Service is bad, unfortunately, I have to say that they are doing against their business and customers. I have ordered shirt with a patch, at the end of December, after two weeks of waiting, I called them and ask for shirt, lady said they deleted all orders from last year. But the thing is, they didn't give any announcement on that, also they didn't say sorry or anything similar. I ordered again same thing, I asked to send me an email for order confirmation, and they sent. I got SMS on Jan 28th, that shirt will be done next week, and today is Fri, February 6th I don't have any info about my shirt. Only thing that I can recommend is to go there and buy something that you need in the store and get out with that item. If you order something and if you need to wait, good luck. read more

I was told by my PD admin this is the place they had previously had uniform shirts made for communications. I go in there the first week of June. They tell me they don't have my department logo & never made the shirts. A man working in front, not sure of his name, supposedly makes a call to whoever does the screen printing & again says they don't have it. He acts annoyed to even have to be doing this. I go back to work & ask a supervisor. She gives me the email specifically saying we can go here & that they have our logo on file to make shirts if we want them. I then fwd the email to the sales manager. She says yes, they do have the logo. Interesting. Due to their hours & being closed on weekends, it's another week before I can get in there. I order 3 shirts from them (that took a week & a half to even come in) & I took a jacket of my own in there to have done. She tells me it'll be about 2 weeks. Over 2 weeks goes by & I haven't heard anything. I send an email & she responds saying the wrong shirt came in, but she's "fixed that for me".. as if doing some huge favor.. but now she doesn't know how long it'll be. She said she'd check with the printer & get back to me Monday. By that Wednesday, I still hadn't heard back. I send an email.. first she says they'll be ready Friday by noon. Then it's 3pm. I rearrange things for that day to drive the 40 min to pick up my order. I then get an email they're done at 1230. I get home with them after paying over $160... all but the jacket I took in are too big! Even though I ordered the same brand & size the other uniform shirt I had is that fits perfectly. $160+ for 1 out of 5 items that is wearable.. on top of the terrible customer service. OK this is hands-down one of the best stores I've ever been into selection amazing choices plenty and service second to none the ladies here helped in every way possible. Let me give an example I need a pair of pants immediately bought it and it was already hemmed and altered to what I needed within the time I was finish shopping. That is service that goes above and beyond and the quality of work freaking amazing. I love going here I will continue going here and if anyone has any needs you need to go here. This company has the worst customer service. Not only do they never answer their phones nor return voicemails, they also can't meet their own timeframes. Your stuff won't be ready for days or at least a week after they say it will be and despite them promising to call " as soon as it's ready", that phone call never comes- you constantly have to follow up yourself. I ordered a jacket and was told it would come in a few days. A few days turned into a few weeks. That was kind of a letdown.. Alterations did a good job of quickly taking some patches off an old jacket and put them on the new one so I'll give them props for that. The store is clean and organized so that's a bonus. And a couple of the workers there are pretty friendly so that's nice. but overall I will support their overall rating of Two and a half stars. They are very slow when it comes to check out or doing any type of transactions. more often than not the customer is waiting on them to assist or you have to actually find somebody to help. read more

Got my patch late but expedited putting it on for me. Life happens some times, but they try their best to fix the mistakes.

This store is great! The staff are friendly and super accommodating. The store is clean, it even smells good! They always are quick to help and even if they don't have what I need in stock they order it in with no issue. There have been a few times that I've needed to fix a quick patch on a shirt or have my hash marks changed out and they always get it done while I wait. First time ever in Skaggs, and found it to be a great experience. Needed to purchase a thick black belt for my son's uniform and we found exactly what we were looking for. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about their products and clothing. The restrooms were very clean, and fully equipped with toilet paper. I was impressed with the gentleman that had helped us, for he gave us the belt with a discount. I will definitely be back for other items in the future. Awful customer service. Super slow. Never have my size uniforms in stock. It seems when you go in there on duty they ensure to NOT assist you in any fashion. I will never go to this one again. I purchased a backpack made by First Tactical; used it half a day, and unfortunately it was a little bit too small and does not fit all of my gear so I kindly tried to take it back to switch it for a bigger one and I'll pay the difference. Unfortunately, I cannot because Skaggs Public Safety Uniforms Store will not allow it due too COVID-19. With that being said, I could have choose to sit there and argue about it all and make a point of it; but instead I chose to just walk away with my pride!! I'm not gonna argue over a bag; however one thing that I for sure know, is I'm never coming back to Skaggs ever again!!! I'll take my business somewhere else there are plenty of uniform places around the Phoenix area!! I have been driving out of my way to come here, but not anymore!! My advice is just make sure you understand the Exchange policy; because some people know how too take advantage of situations very well. Super nice staff. Absolutely "NO" quality control!!!!!!!! Our dept has been using Skaggs for years and I have never had my uniforms done right when they were "finally" ready!!! My last order was wrong twice so just threw the shirts away. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you can!!!! Unfortunately, we have to use Skaggs. I will definitly pay more money and take my further business to Universal Police supply.. I ordered a ballistic vest in September of 2016 and when it finally came in at about 8 weeks it was way too small. So they had to resize me and send it back to the manufacture and i was told they will try and put a rush on it.. Well that didnt happen so when it came in at about 61/2 weeks it fit perfect but my outer carrier for it has not come in yet. When my carrier arrived it did not fit my plates or me so now they had to scramble in the back to find a carrier that fits me and my plates which they did. So once everything fit properly they had to send it out again to get everything sewed on.. They said it will be ready in 2 weeks... Well today i called and it was ready... So i went to pick it up and as Amber was gonna charge me the 5.00 for altering the belly band i noticed they sewed the taser pouch on backwards. Now Elliot came into the picture and he had excuse after excuse on how he cant take it to the Phoenix store today and why he cant call the regional manager.. And he said he will try everything he can for them to get it done right away well im not gonna hold my breath... Even though they were very apologetic i am still not satisified as a customer... If this was Walmart i would of been taken care of to the fullest. I even had to mention to them i should not have to pay the 5.00 for the belly band... TERRIBLE! My husband ordered/paid for a uniform shirt to wear to his Sheriff Academy graduation... We wait weeks and don't hear from Skaggs. We finally contact them and they THEN decide to tell us the shirt won't be in for another THREE MONTHS!! Now we are unsure if we will be able to order a shirt from another company in time for his Graduation. It's been a week since he cancelled his order and they still haven't proccessed a refund for him. Then... Apparently that wasn't enough of a lesson for me... And I decide to order 2 pairs of EMS pants for myself. They tell me the pants will be able to be picked up in 2 weeks time. I call them after 3 weeks and they then tell me the pants will be at least another MONTH. I was very upset and they were not apologetic whatsoever. The manager told me it "wasn't his fault". Terrible business. IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS, I WOULD! We've had to visit that store 3 times now and have nothing to show for it except 2 cancelled orders and 1 pending refund. read more
