Ordered a Dj façade. They never shipped my order. Made me pay via Venmo. I should've known there was something wrong when they did not accept credit cards. No way to get a hold of anyone either. I tried emailing with no response and both phone numbers are out of service. Do not order from these people! They will take your money and run! read more

Ordered an item that was promised several weeks later...I called to confirm, but didn't get any response. I emailed but didn't get a response. I sent a Facebook message, but didn't get a response. I placed an order online for two speakers. They're sending to the wrong address and the phone number on the website isn't working. I sent an email and haven't received a response. Any company that doesn't have a working phone number and no direct email address is suspect. Now, I'm 1000% worried that I won't be able to return the package since it's being sent to the wrong address. FOR YOUR SPEAKER AND SOUND EQUIPMENT NEEDS, CALL ASTRO DJ IN GLENDALE. They are run by actual people and have been in business for decades. This company is suspect. read more

Picked up speakers, Mixer the whole sha-bang. Broke the speakers brought it back. They are fixing it, but haven't got them back yet. So far pretty happy that I have the reassurance that I can bring my broken speakers back. Friendly advice: Bring a few friends, they can help you move the car before metermaids get to it. read more

I would say poor customer service but I can't because no customer service at all... after many calls no one picked up the phone, didn't get a reply via email either, I had to go to their facebook account and miraculously 2-3 mins after I posted a comment asking how to make contact they canceled my order! I have been djing since 1993 and I was always looking for a location for dj equipment that was not driven by the stores needs, but mine. These guys have been the best thing that happened to my career the last 20+ yrs. They have saved me THOUSANDS of dollars on equipment, lighting, staging, misc wiring that would have all been at least triple the price at various DJ equipment shops in LA. I highly recommend them!!! If you need DJ Gear, new school or old school, they have it here at great prices for you. Like Angie A. says, "be firm and bargain!" I got their Marathon cases and they do just fine at a fraction of the Road Ready's. Tips: 1.) Parking: do NOT park in the RED, you can get a ticket fast. 2.) Parking: if you can't find parking on 11th St., you usually can on 10th St. 3.) Open your boxes there before you take it home. I bought a Marathon Turntable case that had a Mixer case in the box. Luckily they gave me the correct box and case when I brought it back. 4.) Bring and Pay with Cash. I don't trust any of the sellers on this block anymore after getting my card charged with stuff I didn't buy, right after I shopped here on 11th St. Hope that helps... read more

Whenever I need DJ/PA gear, this is the place I head to. Huge warehouse with a great selection of amps, speakers, mics, lights, needles, cases, etc. Strictly gear, no music. Great staff--super helpful and knowledgeable. Be firm and bargain with the sales reps and you can walk away with some killer deals. Also, they price match any authorized retailer (including online stores). FYI, Six Star is also the Marathon (ATA case maker) warehouse, so you can get their entire product line at a discounted price. Parking sucks, but about 50 yards to the right, you'll see an entrance to roof-top parking...costs about $2/hr. read more

Waste of time. I am contacting Paypal to get my money back. These people don't ship, do not answer the phone or email. What a waste of time. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE from this company. If you're a dj, event planner or any type of production person. Do not order from this company online. it is a complete joke. I placed not 1, but 2 orders from this Six Start PSL for the same merchandise. The first order placed on their direct website seems to go smoothly, until i noticed after 4 days there was no movement with my packages. I then proceeded to call. The phone almost rang out until i got someone.. (who didn't seem like he wanted to help) He told me "someone will reach out to you today, in regards to your order" and that was it...No , no one ever reached out to me and i didn't even get a email. Just another 2 days later an email notifying me my order was cancelled. I then proceeded to call multiple times a day for another 3 days with no luck and the phone completely ringing out. At this point (thinking the speakers in which i needed was a great deal) i decided to place another order and within 6 hours i got another order cancellation email. At this point i decided to check up on their reviews... and of course their have been similar situations as mine. It's very hard to believe this company has any good reviews based on my 10 day experience. I'm guessing it's friends of the owners . To combat the actual "real" reviews left by "real" customers. STAY AWAY IF YOU ACTUALLY REALLY NEED EQUIPMENT ORDERED!! read more

I have been a friend and customer of Six-Star DJ for decades because that's the way it works there... you're a friend first! Six Star DJ is the best store with great prices people friendly and I always have a good time when I go down and visit David!!

What a huge disappointment! Drove all the way from Corona to check out their DJ equipment. When I walked in and the sales people looked at me and did not offer me any service. I walked around Trying to find what I was interested in with no luck. When I finally cornered someone to ask a question I was treated as if I was bothering them. I would think that being in the area that this place is located in which is not very nice they would have made an attempt to get my business. I was in the market to buy a DJ set up but unfortunately these guys were not looking to sell one. Also the parking is terrible! read more

At first, I thought this place was the best place to get really good deals, until I figured that they over priced their 3/4 of what they cost. I got a light there for 140, was able to manage to bring it down from 160. I then later found out, that exact same light was being sold for 80 dollars. Be careful buying there, because they make you sign a receipt thats pretty much a contract. In the back it says that you can't return any products even if you had just gotten it the same day. There are no walls stating the fact that all sales are final. I may be bitching due to the fact that i got ripped pretty damn bad, I'm just warning you all that plan to do business here. read more

Don't believe their great reviews. I believe they're written by friends of the owner. ZERO STARS, BUYER BEWARE, ZERO STARS, REPEAT ZERO STARS... The salesman and owner were very nice when I was making a decision on which speakers were best for my application. i bought a pair of speakers and realized when I got home that they were too big for my needs. I went back to the store the next day and they told me I couldn't get a refund and that I had to pay a 20% restocking charge to take them back. They didn't have anything else I wanted so I'm stuck with these speakers. NEVER BUY FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS A 20% RESTOCKING FEE! READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE YOU SHOP HERE. read more
