The prices are great; the selection of fantastic - great for the collector, or the casual browser! We had a great time. Staff is friendly and informative and the store is shiny and brand new! Most of the items are in excellent condition, although there is a plethora of VHS tapes, which I don't think are very marketable. I am sure Betty and Sue will adjust their inventory as they see what is selling and what isn't. Our daughter made a very small donation to help anyone that wanted an item but didn't have enough cash; she's a good kid.

Today the clothes were 50% off and I actually got a really cute shirt for $1. Really friendly staff and the store was organized nicely and smelled good. And they also have a area where you can try on the clothes. Small parking area. The Habitat for humanity is right next door if you want to check that out as well. But they don't have any clothes just items for your house.

My experience with the elderly lady at the cash register was really bad customer service at 11:30…read moream today. She was very rude in complaining that I always offer $20.00 in cash to pay my bill, which is not true, and that I know I am taking all of her small bills. This was the only bill I had to cover my purchase. She also was incredibly rude when she added that my purchases are so little, which again, is not true as they vary but should not matter either way. I think she should work in the back and allow someone more respectful and professional work at the cash register.

Cute little thrift shop off of 17/92 in DeLand…read more They have deals on books, magazines, clothing, religious, holiday, and household items. Items here can range from like-new to quite warn. Yet some of the worn items are vintage. My mom picked out two books for $1.75, crazy cheap. There are kids clothes here for .10 cents each or 20 items for $1, not bad. There were also deals on Christmas items, buy-one-get-one free. There was a selection of old music books here for cheap, which made me happy. For those starting out in a new home or apartment there are plenty of household items, kitchen utensils, and small appliances available for purchase. While onsite we also noticed a small selection of jewelry - necklaces, rings, and earrings. If you are in the area shopping and looking for a deal, I recommend stopping in.

I picked out a brand new unused roasting pan that I actually used to cook my Turkey this Thanksgiving. The lady working the register was very nice and helpful. I will definitely come back again next time I am in in the area.

The one improvement they really need to make is how they check out. The gentleman in front of me had 10 items and it took over 10 minutes to bring him up. The store is huge and jam packed full of good furniture, home decor, collectables, jewelry, and more; so much so that a tall guy like me has a hard time getting around without bumping my head on something hanging from above. There is also a warehouse next door to the main building but it is closed until Thursdays, I guess to minimize the amount of staff working on slower days. Something to note that this store has a fantastic selection of stained glass sheets in a variety of sizes for sale. They also have a stained glass workshop in the back, very cool. Plus the owner makes stained glass wind chimes and other items that are here for sale. Although many of the items here are very nice and an excellent condition, we felt that everything is just too expensive. Even some of the items you consider 'Thrifty' seemed overpriced. Regardless, if you're looking for a unique piece of furniture, lamp, or dining room set they just might have it. I highly recommend checking them out if you have never been here before because they do have a lot of great stuff, but honestly I can't see myself going back here on the regular just because of the pricing.
