Jennifer Mercier Jennifer Mercier As an addendum to my past post: I sued Diana Johnson in small claims court and won the refund for the sick puppy that she sold to me on Jan 1st 2020. Diana then appealed it and won. I find this disgraceful. My puppy was sick when I got him and I racked up thousands in veterinary bills. I sued her for a refund. There is an implied warranty for a good and a dog is a good. While I understand that the Judge is doing his job and stating that I did not hold up my end of Diana's remedial contract I still believe that in good faith she should have refunded the money for this sick puppy. Her contract states that she wants sick puppies returned to her. I get it. However, my puppy had Parvo virus which is very contagious and kills other dogs. She told me that she had 14 other dogs. I was advised to not remove my sickly puppy from the veterinary clinic due to the contagious nature of the virus. I lost the case but in the end I know that I did the right thing for this little dog. Buyer beware. My vet stated that she would not take any further dogs from Diana. Parvo can live in the soil on a property for up to 7 years. read more

UPDATE*** four puppies we know of have been sick and/or died very early in their life. She gives out her puppies earlier than most breeders recommend. THOMPSON is a family name. Don't be fooled by her own family's reviews. *** I now know of three cases of sick/dead puppies from her. She is very unprofessional and loses her temper easily. Just like Teresa, My family has a HORRIBLE experience with Diana. Not only did she treat my family cruelly, but she also accused us of trying to ruin her business and reputation, while we were just trying to save our pup. We had asked friends how to treat his seizures, and never meant her any harm. For some reason, she thought that by us asking for help, we were (intentionally) ruining her reputation. All we wanted was a healthy puppy to love. We bought our little pup and three weeks later he was seizing every day. He couldn't be left alone. Diana had offered a new pup before ours had even passed, but we knew she would just put him down, and give us another sick one.... so we tried to fight to keep our baby healthy. What his health condition needed was 24/7 round the clock care and multiple doses of medicine a day. YES, she DID offer another Puppy, but ONLY with invasive, and EXPENSIVE tests for Proof. As if the seizures weren't enough?? There was no trust at this point because she was already yelling at us in messages. She called us annoying when asking for help, she accused us of trying to maliciously hurt her business. All we want is for the truth to come out. She will say we were an overwhelming group because of so many messages, but half of those were from before he was sick, sending cute videos and sharing our happy stories. Only at the end of the conversation did anything turn negative. She will say she felt attacked because the group chat had my whole family in it. But we were all in it, because it was easier to explain what was wrong with his health in one chat. There was no ill intention. My family did not have the money to spend thousands on surgeries and medication... especially after spending $1800.00 on the puppy that would not be refunded without more than 2,000 more dollars in testing. She has hurt a lot of families, and it's a shame that she didn't make it right with us. Had she made things right, I would not have given her a bad review on Yelp as well as google. I would have posted about the experience saying she did all she could. but she consistently made offers and then redacted them. She offered to take our puppy to the hospital, then took back her offer when we tried to set up a time. We are still hurt and confused. This is still a loss that is heavy in our hearts I hope by sharing my story, another tragedy may be prevented. If you want to learn who Diana really is, look at the way she responds to reviews. There is no sincerity in her words. She cares more about her reputation than the people she has hurt. There are far too many cases that have shown her true colors. Clearly, she doesn't have much faith in her production of puppies or she would have offered a refund or new puppy while watching ours seizure. He didn't have to suffer this way. Its a shame she put us all through that. If you have had a good experience with Diana, then I am happy for you! Customer service is not her specialty. I encourage you to read the MANY comments and reviews that have been posted in great detail about what happened. I want everyone to know what happened to me and what I experienced with this owner. I understand and am relieved that not everyone has had to experience what I went through. My father who was 70 yrs old decided to purchase us one of her puppies using his credit card. I spoke with the owner twice on the phone prior to the purchase and felt like I could trust her and it would be a good experience. One of the major problems we encountered was paying the owner. The owner told us that she wanted us to use PayPal and walked us through it. We set up the account and then sent the $1,500.00 via PayPal using my father's card. When I called the owner she said I had sent it incorrectly because she hadn't received it. I told her I used my dad's card and that's when I saw red flags! She went on to ask me, " Why are you using your father's card? Why didn't you use yours?" I said, " My father is purchasing us the puppy and he lives over an hour away from us. " Then she asked us to properly send her the money again but this time, make sure that we send it correctly by pressing ..... " business" . So, against my better judgement I sent it again and pressed, " business." I want to be clear here- In total we sent her $3,000.00 and she hadn't seen or claimed the first amount we sent her and she told us she would send it back as soon as she received it. As time passed, we got word that the puppy wasn't well. Then we were told the puppy had died. Then, my father called and said, why do I have a $3,000.00 charge on here from Sissy J's when it was suppose to be half that! Immediately, I called the owner and asked her about it. The owner said, " She did finally receive the first payment finally and she would be sending the money payable to my father's name. " I informed her we set up the account in our name and my father had no PayPal account and then she just kept hanging onto the money with excuse after excuse. PayPal won't let you return the refund unless it is attached to the same card that was paid out. The owner immediately offered us a couple of options which we weren't really willing to accept. My husband then began texting her in order to help navigate the situation because I was too emotional about the whole thing. My husband agreed to take a puppy then said, i'll talk to my wife and make sure. The owner took this as a signed in blood yes! Then I text the owner from my phone and told her no we didn't want to take the puppy. We wanted our money back because we had no puppy. We wanted a teacup and not a toy or any other puppy. The owner's offers were for a puppy that would cost us $3,000.00 because she didn't want to return any of our money back to us! We even caught the owner offering us on two separate occasions one puppy for $1,500.00 and then again offered it to us for $3,000.00 We informed her we just didn't trust her and wanted our money back because we had no puppy! She refused. She screamed and was totally unprofessional with us on the phone. She even called to tell me she was so upset I gave her a bad rating and I had ruined her perfect score on social media! WOW! Anyways, we contacted PayPal and told them the story of our nightmare and they said ( all these facts are true and can be checked by calling PayPal yourself!) " I am so sorry that this happened to you. We do not do business like this with anyone. It doesn't matter what the owner says or what her contract says- if you received no product then we are reimbursing you the money and will go after the owner and freeze her accounts till we get the money back. But the first portion that you sent her as friends- we can't give back! We can reimburse the business transaction because that is our policy." Thank you PayPal. The end of this horrific story is that the owner stole the remainder of the $1,500.00 and we received..... nothing. So, I vowed to tell my story to everyone so it doesn't happen again. FYI .... IF you choose to use this company make sure you use PayPal and press " business" when sending the money. PayPal will have your back and you will get some sort of justice! read more
