Looks a dump, but it's not. Inexpensive for a Saturday night. Room was quite clean. Would probably stay again when on budget.

We couldn't find lodging closer to the North Cascades NP entrance and were pretty bummed we'd be driving an hour each day to get there for hikes that already required us to be up at like 6am... but I'm telling you... it's worth it. This hotel was so clean and comfortable. I felt like we should've been paying more for how big the room was, how well-equipped (full size fridge, awesome when you are roadtripping with a cooler filled with food), a kitchenette, laundry facilities on-site, comfy beds, awesome continental breakfast in the morning, and honestly, just intentional thoughtful touches all around the whole hotel that kept making me comment to my husband, "this is SO nice." I should mention, we didn't interact with staff much because we were at the park all day... but staff who are in charge of getting breakfast out in the morning are hustling! We really appreciated that they had everything out at 7am sharp since there were a few times we were able to grab food before leaving for the NP. Thank you! We hiked 14 miles yesterday and would've been eating granola at the trailhead but got a hot delicious breakfast thanks to you!

We decided to turn our tulip festival visit into a long weekend because we didn't want to cram all…read morethe sights into one day and deal with a long drive/traffic. Spreading it out gave us time to enjoy the festival and everything around it at a relaxed pace. My husband has a preference for Marriott and, our only option was the Fairfield Inn & Suites Burlington just a few exits past the main tulip action and best of all, super dog-friendly. We brought both our pups and they were welcomed with open arms and lots of treats at the front desk :) Admittedly I was a bit nervous. Some reviews mentioned the hotel's proximity to the freeway, and I wasn't excited about potential traffic noise. But this property has clearly had a recent facelift it's clean, refreshed, and modern. Even though we were on the first floor near the freeway, we didn't hear a thing. Total win! We had called ahead with a few questions and were told the elevators were temporarily out of service, so we were relieved to be placed on the ground floor. It ended up being perfect for quick dog walks/bathroom breaks, and easy access plus there's a cute little gazebo area for some outdoor relaxing. Though it's a limited-service hotel, it definitely overdelivers with a surprisingly well-equipped fitness center, a large clean indoor pool, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast isn't fancy, but it's free, fresh, quick, and a solid way to start the day. And here's a fun bonus: Bob's Burgers & Brew right next door offers room service-style delivery. Yes, you can get a juicy burger, and fries brought right to your room. yay! The staff was warm, helpful, and handled the busy weekend crowd like pros. This hotel ended up being a perfect base for our tulip adventures clean, quiet, convenient, and dog-approved. Would absolutely stay here again for another flower-filled escape!

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a few days due to work and for leisure (to visit the tulip…read morefestival). This is definitely not the best but it was a place to anchor back from the events we attended. There were plenty of free guest parking. Bob's Burger and Jack in the Box were literally a minute walk from the hotel which was great for our first night checking in. This eliminated an extra drive to another location which can be difficult with two excited and hungry toddlers in tow. Speaking of food, this hotel provides "free" breakfast with your stay. Selections were good with your normal breakfast selections of hot foods (oatmeal, eggs, sausages, potatoes, sausage gravy) and cold foods (cereal, yogurt, to-go breakfast muffins, bananas and a selection of bagels). This location also had a waffle maker. Weekday hours for breakfast are from 6am to 9am and weekends from 7am to 9am. As for the rooms, they were ok. The room came with a mini fridge and a mini microwave and other normal amenities. I do love that the windows can open. Lovely to get fresh air in and I loved hearing the frogs croaking at night and cars passing from the freeway. Our room also had a good view of the train tracks from the distance so it was exciting for my little boy to see the trains pass by when they came. During our first night, we requested through the Bonvoy app for additional pillows and sheets as the housekeeping line rang but no one was available to respond. The front desk called our room after an hour to confirm our request but did not get the items several hours after our request so just be mindful of that if you really need something from housekeeping.

Looking for a place to stay as my husband, our little girl dog and I are traveling from Tumwater,…read moreWa to Vancouver, Canada, this seemed like a good stop for us as my husband didn't want to make the full drive and I really dislike arriving at a hotel at 10 pm or later. So I found this Candlewood Suites Burlington on my hotels.com app and decided to book a night to stay here. This hotel was surprisingly very affordable for a Saturday evening with only being $129 (prior to tax) and offers quite a spacious room with a king size bed. The pet fee was only $20 and we were very happy to have found out that they offer complementary dryer and washer for use (you just have to use your own detergent and dryer sheets). This was very helpful, as we ended up doing a load in the washer and then divided our load into 2 dryers (since no one was using them and it is faster to dry jeans this way from your other clothes). There are 3 washers to use and 4 dryers available. We checked in around 6:15 pm by a friendly employee. She gave us our keys and then we unloaded our car (they have luggage dollies at the front) and headed to our room, which was on the first floor. We had a kitchen and a full size fridge and microwave in our room, a fairly good size bathroom with plenty of counter space (I always dislike when bathrooms have so little counter space), Dove brand bath products, Dove soap bar, TV and desk that I was able to set up my laptop. The WiFi was fast and very happy that it never dropped while I was taking a test to earn a certification in my profession (I only had one attempt and so I was little nervous wondering if I would get dropped but I never did. Oh and I did pass for anyone that is wondering). Although there is no breakfast provided, you do have a kitchen in your room that you can use, which we did. So that wasn't a problem for us. Now one thing I do want to mention is that the walls between rooms are thin, as I heard neighbors around us. Also there is a train that seems to run at all hours of the day and evening, as I heard them throughout the evening. I am a pretty light sleeper so I didn't sleep that well but my husband (who is a heaver sleeper) was just fine. I have stayed at a bed and breakfast in Texas where there was a train nearby and that train was incredibly loud. This train wasn't nearly as loud but do want to mention this for those that may find this to be a problem. Because of the train and the thin walls, I am a bit indifferent and not sure if I would stay here again. But to us, there does seem to be more pros than cons. Overall, I would still rate this hotel 4 stars.

The room was moderately comfortable and we appreciated having a laundry facility. On the downside, there were two washing machines but one wasn't working. We wish the little convenient shop near the lobby was better stocked with some fresh food items. The pet area is not well monitored and several guests did not pick up after their pet. Lastly the parking spots are too narrow.

So yes, the hotel needs to be renovated for sure. The floors are dirty and the towels and pillows…read morehave stains from the many uses they've been through before. My room had a door to get out to the patio area, however, that door lock would not lock at all. I had a difficult time and ended up putting some chairs behind it because I was paranoid that someone could get in lol. I was staying solo as well. The front desk people were SUPER nice though. I mailed in a box with some bear spray and they were very accommodating in accepting and holding the package for me until I arrived. Even though the place was outdated, I would stay here again because it logistically made sense for me for my North Cascades destination.

I give this place no stars. We were very disappointed. Yes we understand that it is an older hotel…read moreso it was bound to have a few things wrong. Our experience was a little different than what we've experienced in the past and other hotels. For one the door to our room did not close and it was an outside door. So we haven't even pull it to even get it to close push it from the inside. When we left to go meet up with family we close the door completely. When we came back later that night our door was open we were pretty scared that someone had been in our room. When I went to the front office and asked them about it she said that she had been there all day and she didn't see anybody doing it out of our room and that the maids had not been there either. Well needless to say we were pretty scared. So we made sure our door was really locked and closed when we went back in there nothing was missing thing God. But we did notice that the maids or somebody had been in there. Because they left us fresh coffee and new towels and new toilet paper. So when they left our room they did not close our door all the way. And not to mention they lied to us. That was wrong would have been different if they would have apologized and taken responsibility for it. Instead it's like oh the building is old so sometimes that happens. Our second complaint is that the bed was awful they need new mattresses because the one that we had in our room was very lumpy. My third complaint was the fact that we had to fix the toilet usually every time we went to the bathroom. We had to take off the back of it and then fix it to where it would fill up so we can at least flush the toilet. This place is very unkept we did not pay a low price some people would say oh well you got what you paid for. But actually we did not pay a very low price it was not that much different than one of the other higher hotels only about $60 more. We just thought it would be better because it didn't have all the other fees attached making it even more expensive. We do not recommend that you stay there if you are wanting to get a restful sleep. And have peace of mind that you're safe. We should have asked for our money back.

Pleasantly surprised with my visit here with my husband the past weekend…read more We made this our staycation spot for our wedding anniversary. We also attended the casino a lot so here's my breakdown of the experience we had with all amenities... Room/Hotel & Staff: 4 out of 5 Stars. PROS - Literally every single person I came across was so genuinely nice and helpful. The hotel itself is way nicer in person than online. They need to take new pictures maybe. The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean. Loved that there was SO many towels and a nice little coffee machine. Overall very nice and cozy. CONS: We did love the big tub right in the room but was a little sad there's no actual jets in the tub. They call it a jacuzzi on their description so with that I assumed jets in the tub. The bed wasn't great, I didn't sleep very well and felt my hips hurt a little in the morning. Blankets felt very thin and cheap as well, I think I'd just bring my own blanket next time. No biggie. Casino: 4.0 out of 5 Stars. PROS: lots of great slot options, all the machines seemed very clean and maintained. If we ever had a slot that wasn't working properly it wouldn't take an attendant long at all to come right over and fix it very quickly. All casino staff seemed to be SO friendly and helpful. The Taco/Mexican restaurant is AMAZING. THE BEST carne asada over ever experienced in my life hands down. Also amazing frozen margaritas. I would go back just for this food. We ordered a lot from the express eats as well and everything there was great too. CONS: No table games at all was the biggest downside to the whole casino. And I think the only downside as well.
