You'll definitely have a great experience here if you like to have fun, you're social, and can laugh at yourself should you fall. Price: The price definitely depends on when you come. We came Friday night (didn't know it was college night), and paid $10/ea for entry and rental skates. Rental skates: These things get beat up, so don't expect them to complete your outfit. I think even Cinderella had better shoe wear as a chamber maid. Luckily, the kid who was passing them out understood that and let us swap them out a couple of times :) Skating: There are reeeeally good skaters here. However, even though they are, they're still really humble; they'll teach you if you want to be taught, too. Music: The music was kind of "trappy" in the beginning, but later in the night, the DJ started playing songs like "Roll Bounce" and "Set It Off". I still give the music 5/5! Would I recommend? Yup! Pros: You can ice skate in Montgomery, Alabama…read more Cons: This is the only place to ice skate in Montgomery. Because it's the only place to skate, the people who run it don't take care of it. (Why should they? It's not like they're losing business to some competition). The ice is never cut, and is in horrible shape. If you bring your own skates, not only will the chewed up ice dull your blades, but they charge you the same as those renting skates. When I asked the gentleman how often they run the Zamboni, he told me it's usually used either late at night or in the morning. When I complained about the condition of the ice, he told me that's what I get for wanting to skate inside a mall. This brings me back to my first point... IT'S THE ONLY PLACE TO ICE SKATE IN MONTGOMERY!!! Fortunately for me, I'm only here for a year, but for those who live here permanently, Montgomery, Alabama doesn't have a decent place to ice skate.

We came in at 8:45 because their hours were listed with them open until 11:00pm. We paid $24 a person only to find out an hour into our session they were closing at 9:50 pm. When we mentioned this to a manager she smiled and laughed at us and told us the website we referenced wasn't the right one (and she was unwilling to even look at it to check). That would have been fine but when we politely mentioned that it would be good practice to let customers know there's only an hour left if they're dropping almost $50 dollars she was rude and laughed at us again. If we had known we would only have an hour we would have come a different day but she just laughed again and said 'they're not going to do that.' This is horrible customer service and a horrible practice for any business that actually wants repeat customers. Aside from that the skating rink is nice but small. We had to swap skates several times to get skates that were somewhat in alignment. Lockers are $3 but you have to have a staff member open them. This was my second time here and the place was trashed which isn't completely the rinks fault but they could definitely work on this. The playlist both times I visited was awful so bring your own music and headphones or just go somewhere else. I personally won't be returning. Businesses that take advantage and treat their customers like this don't deserve to stay in business.

Ample parking, and on a Chilly Friday night it wasn't too crowded. They had quality skates to rent, and were more than happy to exchange sizes a few times to get the right fit. The ice was nice, and even better after the zambonie had its turn. The folks working were wonderful, and very helpful. The price was the same for adults and kids at $12 each. About the same as a movie I suppose. They had little fires and chairs for those not skating, as well as heat lamps, and a walled tent to be extra toasty for special needs/diaper changes or just a place to sit at a table. Their concession stand was fine, but I didn't buy anything. I'm too cheap to pay $3.75 for a hot cocoa, though it did look yummy with a heaping pile of whipped cream. The background music was 70's, and I rather surprised myself on how many lyrics I actually knew. We shall return next year! What a treat!

This place opens at 2:00 PM on Sundays so I decided to drop by at 2:00 PM to beat the crowd. Y'all...there were quite a few folks there. I was surprised to see so many people. Parking was easy. My admission was a bit lower because I had my own skates. It was $10 per person for my husband and kids. There were 3 birthday parties so that might be why there were that many people there on a Sunday. The inside looks like the skating rinks I went to as a kid, which was fine with me. My main goal was to skate so I could break in my new roller skates. I was pleasantly surprised by the music selection. It was a good mix of old and new school music. It was very family friendly. I didn't try any of their food or visit the restrooms so I can't speak on how those things. There were a lot of kids here. I'm going to have to check to see if they have an adult skate night because I did have to watch out for the little ones, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, I had a good time and I'll probably be back soon.
