The specials were good, the stock was impressive, and really they were the big game in town. Fast forward a number of years, and the game has changed. They have competition locally, and tents are popping up all over selling similar fireworks. We came out here before the 4th of July drawn in by some specials. The specials were great, as you could get large fireworks for a good price, but they were also quite limited. Signage around the store showing what was BOGO and what was not was almost non-existant. To say the overall experience was a bit frustrating would be accurate. The staff was still helpful, the selection was still decent (but not as much as I remembered), but the overall atmosphere just wasn't conducive to easy shopping. Now that they have competition nearby, it is time to step up the signage and selection. I still enjoy shopping here, but it is not quite the same as it once was.

He even held the door open for me as I left. Even though the St. Augustine location is closer to me, in the future, I'll return to this location and give them my business. Good, friendly people. It is literally advertised to sign up with your email at the cash register to become a member! But, the business doesn't want you to take advantage of this membership and I didn't know this. I tried using a $5 off any purchase discount that was visibly in my account on the app and I was told I used the same discount twice and was blamed for it when it isn't my system and I don't know about computers. How can I redeem a coupon twice, that's not the customers responsibility it's the cashiers all I did was press redeem coupon in the app. It wasn't the same coupon because the last coupon disappeared and a new one showed up. I was blamed for a faulty system and was told I was abusing a loop hole and taking advantage of the business. I can't even make this up! I told the owner that your son called me a scammer and instead of reprimanding him he said," what can I do for you, do you want $10". My response was I don't want a dollar from you I don't want to be called a scammer. I am shocked that these people are this delusional and out right disrespectful in public with an audience of customers the day before 4th of July. To mention also that this was the owner and son that told me all this haha! Please do not shop there they are very confrontational and aggressive people. They don't treat police officers right there and I am one of them. I showed my shield and ID to get a discount which they gave me a 10% discount but that doesn't change any of this or the way we were treated my family and I. If you are a first responder please for the love of God do not give these people your money. Go to Superior Fireworks. They are hands down the best and give a 15% discount and are excellent people and you can also order online. We never had a bad experience with Superior Fireworks because they are professionals.

If you truly want real quality fireworks and not overpriced TNT brand at set up tents that have…read moreplenty of duds but claim they don't, look no further. You need to come to this store. They have plenty of cakes. Cakes are real fireworks that light up in the sky. Never go to Phantom fireworks as they are way over priced and don't have better deals than here. They have buy 2 get one free unlike most places that charge you way too much and claim it's buy 1 get 1 free when it's the price of one. My budget is $400 and I got 9 cakes and 3 Roman candles with 140-190 shots. Got 500 gram cakes mix with 9-36 shots of variety. You gotta know your stuff and if you don't Just go off of Cody from YouTube reviews. He's actually one of the best fireworks guy. Cakes at 300-500 grams are typically $80-$300 a pop. Depending on what type of brand and theme. Raccoon brand for example and Red Apple are one of the best. However, why pay too much when Sky King Fireworks offer more free and just more fireworks for less money? 1. Breaks is slang term for shots. So sometimes getting less shots with big breaks is a winner because the fireworks are very huge and large. Cakes are box that contains bores or pipes and inside the pipes have the fireworks powder. They can range from 50-500 grams. The bigger the grams the bigger the breaks. 2. Zipper cakes range from 30-100 shots or more but they're fast and shoot like you're watching a Space Invaders game 3. If you're getting Roman candles get the 100+ shots as they're similar to cakes and do just as well but don't get that much height. They are always an excellent combo with cakes and mortars. Always get a mixture. 4. Mortars or MOA are best to buy when they are preloaded so you can use the mortars again as they are reusable and great. They're pricey though. The shells or balls you can then buy them separately as they are cheaper than the mortars. They make huge explosions but are typically single shot breaks but some of them make huge multiple breaks. The shells always makes a huge bang splash in the air and get longer airtime than cakes. Some mortar shells do last long but unfortunately, they don't indicate on the package so you have to play with different brands and themes. 5. Finale cakes are truly winners but depends on what themes. They're expensive for a reason. Depending on what type of theme and brand too. These can go from $200-500 a pop but they make huge breaks and long ones.

Perhaps we didn't ask all the right questions or research properly, but we had so many cheap quality fireworks (purchased at top dollar) that provided an overall disappointing experience. This year we went again to SkyKing in Cocoa Beach and the difference is night and day! They always blow me away with their incredible customer service, knowledgeable staff, and mind-blowing deals. Their prices are affordable for high quality fireworks, plus they throw in awesome freebies if you spend a certain amount of money which is easy to do (I forgot how much it was exactly but I only bought about 200 dollars worth of fireworks and that qualified for a freebie). Although we were shopping on a budget, we literally got the best bang for our buck in beautiful, endless displays and numerous colorful shows. I love that we are treated like royalty when shopping here. The employees greet you, walk you around the store and enlighten you on the best deals/fireworks to fit your budget and your needs, and even offer to help when they see you unloading your purchases into your car. Security was looser and friendlier than usual at these festivals, and the seating concept was great. (We all sat in the covered stand along the first base side, which was great when it rained. The stage was set up in the infield, about 60 feet from the stands.) Beer prices were lower than usual and everybody seemed to enjoy that. No real drunkenness problems though. And it was all for a great cause: profits were donated to a pediatric ICU and a project for opioid-addicted mothers and their babies. Only caveat: not enough food choices, and essentially no vendors of non-food items. We'll be back next year. (We also enjoyed our morning walks along the beach at our beach motel.)

So cheesy that it was a melt but all good fun with the giving out of prizes every half inning and some fun nonsense with Shelldon. No seat is a bad seat, well maybe with the exception of baking out in the sun on the 3B side bleachers or if you're lucky enough to get stuck behind one of the posts that supports the roof, and since attendance is always seemingly miserable you can score great seats at the last minute. The food selections are basic (some minor league parks really have expanded and bougified their offerings) but here it's still your basic dogs, burgers, pretzels, chicken fingers, funnel cake fries that make up the back bone of the menu. The good thing is that prices across the board are very reasonable and the surroundings are small/informal enough that the friendliness of the staff really shines through. The Tortugas won and we saw some good pitching from Daytona along with two home runs. Sure there were also a few mental lapses from St. Lucie that equaled two errors but it was still a solid game. Good pricing, super easy to do everything from park, get tickets, find your seat, etc. All in all a great time. Definitely a must do!

Gemini Springs Park is located in DeBary, Florida, 25 miles north of Orlando…read more Since you can no longer swim here due to high concentrations of bacteria in the waters, visitor attendance can be quite low. And since there's alternative parks situated throughout Central Florida that are swimmable, not many people will make the effort to experience Gemini Springs. In fact, I'd categorize this place as a local town park more than anything. It's free to visit and hours are sunrise to sunset. There were no names or signs for the hiking trails, so at times it felt like I was wandering aimlessly. But, the trees decorated with Spanish Moss exuded southern charm and most corners I turned felt like strolling along a nature trail. There's a dual sided passageway that acts as the centerpiece to the park and is also a dam spillway which (I believe) separates the DeBary Creek waters and the Gemini Springs area. I did spot a gator which almost caught a fish right in front of my eyes. I also noticed a soft shell turtle who appeared to be laying her eggs in the sand and some birds doing fishing of their own. Gemini Springs has picnic pavilions, a playground, a dog park, a fishing pier, plenty of grass to play around, and even camping is permitted here. Lastly, I'd like to highlight a section of the park that turns colorfully vibrant when the sun is shining... - Follow the concrete walkway (which you can't miss). - Then...you'll approach a tucked away corner of the springs. This area can be a rewarding moment for admiring the great outdoors. If you just pause and absorb the surroundings, nature's beauty shines through. It's a refreshing reminder that just because a park isn't as accessible as it once was, doesn't mean it should go unnoticed. I believe Gemini Springs Park can be a worthwhile half day visit.
