He said oh this is why your car was making that noise, it didn't have oil. So the repair he did was unnecessary for the reason I took the car there in the first place. I started crying there out of realizing that he overcharged me for something that had not fixed the problem. He said I needed to fix that other issue anyhow which my car didn't need. He said that my car should be running smoother and it wasn't and when I asked for a refund, he said he can put back the old parts but charge me labor for it. I never received an itemized bill when I requested one. On 4/27, the owner, Salvador who is also the mechanic, sent me text to call him to dicuss my concerns. I was able to respond on May1st. I called him and tried to discuss my concerns, but he kept on talking above me in Spanish. I told him that he scammed me and overcharged me and did not even check my oil on the initial day I had brought my car to his shop. Had he checked my oil, then the rattling problem would have been solved. Mr. Salvador ( I do not know his full real name) became very aggressive and agitated and proceeded to insult me and call me stupid and crazy and told me to go F@#$% myself because I wanted a refund or some sort of resolution. Armando checked it (then showed me how to check it) and then told me my oil was fine. He could have lied. He could have scammed me. But he didn't. Two months later I went back for my oil change. When I was there he didn't find random things that I "had to fix ASAP" like I've experienced with other mechanics, nor did I wait for hours. Instead, I left a half hour later and he let me know that the slight squeaky sound that I was worried about was my fan belt that could eventually be replaced but "no rush". Great place and honest service! Going back soon for another oil change and an informal inspection!

Stanley Auto Repair Corp (new ownership as of late December 2024) is NOT the same shop that used to…read morebe here (MTA with Mark and Juan) I brought in my Dodge Charger for a front end replacement and shifter repair. After a week, I got the car back but now the shifter could move freely without the key in the ignition or my foot on the brake. That's a safety issue. On top of that, they returned my car with new scratches on the trunk and rear passenger side. When I brought the shifter issue back to them, I was met with attitude: "Oh, you don't like it? You want it back the way it was?" No, I want it to work correctly. Getting answers required my husband to call multiple times and eventually show up in person. Only then did the owner reveal that a used part had been installed from a Chrysler 300 without my knowledge or consent. The Charger and 300 share a platform but are not identical. The car was finally fixed after three weeks, but not without my $200+ Mopar shifter getting scuffed in the process. Tldr: Three weeks, little communication, a used cross-vehicle part installed without consent, damage to my car, and a dismissive owner.
