Before breaking down my experience, let me just jump in and say this was the best facial I've ever had and I've been getting facials for over 10 years! I went Julie because my face was severely dry from postpartum dehydration and winter weather. I literally feel like I aged 10 years in 1 season. My skin was flaky and fine lines were becoming more prominent. Like many women, I wanted Julie to work a miracle and fix my face in 1 visit . The crazy thing is that she actually did AMBIANCE: The room was dimly lit with that clean spa smell that just whispers "relax". The service bed was extremely comfortable. I actually fell asleep a few times during the service. PROCESS: Julie introduced me to a DMK facial that helps oxygen pump to the skin and helps with blood circulation and oxygen coming up just below the surface and helps promote my own collagen production exactly what I needed RESULTS: My face felt so smooth with no more dry scaliness on the surface. I went to Julie for the first time last year to use a facial certificate I won and was so pleasantly surprised. I have only had two other facials and didn't find them to be good experiences. My skin is sensitive so after poking and prodding it looks like a sea of red blotches, but since I had the certificate I figured I'd give Julie a try. Julie was SO nice, offering me tea or wine when I got to her small studio. Then I laid down on a massage type table and she covered me with a blanket and put my hands in warm mitts while she proceeded to gently give me a papaya facial (I upgraded). The Elizabeth Grady products she used were amazing - smelled great and were very soothing to my sensitive skin. I could feel her clearing my pores and yet it didn't hurt! Jules is truly the best. I've been going to her for about 6 years and every time I go in to see her I have such a pleasant experience. Easy parking, her space is super relaxing and extremely clean (relaxing music,essential oils), and on top of this she is so sweet and fun to talk to. She uses hard wax and has adopted techniques to ensure that her clients feel the least amount of pain as possible. After reading the mixed reviews of Pretty Kitty/Undercarriage/Beauty and Body etc. on Yelp, I decided to call Jules Skin Studio - no reviews on Yelp but 24 bucks for a Brazilian (coupon in the Reader). Julie fit me in for the day after I called - she was awesome! Very professional and friendly! Her salon suite (it's in a salon suite building) is clean with relaxing music playing. She stepped out while I changed and did a thorough job, getting out the tweezers for the strays. For some reason, the Brazilian didn't hurt as much as usual. Completely comfortable experience for something that can kind of be awkward. I'd go again and I'd recommend her to others. read more

I love Jules, by far the best brazilian I have ever had done was from here. I've only done the hard wax, which I'm told is less painful, and not only is that true but I was shocked how long it lasted. It remained hairless much longer then any other wax job. I always get ingrown hairs, it's just part of waxing, but amazingly, not with Jules! Also, the atmosphere is great, I always feel every comfortable during the process. I used Julie's brazilian special, 34 for first time customers, which in itself is a deal. This was also my first time ever getting waxed "down there" so I was pretty damn nervous!! Julie was super calm and patient with me, promising me it won't be as bad as I think and making me feel extremely comfortable, even though I was stark naked from the waist down, haha. After pouring me a glass of much-needed red wine, she got started!! Julie uses the cirepil brand wax, which is a stripless hard wax, and as I learned that day, much better and gentler on the skin, especially those who are sensititve, like me. She never double-dips her waxing sticks, which is great because I sure wouldn't want someone's double-dipped stick from a brazilian in the same wax she would use on my eye-brows. So after each application, she throws out the used stick and grabs a brand new one :) Her place is super clean and relaxing with calming music and wine as I mentioned before. We talked the whole wax and even laughed about how she needs to find super long straws so her clients can drink and get waxed at the same time, haha. By the time she was done, I went from being a little embarrassed about showing her my goods at first, to laughing about how soft my skin is now and how nice it will be not to have to shave for a couple weeks. I would recommend Julie to anyone and everyone. She has a great first-time price, and her expertise, energy and all-around down-to-earth personality will bring you back for more services... After my great facial from Julie (and after reading Yelp reviews) I decided to go see her for a Brazilian. She is AWESOME at waxing. Her hard wax is great and she's very attentive and thorough. Julie has done it again. She brought in a new organic line "Pure Fiji" it's absolutely amazing! The scents are incredible. I'm really sensitive to perfumes but these didn't bother me at all, they were so intoxicating I didn't want to shower ever again! I got a full body treatment with a sugar scrub that melted as she massaged it into my body, really neat, never experienced anything like it. Then she finished with a coconut oil scalp and hair treatment that left my scalp and hair so hydrated and shiny. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for over 14 years & I have been getting full Brazilian waxes in multiple states & countries I've lived in since 2006. Jules is by far the best when it comes to type of wax, talking to you to distract you, making sure to stop/absorb some of the pain directly after pulling any wax off, and operates her business out of private COMFORTABLE studio! Julie is awesome! In addition to being a way rad chick, she does exceptional waxing. I've been going to her for ages and she's fantastic. She uses hard or strip wax, whichever you prefer, and gives the least painful yet most effecgive brazilian I've had. I also got one facial from her and it's probably the best one I've ever gotten.
