I never gave anyone a bad review before but this situation is unacceptable, so I have to share my…read moreexperience booking an appointment with Wax it Babe. I've been waxing for 10 years, but It's been harder to book with my usual esthetician so I thought I'd branch out and give this new place a try. I originally booked my full body waxing appointment for Saturday, July 29th at 2 pm. The booking website was really easy to use and everything seemed to go smoothly. Then 2 hours before my appointment, Samantha texted me she's feeling sick and asked if I can come in the following day which is Sunday, July 30th. I understand that people get sick and emergencies do come up, plus I'm an inpatient clinical pharmacist so I'm all about promoting health. I agreed to reschedule and Samantha books me for Sunday, July 30th at 10 am. Sunday morning comes, and my husband drops me off downtown. I came 5 mins early before my appointment and sat and waited for 30 minutes but no one shows up. I texted and called Samantha but there was no response. Keep in mind that I work a compressed graveyard schedule at the hospital working 7 consecutive nights; this particular week I was doing an 11 consecutive nights streak (12 hour shifts). I was pretty exhausted because I just got off my 8th night of graveyards with still another 3 nights to go. After waiting 30 minutes, I realized Samantha wasn't going to show up at all, and I had to go home and sleep so I left. What's funny is the appointment never took place, but I still received an automatic email thanking me for my business and asking me to leave a review, so a review I will submit. First of all, this is very unprofessional of Samantha because she never responded or reached out to me even after no showing to my appointment. I actually waited 5 days before posting this review to see if she'd reach out to explain what happened, but obviously she has no integrity or courtesy nor care about her business or clients. Second of all, Samantha has no regards for people's valuable time and I would never recommend my friends, family, or co-workers to Wax it Babe. I won't be dwelling over this and am still positive because it just means another opportunity to find a greater wax spot. I'm giving Elixr Wax Bar a try and even signed up for their membership package for frequent waxers; so far no issues! Good luck if you're booking an appointment with Wax it Babe!
