Not being a regular at Sheetz I thought maybe this was a rewards member price or a cash-only price. Finished the fill and drove off (so I spend an extra $1.10 on a tank, no big deal). Yesterday morning I pull in and what do you know, still 10 cents more. I went inside to inquire and spoke to one of the managers on duty. I asked why the price was different...and no, there is no cash only price. While he did not seem too concerned and confirmed that no other customer raised this concern he did offer to buy me a cup of coffee or refund the difference from last week. I told him not to worry, I just wanted to understand what was going on. I did see him go out and check the sign and the pumps. I passed the store a few hours later and noticed that the street sign price had dropped by 10 cents AND, swinging by the tanks, noticed the price adjusted correctly. I appreciate that the manager took the time to talk to me and to make things right. I can cut a little slack for the oversight as they have new people, but someone was asleep at the wheel...customers and employees. The convenience of the location and the price (for now) are a great perk for our neighborhood.

This truly is a breeze to get in and out, even towing a boat. It's an awesome stop before hitting the lake. You can gas up the boat, stock the cooler, buy your ice and hit the clean gender neutral restroom. Large selection of chilled beverages, highly processed convenient store junk foods (candy, chips, etc.), lottery tickets, fountain drinks, and miscellaneous items. Don't expect anything healthy, locally sourced or low calorie. They do offer a few diet soft drinks. Overall a super convenient convenience store and 76 gas station. Clean, organized, well stocked and friendly cashier--Lettice is doing a great job this Sunday morning.

The staff is nice as well, even late into the night. If the party's gone dry, you need a late night sugar fix, or are just in search of this week's Vogue, Ken's will likely have it. And, more importantly, as safety has recently become an issue in Chapel Hill Ken's might be a wise choice.
