Napa City Ghosts & Legends Walking Tour - Ghost hunting meter

Napa City Ghosts & Legends Walking Tour

My husband and I did the Napa City Ghosts & Legends Walking Tour last night as a Christmas gift,…read moreand I absolutely loved it. The tour guides (aka very accomplished paranormal investigators) were engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Napa's history and the paranormal. It was the perfect mix of spooky, fun, and fascinating -- we learned so much about downtown Napa along the way. We can't wait to do their Sonoma tour next and to watch the documentaries the tour leads are part of. Highly recommend!

Attendees become paranormal investigators during the tour, given several tools to track paranormal activity (spiritual dowsing rods, and a ghost hunting meter that measures electric signals (as ghosts give off electric signals). We made about 4-5 different stops that are either haunted or have affiliation with death, and Devin helped the group communicate with ghosts during some of the stops, combining storytelling with interesting historical events in Napa. We had a combination of skeptics and believers in our group, including at least one witch. I, of course, came for the entertainment, getting to talk about serial killers, learn a bit about history, and also get in a few laughs as Devin brings the humor as well. I did learn some new things, such as the difference between a ghost and a spirit, possible origins of the terms "lobbying" and "pulling my leg", and that Cole's Chop House (where my bf and I had dinner earlier that day) was formerly a mortuary. We ended at the courthouse, not where we started the tour, with the story of the last public execution in California which took place here in Napa. Overall, we had a fun time, and it's an unconventional way to tour the streets of Napa, and definitely enjoyable if you like ghost stories.

You come in they scan your ticket and they give you two blue tickets for the haunted house. We had bough the fast pass for this event and so we were suppose to get two fast pass tickets only to realize at the front they gave me general admission. I apologized to the greeter and offered to show my official tickets but she said it was fine. Up until this point I was confused about the tickets. I wasn't sure if this is a haunted house that you can go in many times but it was clear it was a one time deal. That was pretty upsetting. So we basically paid $50 dollars to go into the haunted house once. And it was quite a small haunted house too. They advertised all these vendors and food trucks but there was only 3 vendors there and two food trucks. We did get food from Benitos but it was not that good. Their strawberry lemonade tasted like tap water. I was expecting a lot more overall and i was let down. I was even embarrassed to have recommended a family member stop by. She got there at 5 and there was nothing and then waited in line until 6:30 only to leave at 7 after going through the haunted house. There was nothing more to do at that point.

Find legit food vendors. You had 1 - Mernas and it was good but the others were borderline health code violators or inept at serving the public. 2. Keep your security - they were the only ones nice enough to welcome us and thank us for choosing your event. Ticket/ sales could have extended same courtesy, but didn't. 3. The value of the $30 ticket was lost - as there was simply no one in line - at all - I would have saved $10 and fees just walking up and buying a $20 GA ticket for my son. I am sure timing matters and so does the date selected, but was very disappointed with our online ticket purchase. 4. Display by local Obtaiumworks was cool to see. But the event seemed to be missing some dressing on the salad inside. Lots of empty open space not decorated or themed . Music /sound area could have been dressed with less chintzy decorations and lighting. Employ local artisans to develop the space! 5. Felt sorry for the marketplace vendors - who were kind and hopefully made enough money to pay for their booths. Overall, I left the event feeling let down and wallet stabbed. After reading these other recent reviews, I see why. Seriously, arguing with the disabled? ADA violations are no joke. As a business you could treat families of all different capabilities with better care! Themed nights might be something to think of to get more entertainment through and better food vendors connected and draw a better crowd stream. You're in the perfect location for Sea /nautical theme, radioactive nuclear themes military, fantasy etc. partner with out Vallejo artists resources so many talented folks live and create here! Welcome your guests! Be kind! These reviews mention how rude you all are to people who dropped far more money on the event than me and frankly that's unacceptable. Thank guests when they leave small touches like these mean something to a hard working parent like me choosing to save cash for an event like this ! Shows me you recognize I could have taken that money elsewhere, but I kept it local and with your operation getting there to support you! It matters! Do it! So when asked - the kid appreciated the experience - as a parent in the end, that's all you really hope for.

I love a good spin and flip ride, but when the flips and spins come one right after the other and don't seem to stop, that's when you lose me. I was surprised they didn't have more in between roller coasters, ones that weren't just for 7 year olds or the ultimate thrill seekers. I've been to Great America a ton and was expecting some more options like that. We came at Christmas time and were pleasantly surprised to see how great they decorated the place. It was so festive and fun to see. I loved the gingerbread village and the reindeer roundup. It was a cold rainy weekday when we were here, so the park was pretty empty and we didn't have to wait for anything. In fact, each time a ride ended they offered you to stay on and ride again without even having to move. We waited in line to buy tickets for just that day and luckily the guy at the window told us they were about half the cost if you got them online, which we were able to do on the spot on our phones. Kinda strange that the cost to buy in person is so much more than buying online, but we were very thankful that was shared with us.

We went right at sundown, so we had that extra element of spookiness. You get a map, but it's really easy to lose your sense of direction in there. We relied heavily on other people's explorations of dead ends. The path itself is fairly nicely paved, but it's a bit bumpy, like a row of speed bumps. We made it out in less than an hour.
