I was charged $1,500 in damages for damages that I am sure I did not cuase. Sixt does not request that you acknowledge an inspection prior to renting so there was no oportunity to report existing damages. read more
I had a reservation booked for this location. Due to numerous delays caused by the train (bahn) I arrived late about 3 hours which already isn't pleasant and having carried my bags with me.
I arrived at the counter and the customer agent rudely said that I should have called. I explained that my American phone isn't able to call out without wifi and not to the Priceline number I had which was a 1-800 number for any modification. He then rudely said well the policy is to hold the car for an hour. I understand that but I also pay by the day and had a reservation and card on file. This location doesn't have an elevator so I dragged my two suitcases three flights of stairs down to the garage to the car. The car already had a warning sign for oil change due but since I was exhausted and just wanted to get to my destination I took the car as is. During my time the tire sign came on as well which is fine given I went to fill up more air
Overall not a great experience with the agent who could probably use some customer service training but returning the car in Frankfurt was no problem at all. read more
