    They charged me $100. to cancel my rental. My rental was one month away and they could have rented that car multiply times before I was to rent it. Travelocity refunded their portion and SIXT have not. I made my rental on Travelocity on July 2025 and canceled on July early July and my rental need for a car was until August 9, 2025 They had free cancelation. Don't be a Victim of the false free cancellation. if I could give a zero star.

    Sixt is by far my favorite company to rent cars from! Their cars are always the newest models and low prices compared to other big name companies! This branch is conveniently located few minutes from the highway as well are LaGuardia Airport. It's very clean inside and they employees are very friendly and the wait time for someone to help you is very short since it seems like are fully staffed! I would definitely come back here to rent from them again!

    Love this car rental place! Thank you so much to Hassan and the team at Sixt you guys were amazing. Needed to rent a car to go camping this weekend and they made the experience really easy. Honestly the hardest part was driving in the city lol Before I returned the car, I vacuumed and detailed it to my best ability and filled it up all the way at the Shell 2 minutes away. And guess what people? No extra charges to my rental! How crazy is that, when you take care of a rental and return it better than how you received it, no extra costs get added. If you get charged extra and complain about it I'm guessing there's a good reason for it. Return process was super easy, handed off the keys to a worker in the lot and I was finished checking out. I'll definitely be renting from Sixt again in the future when I want to make a weekend trip outside the city.

    Amazing service and price! I never heard of SIXT, but the staff here was friendly, explained everything clearly, and the price was very competitive as well. They were very quick and they even called me back when they found something was left in the passenger side. Transparent and honest, I'd go with them again!

Pretty much the single reason we're here & you're reading this…read more Two of the three stars for pleasant, trying-to-help-even-under-pressure front-desk and car return personnel. The fact that they were not surly by default, thanks to Budget org's apparently indifferent management, is a tribute to innate good nature. Because prior reviews about persistent understaffing are accurate. We didn't hit excessive lines the three times we entered this weekend (15-20 min wait) but Fast Track was NOT an option at all twice due to single staffer. And at this locale, Fast Track requires checking in at the desk. So no speedy, desk-free pickup anyway-- allow for min 20 min (and up to 2 hours during holidays) for pickup. Management must set office temp at bare minimum -- it was miserably cold inside and out for those poor workers yet they were still professional. Cons: TEST KEY FUNCTIONS (lights / heat / wipers / syncing) BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE LOT. Also, per other reviews, TAKE PHOTOS OF MILEAGE / FUEL / CONDITION & CLEANLINESS. Understaffing means cars are not serviced & prepped adequately when busy -- which is always! First car we were given had NO wiper fluid as we belatedly discovered after an hour. Only to find wiper nozzles clogged & not working. Returned and car also had zero fluid at pickup. The car being picked up next to us had zero gas and wouldn't even start. Both cars had dirty side windows & side mirrors, and large smudges on windshield, creating poor visibility. They're just too understaffed for details like that. And these are niche tips, but... If renting during a freeze, be aware that most SUV models in stock have in-arm nozzles and those were frozen solid in both models we were given, even after new fluid added to reservoir. Took over an hour with heat/defrost on high to get front fluid to barely spritz and rear never defrosted. Critical issue for safe highway driving in stormy weather. Also, Apple CarPlay only worked with cable (not Bluetooth) in our 2025 Telluride model after much troubleshooting by tech savvy driver. Not sure if fault with model or just its default (most videos suggested it) but if using iPhone be sure to carry a USB-enabled cable, just in case. Kia Telluride did seem roomier (passenger legroom and trunk when seats down) than Mazda CX90, but the Mazda had fancier & easier to use media displays. If that helps when choosing.

I arrived an hour prior to my reservation pick-up scheduled for 11:00am on Sunday. Upon arriving, the line extended to the sidewalk outside, and only grew as shuttle buses dropped off people from the airport. There are two lines at this location, fast break and regular. The fast break line was virtually empty until I finally neared the counter at which point a shuttle was dropped off and the fast break line grew to about 4 customers, while the regular line continued to extend into the parking lot. The counter is severely understaffed and untrained. When the shuttle arrived tensions flared because there was no place for people to go and not one staff member ever intervened or addressed how to best form the line (granted at this point there is only one person at the desk because the other person left for over 30 minutes). I was next in line and the fast break line was the only line being addressed, and the rep refused to make eye contact with me to let me know it would be a moment or I would be next). I understand they get to bump ahead but even addressing each line every other turn would still honor their priority over waiting long periods of time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. SERIOUS STAFF TRAINING NEEDED.

I showed up early but I was standing and waiting for my car along with 10-15 other people who were also waiting. I got the car and left the premises at 7 PM. I returned it at 7:25 PM and was still charged a late fee (there is a 29 minute grace period which should have been applied). I don't know what kind of business does not log the exact time someone picked up a car but this is borderline fraudulent. 2. Fuel fraud: When I picked up the car the fuel mileage was around 270-280 miles. I don't remember the exact number but assumed that they would have this logged somewhere - they did not. I specifically refueled and returned the car with around 290 miles left because I didn't want them to charge a fee. They charged an 80$ fee for refueling. I don't know what kind of business does not log the exact fuel level on the receipt at the time of pickup. Seems very convenient on there end. 3. Horrible customer service: I can't reach out to anyone at the airport to talk about this! There was a co-manager who was really nice and offered a 40$ rebate for the inconvenience and I'm trying to reach out to her to talk about this. But whenever I call LGA Avis, they just redirect me to their call center and the call center cannot direct me to their manager?? How am I supposed to talk with the manager? I live in Manhattan and this is in Queens?! I obviously don't have evidence of when I left the premises and what the level of mileage was because I assumed, as a smart business, Avis would have a record of this. But now im stuck having to call multiple times and file a dispute with my bank. Except for the nice co-manager, this was, excuse me for my language, an absolute shit show. Absolutely recommend staying away and you are more a than welcome to contact me with questions

I have observed a systematic pattern where high-end vehicles are removed from the designated member zone and restricted exclusively to paid 'Upgrades.' In my previous visits, I have confirmed that instead of placing high-end vehicles in the President's Circle area, this location consistently stocks only low-end, economic vehicles in that zone, while higher-category inventory is hidden to force additional sales at the counter. I have visited several times just to observe, and seeing that my status is not respected, I have chosen to rent with Avis, where I am also a President's Club member. It is regrettable that you would rather lose valuable customers than stop manipulating prices to force paid 'Upgrades.' Furthermore, the quality of service is inconsistent and heavily dependent on the staff on duty; the treatment and transparency are noticeably better during the morning hours. I am not asking for a favor--I am demanding that you properly stock the President's Circle area with appropriate, high-end vehicles and stop the practice of withholding them.
