I was really excited to eat at the sisters cafe, but I was greatly disappointed. As I looked over the menu I decided I wanted the chicken pasta. When I went to order I was informed that they had no chicken...?... so I couldn't get anything that had chicken on or in it. What restaurant doesn't make sure they have chicken? Especially at 2:30 in the afternoon. I was informed that I could get shrimp or salmon on the pasta instead but I would be charged the extra $3-4 for that. This bothered me, I am not a big fan of seafood and didn't feel like paying $20 for a plate of pasta. At any other restaurant they would have said add the shrimp or salmon and no extra charge since it's the cafes fault they didn't have chicken. Then they probably also wouldn't be getting a bad yelp review?!?! What's worse saving $3-4 or having someone tell others what a bad experience they had at your establishment? I added the photos of the dip we got can't remember what it was so that tells you it was just that not memorable. I ended up having a basic turkey sandwich. My husband had a hamburger he was annoyed they didn't give him a knife to cut his burger. The music in the cafe was a bit loud if you sat on one side of the restaurant over the other. If you are going to eat here and want anything with chicken probably should call ahead and ask if they got there shipment of chicken in today! read more

Came here during the roundup for lunch and again for dinner! Awesome location and great ambience! The food was well presented and had good flavor! Really wanted to try their crepes but they weren't serving them during roundup for some reason. Only recommendation I would have for them is to please get higher quality syrup flavorings for their coffee- something with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, or maybe make their own coffee strips from scratch! Overall this place is awesome and definitely worth checking out!! read more

Yum! The Sister's burger was huge and delicious! The Orchard Blue salad with smoked salmon was fresh and amazing. My girls loved their grilled cheese and Mac & Cheese - and I loved that their meals cane with fresh fruit (not soggy melon) instead of fries. The bathrooms were clean. The service was great. And the restaurant had a fun, western theme and decorations. We were just passing through Pendleton but it's definitely worth stopping for. read more

We were dreading fast food again on our road trip and decided to try Sisters Cafe. I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, beautiful and arrived at our table quickly. My daughter was in the mood for an iced tea and they made her the Hibiscus Green Tea iced and it was very delicious. The crab dip with artichoke was a really good portion to share and wasn't full of filler cheese. It had large chunks of crab and artichoke. The spring salad was very beautiful, full of color and taste. And lastly, the decor is fabulous. It's definitely Pendleton with country music playing and wood floors and vintage rustic decor. This place was way better than it appears from the outside. Just goes to show you, don't judge a book by its cover. I had the shrimp salad and it was fantastic! The shrimp was really fresh, the avocado was tasty and the dressing brought it all together. Ya.... simple hard pass for this place. I refuse to wait an 1 hour and 45 minutes for a beer and a sandwich. Great way to waste my whiskey fest pre party.... NOT But in their defense, the owner knew they were sucking. They did make it right. And for sure I think it had a lot to do with under staffing and being unprepared. You own a business, you knew a big rush was coming. Take ownership in this negative review. And you were informed this was coming. It is not my problem for being unprepared. LOVED Sisters Cafe! Visiting for Pendleton whisky music fest and enjoyed both meals we had there! The drinks were amazing. Best meal ordered was the brisket sandwich!! Turkey club on croissant was great too. Enjoyed the live music at lunch. My husband grew up in Pendleton and so glad to have great new options when we visit. Pendleton has come a long way! Such a great town. Atmosphere is great! Casual... feels like part coffee house, part wine bar, part restaurant. Couches and small eating areas to gather. Stopped in on our road trip. This place had good reviews. Loved the urban coffee feel when you walk in. Mixed wood and steel for the bar and coffee room. It was also decorated with Xmas items. The waitress recommended the homemade chili. It was lukewarm, not hot, but seasoned well if it was served hot, I would've enjoyed it more. We also shared a Gluten Free BLT, loved the avocado. The pastries looked delicious as well...they also offered beer and wine...What I didn't like was the loud music that was playing Latin Dance Pop Radio or playlist. I felt like I was in the Mexican restaurant next door not this chic urban coffee shop. I would've loved softer background music that was more coffee house playlist...hopefully they look into Pandora, Apple, or Spotify for a good list. If I lived here I probably would not come back to work, study, or hang out. read more

The only other suggestion I would have is that they offer their Crepes for more than just breakfast. It would be a great addition to their lunch menu. Food quality has gone down, especially in the evenings. Last time I sent my partner for food they wouldn't make a blended coffee drink between 6 and 7 pm because they said they were done with coffee for the night. Well I actually happen to know that the blended coffee drinks do not require drip or espresso coffee, so basically the staff didn't want to wash out a blender. Mac and cheese was still very good but the portion size was smaller than remembered. Irritated over the blended drink but wasn't a big deal so I tried again last night. Got the brisket sandwich! This is very good as I remember, but there were a few issues. First they were out of tater tots. No biggie but then why give me fries that you could tell were not fresh and had sat out? The worst part was that when I opened my meal there was a huge piece of wilted lettuce on top that was literally half brown. The person making this literally could have torn that part off but obviously didn't care. It just is unfortunate because I remember the quality being so much better before!! If the quality was on par with what I remember, I would be ordering take out from Sisters more often. But it's sadly not. I have a hunch that the evening/closing staff just doesn't care and perhaps there is less supervision at night so they are just doing the minimum. At first I wasn't going to even leave a review but honestly I hope management reads this so they can at least know what's going on. From what I remember management would not have stood for sub par quality not too long ago. I hope they are able to catch their evening staff being lazy and doing the bare minimum so they can hopefully bring standards back to where they were before. As for me well I'm not going to keep wasting my money to be disappointed. I don't always order takeout but when I do and especially from a place with a good reputation and history like Sisters I do expect a certain level of quality, not to be disappointed with my meal. They have great tasting food so if they just tried to work on presentation, quality, freshness and service in the evenings then I know they would be 5 stars all the way like I remember!! I also have a feeling that if I was ordering lunch instead of dinner and management was supervising everything that I would likely be getting that same 5 star experience I miss. Even my partner said that the evening staff the time before looked like they didn't want to be there. Sad. There is nothing worse than being excited for your food only to feel like someone didn't care. read more

Our best experience so far in Pendleton! My girls had the Nutella and banana crepe, breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, bacon, Green peppers, onions, white cheddar, and spinach tortilla. My wife and I found this place on yelp. Unfortunately, the day we were there the health department was doing an inspection. We ordered a small pizza and a Ruben. We received the small pizza for my wife, but my Ruben was forgotten. We told them we understood, busy things going on. Ordered another drink and said we would wait, the Ruben finally arrived, but unfortunately the fries (which cost extra) never found our table. We were very gracious, told them we understood and left a sizable tip. My suggestion would be the next time things go really bad, maybe offer to comp a drink? Desert? We did not expect a free meal, but 1 hour 20 minutes for lunch was kind of excessive. With all this being said, the food was incredible. read more

Sister's Cafe was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel. She hit the mark on spades! Awesome food, prepared well and large portions. Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. My wife had the Mac and Cheese with bacon and it came with as generous side salad. I had the Western bacon burger.. The meat was done to perfection all put together on a brioche bun. It came with some of the best fries I have ever had... Crispy outside and tinder inside. Perfection! YUM! Sister's features as nice wine and list that will please almost everyone. The turkey/bacon wrap was a healthy way to get protein for our road trip. Although my wife rejected the use of bananas, the sweet crepe still had plenty of good tastes. No disappointment here. This is a gem in downtown area. You have to put things in context...I mean your 're in Pendleton OR. Newly remodeled, clean and friendly service. One of the owners is a San Diego transplant. I had the Greek salad that was chock full of chicken and feta....a very large portion and couldn't finish it. The field greens were impeccably fresh.
