As the name implies, the risk bar includes many dangerous obstacles before being able to take a sip of diluted ethanol. I know I am the only reviewer thus far that has passed the trials. It consists of 3 rooms that require parkour over snakes, tigers and spiders, all of which could end your life if you decide to take the risk. I would give the The Risk Bar a 5/5 if the marketing wasn't so misleading. Say it how it is, it's a SAW inspired theme park. Once I passed all the trials I was greeted to a windowless room, and a piss weak cider that would make a 12 year old child say "this isn't a beer" my experience with the Risk Bar was very risky, so if you're looking for a risk or you are suicidal. Pear, walnut, arugula, and balsamic glaze with a garlic base, every single flavor stood out. The bar manager, Josh, is great. We went to one of their free tours (6:30 on Thursdays) and it was filled with loads of information. It was tale-telling and process-learning amongst fellow beer appreciators, and home brewers. Once you are done, the bartenders are more than helpful in making sure you get a beverage that you will enjoy. If I was closer to this area, I'd make it a point to come back, and to try their pulled pork (Friday's only!).

Tonight I saw lucky enough to see Mama Blue & Son, Pat Wilson (Trio) and Tim Hulsman. I have never heard of any of these acts however the quality and talent was really enjoyable and laid back. This isn't a bar to get rowdy but instead to sit on luxurious sofas and couches, grab a few drinks and pizzas or tapas and kick back after a big week to enjoy sweet sweet bluesy music. Tips: -You can reserve tables or couches ahead of time at this venue -Bring cash at the door -Doors open at 8pm with acts starting around 8-8:30pm and the venue closing at 12am I will be making my way back here soon as the music was fun, drinks well priced and the venue easy to get to from the south east suburbs with plenty of parking outside.
