So it was it was already feeling a little bit suspect. lol But honestly, the drinks were good and abuse or even better of the North Myrtle Beach Main St. area. Five was the only thumbs down for me. Maybe we came too early, but there was no one there. At least by the time we left a few other folks were trickling in which was a good sign. So other than this mishaps, I think this place could be a good stop her place to hang out. The bartenders were great, the security was doing everything and the drink prices were okay to pricey. Would absolutely not recommend this place. It was practically empty, which should have been a warning sign. We were shocked when we got the bill because the drink prices were much higher than expected, and there was zero transparency about the charges. The whole experience felt sketchy and left a bad taste in our mouths. Now I understand why everyone was across the street at Ducks. We were there before, and the difference was night and day, great atmosphere, fair prices, and friendly service. Save your money and go to Ducks instead. Had a pretty good time here. Nice atmosphere. A great variety of music to keep you on the dance floor. Nice lighting. Drinks were good. Heavy security. Staff constantly walking around making sure the area was cleared of trash. DJ was on point with the music. Had a little bit for everyone. Crowd age is 21+. They really need to do something about the dance floor. Drinks are constantly being spilled which makes the floor very slippery. There are rugs on the floor but that doesn't help where the tile floor is slippery. I saw at least 5 falls throughout the night. They should fix that problem before they have more issues in the future. read more

Really don't understand the overwhelming amount of 1 star reviews. Most seemed to be issues with security. I had no problems with security, they were awesome! I'm a 22 year old female, I could probably pass for high school when it comes to looks. I presented my ID and had it scanned with no issue. They have a metal detector and do a bag search which makes the place feel a lot more safe. Drinks were reasonably priced. Bartender had great conversation. No live music as it was just a Thursday night, but stereo system wad great for the music they did have. This seems to be the only place around that sort of sits into the club scene. It's not the place for the retired community, more for the night life scene people. read more

We get denied because we have a longs address. That's discriminating, that's illegal. The owner clearly needs a reality check because we are in myrtle beach not some ritzy area. (7/28/2024) My friend and I got there pretty early in the night, around 9 I believe. Not super busy, but they were playing music more for millennial/genz people. Not much food was being offered, it looked like they had a small stand for hotdogs, chicken tenders, and a few other items. The only thing that I would complain about is the pricing of drinks. I have been to bars that were cheaper. So it shocked me when they handed me an expensive bill. Overall, not a bad experience. Would go again! read more

This place has all the potential to be amazing...but it's just not. The dj can't mix music at all they might as well just put it on shuffle and even then it would be better than whatever that guys doing. Regardless of that my true issue is the price. Why is the price of shots different from one bartender to the next. My friend and I ordered 2 white tea shots and the first time it was $22. Not 5 minutes later we ordered 2 white tea shots... now it's $31!?! 31? Are you kidding me. And no it was nothing to do with tip because this was the price shown to me on my receipt BEFORE I tipped. Jeffrey the security guy made our vacation so memorable we stayed an additional night. We were about to leave the bar due to the slow vibes and he marched us right back up to the DJ and told him to play my friends favorite song (confessions by usher pt 2) . The bartenders were also very nice and the drinks were made within a minutes time. Drinks are expensive everywhere. If you're going out to have a good time you're going to spend some money folks! Do not even waste your time going to SkyBar. The bouncer is the rudest person I have ever encountered. The group of people I was with did not even make it into the bar. The bouncer gave us such an attitude the second we walked up when we were being very polite. Great location, nice fresh building. There is NO EXCUSE for this place NOT to be a top attraction. We headed in and were greeted by a "NO CONCEALED WEAPONS" sign. (Politics? Really?) Honest law abiding permit holders are NOT welcomed? Why do some businesses feel it's a smart play to tell the trouble makers that the entire place is defenseless? Not a good look in SC.
