I was excited to start training here after moving to the area. I signed up for a higher level class…read moresince my pup already had multiple intermediate and advanced classes under her belt at our old facility. But they didn't communicate with me until after I had paid 190 dollars that it was required that I pay another 65 dollars for an online zoom meeting with my dog. I couldn't justify paying 2 dollars a minute for a zoom call for my dog on top of the original fee! I understand an in person consult requiring some cost but 65 dollars for 30 minutes all online was not worth it. Unfortunately I had to request a refund and am looking for other trainers in the area that might be a better fit.

We just added a wonderful but reactive guy to our household. When regular class proved too much for him, Megan came to our home and gave us great support, techniques, strategies and equipment insights to help make life more pleasant for him and us. And speaking of classes, we went through the family dog class, taught by Maria, with our daughter's rescue Rottweiler. It was fun, clear, and made a world of difference for a dog that is now praised as a "perfect" resident of a Denver apartment building! Both Megan and Maria are highly professional, staying current on the best evidence-based training techniques and upgrading their own knowledge. They are also both committed to positive reinforcement training that improves the bond between owner and dog. They offer a full range of classes and individual instruction. They are super!

When I did, I was told, "This is what the consultation is for... I get roughly 5 inquiries a day and don't have time to go over everything with every person who reaches out over text." That response felt defensive and dismissive, especially since I was simply trying to understand what I'd be paying for before spending $150 on a consultation. When I suggested a short phone call might help future clients get a clearer idea of the program, I was told, "Thank you for your input on how we should run our business." I was respectful and serious about getting help for my dog, but the overall tone came across as unprofessional and condescending. Clear communication and transparency should come standard with any service -- especially one this costly and important.
