Sisters Camelot is a "charity" that has been busting union organizing from its canvassers for years, after the bosses raised their own pay while cutting it for canvassers, failed to repair their canvassing vehicle, and fired a union organizer. Since the strike began, they have refused to recognize or negotiate with the canvasser union, have hired a union busting law firm, and violently attacked picket lines. Their method of fighting hunger is questionable at best in the first place. They often randomly show up with their bus to share food. When we're suffering food insecurity, people don't need a random, unexpected hot meal. People need fresh produce delivered to existing food shelves, greater access to community gardens, stores in our neighborhoods that sell affordable fresh produce, and, most importantly, we need to be economically empowered with higher wages (to afford food) and shorter hours (to grow, prepare, and cherish our food).
