I am the only one here training Yorkshire Terriers and one of a few men bringing their dogs to classes. My rescue Jax is now registered with me as a Therapy Team with Pet Partners. We're doing visits with other teams at a memory care facility. Soon we will be doing visits at a summer class for special needs children. My long term goal is to be able to visit children in hospitals and shelters. Jax just melts into the arms of a child. Dog training is about training the owner to better communicate with their dog. I am amazed at what I've learned in the past year. Jax has came a long ways too, not to mention his little brother Stud Muffin. I firmly believe there is no better trainer out there than Mary and no better facility than Lucky Dog Company. Hope to see you there.

When we got them back they went from completely untrained to trained in every way! Door manners, in the car, on the leash, and other basic commands, you name it! They were crazy about food and now they will sit in front of food and wait to eat it when they are told. It's amazing! We then brought them back for a tune up when our son was born. It was awesome knowing they were with people who knew them and loved them. Our dog Charlie ran and jumped in the lake immediately! Happy as can be. A huge shoutout to Derrick! When our son was born 4 weeks early he went out of his way to pick our dogs up when we were stuck at the hospital. He truly loves the dogs and cares about the families. You can tell this is his passion and it shows through his work! Lastly, Anthony has been fantastic to work with throughout too! Due to him and Derrick we will continue bringing our dogs back here when we need boarding knowing they are in the BEST hands. Life-Changing Dog Training--Seriously!…read more I waited a full month before writing this review because I wanted to be sure the changes we saw weren't just a fluke. Now, I can confidently say: Patrick and the Bark Busters program are nothing short of incredible. If you read nothing else--just know this: Patrick is the real deal. From the moment he stepped into our home, everything started to shift. He gave us tools, guidance, and insight that immediately began to transform our household. And here's the critical takeaway: Patrick will show you the way--but you have to do the work. There's no shortcut, no magic wand. The key is consistency. You'll be amazed at what you and your dog can accomplish with daily, intentional effort. If you're struggling--whether your dog is a puppy or a seasoned adult--pick up the phone and call Patrick. We have two Labrador Retrievers: one is 3 years old, the other just 8 months. We thought our older dog was well-behaved because he was calm... until we learned what calm really means. Meanwhile, our puppy was an adorable whirlwind--jumping, barking at the door, and definitely not ready to meet his older sibling. We knew we needed help, and fast. Enter Patrick. In just minutes, he had us "speaking dog." No gimmicks, no harsh discipline--just firm, clear leadership. Our puppy's behavior began to shift before our eyes. By the end of that first session, we were stunned. We felt more confident. The house felt calmer. The dogs were listening. Now, don't get me wrong--this isn't passive training. There's homework, every single day. In fact, every interaction becomes part of the training. But it's worth it. The results speak for themselves. And Patrick is always just a call or text away for support, clarification, or encouragement. One month in, and we have a completely different experience with our dogs. The puppy and the older dog are now peacefully coexisting--playing, lounging, and even responding calmly to the doorbell. We've established boundaries, learned to lead with confidence, and--maybe most surprisingly--realized our older dog wasn't quite the angel we thought. (Thanks, Patrick, for gently pointing that out in your follow-up visit!) Our new mission: bulletproof recall and calm, confident behavior in public. And thanks to Patrick, we're well on our way. If you're thinking about reaching out--stop thinking and just do it. Bark Busters and Patrick have given us tools that truly work, and a better relationship with our dogs. Whatever challenge you're facing, I honestly believe they can help.

I was scheduled with Patrick at the end of June. Due to their schedule I had to book it a month later. Well, Patrick came to my home. He is a very nice man, who thought he was the end all to training. Okay, I listened, he started out with the owner has to be the alpha dog. He actually said that dogs do not understand when we speak to them all they understand is "BARK". He claims that's how the converse with other dogs and this how we need to converse with them. I disagreed. I could believe this man and how he became a trainer. Anyone who has a dog knows they understand us. Patrick stated all I have to do was say "BARK at a normal voice and if they do not listen to say "BARK!!!" using a deep, strong, loud voice. I continued to disagree with him. Patrick stated we should part ways. I believe I should get my fee of $300 back. Especially since he would not offer their services. Patrick offered to send me some videos to help me with corrective training. I never received them. Oh by the way, Patrick stated he is the number one dog trainer in the area. He has a website don't remember the site but just put in search engine Patrick Dog Busters. I am amazed that this company is still in business and anyone would use them. Hoping they return will my deposit due to how ridiculous the initial visit, what a joke.

More importantly, they take excellent care of my tiny little baby Maltese who was downright traumatized by her first two visits to the groomers: PetSmart and PetCo! Yeah, I didn't know any better! *facepalm* I've always had dogs and cats, but she's the first one I've ever had that requires actual grooming on a regular basis -- instead of the occasional bath & nail trim at the vet! Speaking of which, they always grind the nails, never cut! That and expressing the anal glands is included in the price, though you do have to pay extra for tooth brushing! They're so gentle that she doesn't mind going, and she's never traumatized and shaking when I pick her up -- just happy to see me after an hour apart! ALSO... If your dog has more than a little matting despite daily brushing because you've never had a longhaired breed before and don't know what you're doing, remember: humanity over vanity! Take them here to be shaved down gently and safely without being traumatized! Then listen very carefully when they tell you exactly what tools and techniques you should be using from now on, and how often! So far, every groomer there has been great - but Jazz is particularly awesome! Remember to tip your groomer!
