If you've been to at least a few hospital cafes and desperately need coffee, you will be resigned to horribly bad coffee. This place is the exception. I had a mocha that was amazing.
The food & service far surpasses many Main Street cafes. The two man team behind the counter know their breakfast with a human touch offering a pleasant mix of light humour and local knowledge.
I had a craving for a bacon and egg roll that was unique - it had the perfect bread selection with a caramelised onion twist. And the coffee - divine. I am confident their lunch would be amazing.
The cafe sits in the foyer of Castle Hill Day surgery - unassuming but the seating is pleasant with plenty of books, newspapers and magazines to read. Lots of light but a tad clinical with the hospital finishes - maybe dark timbers on finishes would help.
I would bypass the others to have a relaxing coffee here. read more
