Great for some free fun on Christmas and ways to stretch the kiddos feet! Some seem to park vs slow drive through. Lollipop lane isn't quite as lite up.

The Candy Cane and Lollipop Lanes were busy tonight! My kids enjoyed their short stroll around the neighborhood. It is a wonderful place to get inspired with the spirit of Christmas. We really appreciate the Candy Cane & Lollipop Lane community for coming together to bring holiday cheer to everyone. We have seen so much negativity in the past years. This is a much needed trip for families to gain joy and peace as the year ends.

Line of traffic all the way down fruitvale

Took me 25 minutes to get through the traffic in front of my house, people walk around without masks, i overheard a parent telling their child to pee on my fence. I absolutely hate candy cane lane. Hard to enjoy the holiday season when my neighborhood has big city traffic and disrespectful visitors. Candy cane lane continues to make my life hell for a month out of the year. I didnt sign up for this. If only a few other neighborhoods did this so the amount of people on our street would be less.

'Tis the season to be jolly.... "Mom, did you make the hot chocolate?" "Yes, I did!" "What about the popcorn? Did you pop it?" "Of course!" PJ's on, warm blankets in tow, Suburban warmed up... Off we go! It's not a big, Hollywood production. It's not Disneyland. It's our quaint, small town. And I wouldn't have it any other way. For years, this was our family tradition. We looked forward to our annual visit to Candy Cane Lane & Lollipop Alley. Most of the residents on these 2 streets turn their homes into a wonderful Christmas light display. You can park and stroll. Enjoy the people and lights. Or slowly drive and take in the sites. Our tradition is get PJ's on, turn lights down on the truck, sip our hot deliciousness & snack on buttery, salty goodness! After our leisurely drive down these streets, we meander the neighborhoods and enjoy the different displays. Another favorite stop is at 701 Monaghan Wy. 20,000 lights synced to music at 99.1. Definitely worth the drive to Browns Valley. These days, it's just my daughter & I at home. We still enjoy our visit. However, nowadays, we take a trip to Starbucks drive-through and climb into my car. (Still in PJ's!) Off N. Orchard, Arlene Wy. turns into "Candy Cane Lane & Lollipop Alley." To find light displays in your town, you can visit CaliforniaChristmasLites.com. Merry Christmas & Happy 2016 to all!

A must see every Christmas. Definitely puts you in the Christmas mood. Long driving lines but it's worth it.

So fun!!! We go every year. We park away from the residents homes so they can come and go without a problem.

However, there were hardly any cars, so we could do a slow, easy drive. It was still magical with lots of lights throughout this neighborhood. The standout feature was that the streets were lined with continuous strings of white lights that swagged down the participating areas, creating lit paths to follow. It was impressive! There were definitely some houses that went above, while others were more simple, but all delightful to see. Here & there, Christmas trees were in the middle of a court or roundabout. We aren't familiar with the neighborhood & lost track of how we meandered through, so next year we'll try to figure out a good route. We'll definitely plan to come back earlier during the next holiday season to enjoy the full experience.

Rockmont Lights in Natomas is all they say it is and more!…read more My friend, daughter and I wanted to check out Christmas lights last night and decided to check out Rockmont Lights instead of fighting the Fab 40's crowd. It was a first time for all of us and we weren't sure what to expect. We arrived around 7:30pm and it was already pretty busy, but we found some parking on a nearby street. Most of the streets surrounding Java Court were festively decked out and flooded with people - we made our way over to Java Court and I was so surprised to see a massive Christmas tree in the center of the court. There was Santa and The Grinch happily taking photos with families and a couple of fire pits that people were warming up by! They were handing out candy canes to passing cars and I believe they were even selling hot cocoa in front of a few houses! You can drive around the area, but I highly recommend walking it to fully experience the magic that Rockmont Lights has to offer! Make sure you bundle up though! Rockmont Lights definitely gives Dovewood Court and even some streets in the Fab 40's a run for its money! We will be visiting every year now and making it a new tradition!
