friendly, and always makes the experience enjoyable. Chi gives the best pedicures. She has strong hands and gives a deep, relaxing leg and foot massage. I always choose the signature pedicure because it includes a 10-minute massage and paraffin wax for your feet--so worth it! Sky Nails has been open for about a year now, and they are always busy, which says a lot about their quality and service. I definitely recommend making an appointment ahead of time. They have nice massage chairs when you get a pedicure and have 12 of them on both sides with another 10 manicure stations. I've tried so many nail spas in PB and sky nails is my favorite by far! I've only ever had amazing experiences here. First off, it's beautifully decorated-- very spacious, bright, and luxurious. They offer you a beverage of your choice which is a really nice touch. It is also super convenient that you can book appointments via their website, I've never had to wait when I booked in advance and they usually have many slots open for same-day appointments. Most importantly the quality of work here is excellent!! I have gotten multiple Gel X sets with designs + pedicures, and they always exceed my expectations and I'm in love with my nails afterwards. All of the staff I've met are super friendly and really take their time + pay attention to detail which I appreciate. (Special shoutout to Shelly and Mimi - they are the sweetest nail techs ever and they made me feel right at home!!) Today, however, I had a 4:15 appointment, arrived on time, and was still sitting in the chair at 4:35 when I was told it would be another 10 minutes. What really pushed me to write this review was watching another customer who arrived after me get taken first, apparently because she's also a regular. If appointments don't hold any priority, what's the point of booking one? Went here for the first time for a builder gel fill and pedi! I got my fill from Kai who did such a great job!!! He really nailed (lol pun intended) the shape. I told him I wanted my nail to be rounder but still elongate my hands and he did just that and better! For my pedi, Chi did it and did such a great job as well. I am always between two styles or colors, and she took the time to show me different shades of pink, and checked in through out the shaping to make sure I liked the length and shape. I'm not one to go out of their way to provide negative reviews. I was not planning on posting even though I had to get a replacement manicure at a different shop, and was initially overcharged for my services. However, after developing a toenail infection and fungal growth on my toes did I decide it was time to leave a review. I booked a manicure and pedicure appointment. Both services were done at the same time so I was unable to see if the tool used on my toes came from a new package or not. Looking back on my experience I believe they were not from a new package and just came from the middle of her cart. The massage was the best part of the pedicure. The pedicure was missing basics done in EVERY pedicure I have ever had including: cuticle care, sidewall cleaning, and simple buffing. The manicure was a different story. I provided the technician with a picture of a simple design I wanted to emulate. He said he could do it and together we planned out the design. I requested a square shape nail with rounded edges. He attempted to make that shape... and attempted the design. The first hand was okay (I do not expect it to perfectly match the picture), but the second hand was terrible and went off script. Additionally, following the manicure the technician did not bring the file out to remove any hard edges following the dried polish. Immediately upon leaving the salon i had corners of my nail missing polish, squiggly lines, sharp corners, and rough nails. I went home and had to try to round off my corners and edges. Eventually I had enough of my nails and went to a different shop to have them fixed. There they discovered that one of my nails was broken during my manicure from Sky Nails. After consistent pain in my big toes, I looked down to discover that my left toe nail is infected from the pedicure and both big toes have fungal growth surrounding the nails. I am upset because I have heard from friends that this is a solid place to go, but sadly I will not be returning. read more

This place has decent reviews and is close to work, so I thought I'd give them a try for a pedicure. From the outside, it is very uninviting, I debated whether or not to enter, it looked sketchy. Inside it is gorgeous, very clean, bright, shiny and new. That's unfortunately where my praise ends. They had a girl do my pedicure, I don't know if it's the first pedicure she's given, but it felt that way! She was tentative about everything. She didnt even speak minimal English enough to understand, cut down? Couldn't ask questions. I chose a middle of the road pedicure package with gel. No manicure. It was a little pricey $75 but I don't mind paying for good services. This girl had no idea how to cut toenails. Seriously? I do have a little bit of ingrown and my feet are tender anyway but I was nervous with this girl. She wanted to drill on my toes, including on the sides near the skin. Are you intending to grind off my whole toenail to the skin, I'm wondering? Also the tools she pulled from her tray didn't come out of a package. Are they sanctified at all? She made me so nervous and filled with anxiety that she was going to do some real damage! There was another older nail tech next to us who I guess sensed i was uncomfortable and kept looking at her, checking. Finally I said ok that's enough, I'm done here. I took my wet feet with my previous gel removed and half cut toenails and put on my rubber flip flops and walked out. The older tech offered to finish my pedicure. No thank you. The owner (I guess) called after me, let us fix it. I was already upset and done with this place. It was pretty busy on a Tuesday evening after work, I'm sure they won't miss my business. I've been getting my nails and toes done for 30+ years and have never had such a bad experience. read more

My experience at Sky Nails was a disgrace. I made an appointment, and had to wait 2 hours before they started my nails. The job was terrible. The nail tips were uneven and had to be done over. The manager was rude, and did his best to make the situation worse. I would not recommend Sky Nails to anyone. This is my second time here and I will NOT be back. I wasn't too satisfied with my first visit hence why I hadn't been since my first visit back in July with Kevin, but my usual Nail Tech was out of town. I was initially quoted $65 total, but then when it came time to pay, I was told it was an extra $15 for "long" nails but not once did he tell me that beforehand. So $80 for this crap. Of COURSE he had conveniently left before it was time to pay, but when the lady at the front called him, he admitted he didn't tell me that, and he said "Of course long nail cost more, last time charge you $10" which is a lie too because he didn't, and my nails were shorter this time around when I came compared to the first time. Anyways, this is what I got versus what I asked for. Not even CLOSE! I went to the restroom immediately after he was finished and when I came out he was gone so I couldn't even voice my dissatisfaction to him about the overall job. Will DEFINITELY be filing a dispute for the extra $15 charge that was not disclosed. I don't mind paying $80 for my nails but make them be worth $80. This shop caters to a certain demographic that only gets plain manicures and basic French tips, so they can overcharge due to their location. No actual REAL nail art is done though hence how I ended up with a set that looks NOTHING like the pic I brought in. These type of places nickel and dime you for everything and that's why I don't usually patronize these places. No respect for the customer. The guy that did my nails not only has a bad attitude and a smart mouth, he doesn't know what he's doing because any seasoned NT knows you don't file the nails AFTER they're dry because you break the seal formed once the polish is dried. Save your money and the disappointment and go somewhere else. read more
