The second time there was about a 10 minute wait which worked out great because I ended up discovering Baja's Awesome Beach Rides about a block away and booked a horseback ride on the beach for the following morning. The people there were very welcoming and service was excellent. The place was clean and orderly. Tables weren't too close to one another and the bathrooms were nice and clean which is a big plus in my book, I got a kick out of the large sign on the wall with funny phrases on it. It gave me a chuckle when I read, "Bill Gates never eats here" with the word never printed very, very small. And, "Two beer or not two beer" with the author noted as William Shakesbeer. I tried their coconut shrimp as well as some of their sushi rolls and it all was fresh and delicious. The second time we were there we brought some fish we had caught earlier in the day and they prepared it for us. Of course that wasn't the only thing we ordered but it was great to walk in with fish and let them prepare it for us. Timing was perfect on everything. From ordering drinks, to the main course, and dessert, everything was brought out just when expected. I was never having to search out a server. They seemed to be right there when I needed anything. Very attentive. For desert I ordered flan, which I prefer on the firm side. It was just as firm as I had hoped and had a hint more cinnamon than most which I really liked. We also had some of Pedro's homemade ice cream. It was a creamy and delicious treat. I give them 5 stars because they were friendly, attentive, served good food, had nice ambiance and, most important, were clean and organized. If I am blessed enough to return to Los Barriles I will visit La Casita again.

We got mojitos and margaritas and ordered a couple of appetizers, chips and guacamole and elotes and they were pretty good. The drinks were also really good, mine was the passion fruit margarita and it was refreshing. Everything was great but beware of mosquitoes, there were a lot in the area and me and my friends got bit many times. All and all the drinks were decently priced (250 pesos which was about $14). Definitely come here for a chill ambiance and good drinks.

The happy hour (from 5-6pm) is the only happy hour at the resort and drink specials are good. They are around $5-$6 USD and the mojitos are excellent. The classic margaritas are great. The Paloma is very good. The Baja Fish Tacos can be grilled and put in corn tortillas. I really enjoyed them. They can make French fries (not on the menu), and they're good. La Kahlo Salad is excellent. For a drink not on happy hour, she loved the Drop of Love. Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake--off the hook! Not too rich. I asked for no ice cream and it was phenomenal. Service: Alejandra and Maritza were excellent. They recognized us, greeted us, and took care of us. Much Respect. Final Word: Come for happy hour; stay for dinner.

They get very busy and they do not take reservations. The food was delicious and flavorful. The steaks are tender and were cooked fairly well. We got there late and they were already really busy, so as we were seated, our server Fernando was overwhelmed with tables but was still doing his best to take care of his tables with a friendly smile and joking. I know this is an all inclusive resort and that everything is supposed to be included, but people forget how hard these servers work to make our experiences wonderful and memorable, so give back a little and tip these people who work hard and do not make a lot.
