When the project didn't turn out exactly as well as I had hoped, the owner personally came out to meet with me and make sure things were done right. I had also asked him to provide estimates for each item for improvement listed in order of which should be done first. Casey responded timely to each of my communications. He showed up when he said he would. He kept me posted on the progress of each of the projects. And he did what he said he was going to do. I found his pricing to be reasonable and fair. He even repaired something that was not part of his job. He was respectful of us, our house, and timing constraints. He left the house as he found it. He took the time needed to explain what needed to be done, why, and what impact it may have. He brought the house up to current code. I would trust Casey with any future job and highly recommend him.

I purchased a 1950's home in Alexandria, VA in 2018; one of the first steps that needed to be…read moreundertaken was air sealing and re-insulating the attic and encapsulating the crawlspace to bring the home to modern comfort and health standards. I went with Comfenergy due to their professionalism and expertise. From the energy audit and consultation (Matt), to the removal and re-installation of attic insulation, crawlspace encapsulation and dehumidifier installation (Dylan & crew), things have performed as expected over a year later. No more humidity, no more overworked HVAC, and no more mud pit under the house. I am writing this review because I had an issue with the dehumidifier that was installed (throwing an error code). I called on a Monday before a holiday and explained the situation. Comfenergy had someone (Ariel) out by Friday to diagnose. He fixed the issue, offered amazing advice, answered all of my questions, and even performed an inspection of their previous work (going as far to spot repair a few places that had weakened due to settling). This kind of customer service, over one year after performing their work, made me feel a whole lot better over such a major investment and project for my home. I believe this is one of those instances where "you get what you pay for," and Comfenergy certainly exceeded my expectations.

During the inspection they also provided water flow management devices for our showers, replaced bulbs with LED, and installed a smart surge protector in our media room. The report they provided gave us recommendations for insulation, tuneup, and other installations to help improve our HVAC efficiency. The quote included prices and rebates available. We easily selected the options we wanted and scheduled the work. It was a fraction of the cost if we had engaged contractors without going through the energy audit. They managed the rebate process and we only had to pay the remaining balance. We had blown-in and spray foam insulation done in our attic. Once this was complete, Zero Draft retested and showed that the install increased our efficiency by over 20%. I can actually feel and see the difference. It's noticeably warmer inside. Our roof used to have frost on half and not on the other half because so much heat was rising up. After they installed our insulation the entire roof stays frosty and more f the heat stays in our living spaces. They even got into spaces I never thought were accessible!
