He was very concerned that we had not had a good meal. He offered to cook up something else to make us happy. Of course we refused. He comped both of the eggplant dishes! He didn't have to do that but we appreciated it. Although this place was a disappointment, the owner's enthusiasm and commitment to great service and good food will bring us back for another try.

There was a wide range of ages from people in their early 20s enjoying a late meal to people in their 60s playing trivia. Tons of TVs, I enjoyed watching west coast baseball during my visit. Great Haunt in Garden City…read more Quaint and lots of locals. Everyone is so nice and the ambiance is really great. Went in a couple times at night and the music is loud and people are dancing around. There is also a large back area where they have live music. Decent place for a quick bite on the beach. Don't expect steaks, good deep fried bar food is on the menu, which was good! Cold beer, unfortunately poured right into a plastic cup from the bar. Cold cans at the grill area though. Besides "The Bar", this is the best bar in Garden City. Thanks
