Waited over 20 minutes on the phone to schedule an appointment for my Father was put on hold. Never even came back on the phone.

AVOID. They buy up existing practices and replace the doctors with mostly nurse practitioners. They are NOT a serious practice. They took over my dermatologist (Dr. Berti) Willowbrook office. I called politely requesting a nurse from the office call me about a possible procedure. Scheduling is a central location, not the office. After 10 min of ridiculous back and forth about what procedure and what I needed I was told "Deb" would call me- a receptionist at the Willowbrook office that was "taking care of Dr. Berti's patients." A receptionist cannot answer my question about whether a cosmetic procedure is possible- I said (in a normal tone of voice) that they are about to lose a patient- Me- and this person's supervisor got on the line and said if I continued to talk to her trainee this way she would end the call. Happy with diagnosis and treatment. Wait time was minimal , procedure was almost pain fee and insurance was all settled quickly.

They require a debit or credit card to be attached to your file for payments over anything your insurance doesn't pay without future consent and the person was angry because I choose to cancel my appointment because of that policy. read more

I went to the Evergreen Park office because I didn't know it existed and it was closer to my home after having gone to the Orland Park office previously. I left work early to make the latest appointment available. Upon signing in and giving the usual ID and insurance card, I was told that I needed my credit card. I alerted the clerk that when making the appointment no one informed me of this. She apologized. I told her that I do have one but that it was at home and not present with me. She then asked if I could call someone to get the numbers. No one was at home. I then thought that I had a credit card on file at the Orland Park office. She said that those cards had been purged from the system so I could not use it. I asked if I could use a post-dated check. She called someone and then told me it could not be postdated and that it would be for $200 for "incidentals." This amount would be cashed immediately and if not used, the $200 would be returned at the end of the year! I told her that I had valid insurance and for what I was being seen for would not require credit cards and extra payments. I even asked if I could speak to the dermatologist regarding what I would be seen for and payment. She said I could not as he had nothing to do with it. This was a billing issue. I asked if there were anything else I could do. She told me unfortunately no. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and inconvenienced. I rescheduled the appointment back in Orland. She reminded me to take my credit card. When I went back to Orland, NO ONE asked me for my credit card. What type of silly games is this place playing?! Even though I was rescheduled, do not anticipate being seen at your appointment time, pack a lunch, it will be a while for a very brief visit. I strongly suggest you go elsewhere as I plan to. read more

Dr. Nick removed a growth from my daughters leg, 2 weeks ago, he stitched up a large hole with what I was told were "dissolvable" stitches and we went home. No follow up visit was made, since the stitches would dissolve themselves. NOT THE CASE. I called Dr. Nick's office on Monday bc I feared her wound was infected. I was told, Dr. Nick would call me back. No one called me back. I called a second time, the same day and was told my daughter could see Dr. Nick the following day. STILL, no word from Dr. Nick. Since I was unable to speak with the doctor, I took my daughter elsewhere to be checked. Her wound was indeed infected and to my surprise, SHE STILL HAD STITCHES IN HER LEG! I deemed that impossible because Dr. Nick assured me, more than once, that the stitches were dissolvable. They were not dissolvable, they had to be removed and her infection is being treated with an aggressive antibiotic, 4 times a day and she is left with an OPEN WOUND IN HER LEG that looks the same as it did the day he removed the growth. We decided not to see Dr. Nick as planned, since we had already seen another doctor. It has been 3 days since I reported this incident to the offices of Evergreen Park, Skin MD and not once have they reached out to see if my daughter, their patient, was ok. Obviously, my daughters well-being is not worthy of a phone call, don't waste your time with SKIN MD. read more

Dr. Nick Borchers is the best Dr. I have ever had. He found out what a doctor couldn't figure out in years. He's improved my skin condition by leaps and bounds. He takes his time w u and explains everything. He's also very comfortable to be around.His staff Ashley was helpful in suggesting something I needed. I highly recommend him. They even take my later hours after work.....Thank you Dr.,you have changed my life for the better. read more

The check in process is completely ridiculous. My son and I were new clients and it took 33 minutes to check the both of us in. I showed up at 9:45 for my 10:00 appointment thinking that it would be more than enough time. Not even close. At 10:18 I was finally done checking in even though I gave all of this information over the phone. The check in has to be done at the front desk by one of the two clerks and other people coming out had to wait to make new appointments. I was finally on the list to get called after we were both completely checked in. This is seriously a flaw by corporate and not the clerks behind the desk. Every other type of doctor's office either hands you a clipboard or an iPad to check your information so that the clerks can be answering the phones or scheduling new appointments. The doctors were amazing when I finally got to see one 45 minutes later than my appointment time. If you're on a tight schedule this is not the place for you. read more
