Gail: "Miramar is now refocused on trips for members and potential members only. As you attended trips across many years without ever being interested in membership we cannot accommodate you at Miramar. I know there are many other ski clubs in the northeast and perhaps you can find a good fit with one of them." me: "but i was interested in membership. until one evening, when i was watching TV alone, a member directed me to turn it off, saying Miramar forbids watching TV unless it's a sports-oriented program."

Because I had a big investment in my Southampton place, I did not do the volunteer summer weekends. But now, after a year selling that property (owned it for more than four decades) and of getting wonderfully settled in to New York City (which I love!), I want to do some summer weekends of painting or scrubbing or doing whatever helps the club lodge stay as great as it is, now that the dining room accoustics have been fixed. Only problem: With sale of Southampton, also donated my car. So, please call or email me to share costs and driving on a next summer weekend, so we can do some work on our lodge.

The Lodge is rustic with basic sleeping accommodations and common areas that are part of a true mountain adventure. Nice fireplace, great room for dining and mixing it up with other guests and members. Plenty of comfortable seating around the fireplace and a nook for reading or relaxing. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. I was treated to a group dining experience that I was not expecting by other gusts who welcomed me with open arms. What is not to like. The members and regular guests are a great source of information and provided lots of inside information about the town and surrounding mountains. Did I mention that the lodge is close to Sugarbush Resort, and Mad River? it is also close to several other key destinations in Northern Vermont. Hiking, Downhill and Cross Country skiing, and year round outdoors activities abound. Overall a great experience and better than staying at the premium priced hotels in the area. Can't wait to get back.

It's wild walking into the American Dream mall and suddenly stepping into a real indoor snow park with actual snow, lifts, and multiple slopes. Perfect for scratching that ski/snowboard itch when it's 90 degrees outside or just getting some practice in during the off-season. The snow felt legit (cold and grippy), the terrain park features were fun and progressive for all levels, and the staff was helpful with rentals and getting everyone set up. We did a couple of hours and it was plenty of time to get solid runs in, work on technique, and hit some jumps and rails without the usual outdoor crowds or icy conditions. Great for beginners and families. There is also snow tubing which was really fun! If you wanna practice skiing or snowboarding but are still a bit iffy on going on an actual mountain, this can be a great option for you to get started.

It was my first time skiing or snowboarding but I was fortunate to have a friend with me that can teach me how to snowboard. I think at base price the day pass only provides 2 hours on the slopes which is not a lot of time, I don't think I would pay full price out of pocket. There was a Groupon offer at the time that significantly reduced the price of my visit and at the price point I would encourage going. While there isn't anyone there to actively teach you how to ski or snowboard, the fake snow is quite soft making it a good place to learn. However the slopes aren't too steep and it's hard to gain speed so if you are someone experienced not sure if I would recommend this visit. Staff is incredibly nice at helping you fit into your snowboard or ski or grab rentals with the all inclusive day pass. The lines can get long so I would say in a 2 hour period we were able to get on the lift about 7-8 times. But I had a fine time during my visit here. I think it's a great place to start your ski and snowboard journey, fall at ton but safely on soft snow to break the initial fear of trying something new. However would probably not come again.

The food was warm and simple (pasta, meatballs, veggies and salad) along with some delicious apple crumble for dessert! The Cidery was also amazing because we were able to also shop around within the market to bring home - bought some local honey which I love! Cost: Great deal for a roundtrip bus + 2 hour tubing + dinner + a beer/cider! Everything is taken cared of and so it makes the experience much more enjoyable. Environment: Specifically Campgaw Mountain, although it was fun, the tubing here can be very busy. At certain times the waiting time was pretty long just to down down once. However, towards the end the line does get shorter/moves quicker. Service: Overall great package deal with everything included! Uniqueness: Sometimes its great to get out of the city and enjoy things like tubing - Sourced Adventures gives you that opportunity!
