It has been a complete NIGHTMARE!!…read more I just turned 42 years old, and it seemed like I had been defeated by this medical anomaly and reminded of it daily--Gynecomastia. As I sat back in my office three days after my birthday, I decided that was it; it was time to put an end to the frustration, the self-consciousness and barrier to a better quality of life. I had done the hard work, 4am workouts, plant-based diet, no booze or smoke; all it did was make the problem more pronounced. On that Monday I continued previous research for the surgeon that would best fit me. I found two: one of them Dr. Vitenas; the other, well that doesn't matter now. In inquired online. That morning, I got a call from the heavens, it seems; it was Javier. After telling him my story, he empathized and asked for some photos so that he could consult with Dr. Vitenas. I did and he did, because he asked me to come in that afternoon for a consultation with Dr. Vitenas. I had vacation planned and that fell through so the timing was perfect; as if the seas had opened up-- but it gets better. I arrive at the state-of-the-art facility which houses Dr. Vitenas operating room (OR) (let me tell you that OR is top notch!). The details matter, especially with any medical procedure where sharp objects are involved. The details are evident as I was greeted (first my Melanie on the 1st fl. Beauty Boutique) by Gary, who knew who I was and what I was there for. I finally met Javier in person and he seemed just as excited for me as I was to potentially get this procedure done. He informed me that some magic might have been a brewing because a cancellation had just come in. I met with Dr. Vitenas and without words, he seemed to already know the struggle I was living with and how he could help make this a turning point in my life. I was all-in. I discussed details with Javier and he revealed the opportunity of a lifetime; I could have the surgery the next day if I decided to proceed. And you bet I did. Next came the nurse consult with pre and post-op instructions. I met with Courtney who was also excited for me. She appeared youthful, but you could tell she could do this in her sleep, so the trust carried through to the staff I met that day. This is crucial because I must believe that I will be able to get back to work in a timely manner-- no work no pay in my profession. Fast forward-- I followed the instructions, got the surgery and I was back at work 2 days later and full tilt at the gym 3 weeks after. I left the tape on for that long and wore compression all day and night, I rested, ate well and I could not be more satisfied with the results. Dr. V is a pro. He cares about his product, and he most certainly delivers. If you're looking for surgeon who treats your results as a reflection of his work and passion, Dr Vitenas is your guy.

Dr Vitenas is garbage- a bad surgeon and a worse person. He not only screwed up my surgery (twice)…read morebut had the audacity to gaslight me and pretend the issues I saw with my results were just in my head - despite his office staff acknowledging and agreeing the problems existed prior to him literally to him telling him they don't know what they're talking about. TBH, I new my body looked bad, but I had no idea how bad until I saw my before and after pictures. After meeting with the doctor the first time , I new he would be the one doing my procedure. I felt very comfortable with him, he made some suggestions for the procedure and it was like he was reading my mind. I had a mommy makeover 5/9/19. Doctor Steely called us that night of my surgery to make sure I was doing fine, he made it clear several times that he was only a phone call away, if we had any questions. When we called him, he answered right away. I am 2 months PO and I couldn't be happier. I am so thankful for my wonderful doctor, he over exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Steely. Lastly, a week after surgery I finally weighed myself and I went from 157lbs to 146 lbs. I love my new boobs, bellybutton and waist. THANK YOU DR. STEELY!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU AND THOSE HANDS, SO YOU CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE HAPPY.

They did a medical history and told me I was a good candidate. Told me I had to pay 10 percent of my total to secure my surgery date. When it was later determined that I was not a good candidate for the surgery, MIA refused to give me back the $772 I paid down. Told me that was their charge for reviewing my paperwork. A complete scam. My invoice said nothing about a paperwork review fee. Read all of the fine print. I would not recommend this place. They…read morewere thorough, kind, and truly helped me prepare mentally, emotionally, and logistically for surgery. That level of support made a big difference. Unfortunately, my experience at the surgical facility itself was very disappointing. From pre-op to post-op, everything felt rushed. The pre-op nurse's demeanor made me feel like I was just another number on a checklist, which is especially difficult considering this surgery is not only a major financial investment, but a deeply emotional decision that takes months or years to make. While my surgeon (Dr. Sarcia) was great immediately before surgery--clearly explaining and marking what he planned to do--the post-op care and bedside manner of the nursing staff fell short. The recovery nurse was rude, and when I asked for help explaining drain care to my husband, I was told to "read the paperwork." That same response was given to my husband while loading me into the car, when we were both overwhelmed and confused. I also never received items I paid for, including foam boards and a level two faja/compression garment. I would like a refund for these, as they were never provided. An hour before surgery, I asked staff about lymphatic massage after reading about it in the paperwork. No one followed up, explained it, or sent information. I drove over four hours and stayed locally as instructed--had I known lymphatic massage was important immediately after surgery, I would have scheduled it. Pain management was another concern. The muscle relaxers and medications provided were not sufficient, and Tylenol alone did not control my pain while drains were in. I felt under-medicated during a very painful recovery period. Even follow-up appointments felt rushed. At my post-op visit, the surgeon spent less than a minute examining my incision. The nurse removed my tape, told us no supplies were needed, and sent us home--only for me to later learn I should have been re-taped and given wound care supplies. Overall, this experience felt like speed and volume were prioritized over patient care. I don't regret my decision to have surgery, but the level of care did not match my expectations or the cost. With more compassion, education, and attention to detail, this facility could greatly improve the patient experience.

Strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Steely for your plastic surgery needs. I was referred to Dr. Steely…read moreby several friends who had used his services in the past and were pleased with their outcomes. My initial consultation was positive, and I decided to move forward. In April of 2024 I underwent surgery to remove excess skin from my arms and legs following weight loss. Although the procedure took longer than expected, I was discharged later the same day. In the days following surgery, I noticed the drain in my left leg was not functioning properly and reported this at my follow-up appointment. Dr. Steely assured me this was normal and scheduled a second follow-up for drain removal. During this visit, I informed him that the incision had opened and was draining down my leg. He removed the drains and later explained that a small piece of the drain (indicating about 1.5") had broken off and remained in my leg but insisted it was not of concern. This was witnessed by a friend who had driven me to the appointment. In reality, the drain piece was listed as a "19.5 x 0.4 cm segment of clear flexible plastic tubing" (more than 7.6 inches) in the pathology report after it was surgically removed from my leg following a severe infection I developed. Four days later, my leg incisions became red, swollen, and emitted a bad odor. Despite reporting these symptoms, I was advised that this was expected and instructed to keep the area clean. At no point was I offered intervention other than to put me on the same antibiotics that I had just finished, such as imaging or timely surgical management. At my next appointment, Dr. Steely referred me to Wound Care for follow-up as he was leaving on vacation. The Wound Care physician immediately admitted me to the hospital with a severe bilateral leg infection. I required extensive antibiotics, major surgery to remove the infection and broken drain, a week-long hospitalization for sepsis, 8 rounds of antibiotics, and months of outpatient treatment. I incurred substantial medical expenses and lasting physical damage - significant scarring, nerve damage, weakness, etc. In my opinion, Dr. Steely dismissed my concerns and expressed no meaningful sympathy for my experience. . If you are seeking a qualified plastic surgeon, I recommend conducting thorough research beyond reading online reviews or relying solely on personal referrals. It is important to verify the surgeon's credentials and inquire about their experience with the specific procedure you are considering. In my case, I experienced significant complications following surgery, which I believe resulted from inadequate attention to my concerns and insufficient post-operative care. Based on this experience, I would advise prospective patients to prioritize their safety by asking detailed questions and ensuring their chosen provider demonstrates a commitment to patient well-being. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Steely's services.

I realize that I have been somewhat selfish and not given my surgeon with Fusi and Craig Plastic…read moreSurgery credit. I was blessed with having Dr. Craig and her wonderful assistant Ruth guide me through it. If anyone in your life has had to go through breast cancer and needs reconstruction, or they're unhappy with what the original plastic surgeon did for them, whether it's your coworker, your neighbor, your mother, your sister, your wife, if they don't like the answers that their initial plastic surgeon gave them. I would encourage them to get a second opinion or third. There are a lot of plastic surgeons that do breast reconstruction, but they are limited in their abilities. And they won't tell you that you have multiple other options to rebuild your breast and look like you again. That was my experience. I was initially told that while I could have reconstruction that my breast would not look aesthetically pleasing, but he would do the best he could. I left that office very disappointed and heartbroken. And I was due to start chemotherapy in about a week. Knowing I was going to have to put myself through the hell of cancer treatment, I kind of thought I deserved to look like a woman again afterwards, so I was a depressed upon hearing the doctors words. Luckily I was involved in an online Facebook group that had mentioned several other surgeries that I had no idea existed. So I googled those surgeries and this particular surgeon came up in my search. So I made an appointment to meet her and not only has she been my surgeon but she has been my ally through the initial treatment as well. I did not feel I had unreasonable expectations like the first doctor kind of insinuated. And Dr. Craig so far has gone above and beyond what I thought could ever be done. She is a surgeon but she is also an artist. After the scars have healed, I will have no qualms posting pictures If people want to see the wonderful work she does. If anyone wants to see a picture to at least have some glimmer of hope that they can return to normalcy I have no issues sending them either. This woman has done impeccable work. She is always available to her patients. I can call her office and get answers or I can write her an email explaining my questions or my fears and she has this unique ability to answer them in an honest but also a very quieting way. It's like if your dad tells you everything is going to be OK then you know it will be. That's how I feel about her. There are a lot of people that are under the impression that you just get implants and that's the reconstruction. But not everyone is eligible for that type of surgery immediately. Some women after undergoing chemo have to go through months of radiation which means they can't do implants at that time. Some women are eligible to get implants but aren't aware they're going to need radiation at a later date. So they will need a revision on their plastic surgery that they had done because radiation has a tendency to alter the appearance of your breast. She can help you in either area. I also want to make this very clear that she does not just do reconstruction. She is very specialized in that area which is a huge bonus for people looking for different options in the Houston/Woodlands area. But she also does plastic surgery for people that don't need reconstruction. So to me if she can blow through the obstacles that chemo treatment and radiation have done to the skin and make your breasts look perfect, and if you don't actually need reconstruction, I cannot even imagine what she can do for you if you want an augmentation or a tummy tuck or something to look more youthful and restore your confidence. So saying all this, if anyone in interested in an incredibly gifted surgeon, Dr Craig is hands down, a beautiful person that has been gifted the ability to recreate you. When I saw what my breast looked like after my surgery, I immediately wrote her an email. Because it was perfect and I didn't even think that was possible

I meant to write this review months ago, but better late than never…read more I was referred to this office by my (very trusted esthetician) for Co2 laser treatment for my surgical scars. I spoke via email and phone with Dr. Hamilton's mother who apparently helps run the office. I was quoted a price for treatment, which I confirmed with her several times before booking. Dr. Hamilton herself confirmed this price at my in-person consultation. When I went in for my first treatment, they tried to charge me DOUBLE what I had been quoted by Mrs. Hamilton. We went back and forth, with them basically telling me that I was wrong, that I misunderstood, that I apparently don't know how to speak or understand English. It was insulting and ridiculous. (I'm an attorney btw, so a VERY attentive listener and extremely careful with my own communications). Finally, after a few days of back and forth, Mrs. Hamilton reached out to me personally and apologized- confirming that the price I was quoted was correct, and that they would honor that price going forward. I had, I believe, 3 or 4 treatments for my four surgical areas @ $1000 per visit. One of these visits, the girl working the front desk had an impossible time comprehending the amount that I was supposed to pay, after taking account of the deposit I had already made. She was nice enough, but I tried to explain repeatedly why the amount she was giving me was wrong. I eventually had to take a pen and literally WRITE DOWN the math in front of to try to explain how it worked. Finally, one of the other workers had to take over, because she understood what I was saying. I ended up needing a revision on all four of my surgical areas, and before I went in for surgery, I called Dr. Hamilton's office to let them know that I was going to postpone my next session for after my revision surgery. At that time, I SPECIFICALLY if they were going to honor the price that I had been paying all along, and was ASSURED that yes, that they would honor that price when I was ready to resume my treatments. Lo and behold, when I got in touch a couple months later to schedule my next session, I was asked to hold, and when the receptionist got back on, she informed me that the price would be double what I had been paying before. I said, "But I confirmed before my surgery that your office would honor the price I was quoted before." She just, "Well the price changed." I was livid. The latest research shows that earlier laser treatment after surgery yields better results, and I had been relying on their promise to honor their quoted price, only to be left in a position of having to frantically call around to find another provider so as to not miss the crucial window for treatment. I should also say here that a NO point in time was I ever given any post-treatment instructions nor any information on what to expect in terms of outcome. There were no before/after photos taken. Nobody seemed interested in having a conversation with me about expectations/results. After having laser treatments at other offices since then, I realize that this is HIGHLY unusual, and not the norm at all. In summary, I had minimal (if any) improvement of my scars for my 3-4K investment. So even if all of the other SUPREMELY unprofessional stuff had not happened, I would still be very disappointed in this experience. My whole Pilates class has heard the entire story and all of the updates, as has my surgeon. My esthetician who referred me in the first place said that she's heard similar things from other people recently, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated thing. Listen- I think that Dr. Hamilton seems like a nice person, as does her mother, but the whole experience was beyond irritating, and I could never in good conscience recommend this office to anyone.
