Single Origin reminded me of a brunch cafe/bar in Marrickville, Sydney. In the morning, they serves us brunch food and becomes a speak easy bar at night. It offers all-day breakfast items & single origin, third wave brewing method for their coffee.
Bacon on Mud. Air dried bacon served with a chocolate ganache. The bacon was chewy and was more like a jerky than a crispy bacon. The chocolate dip doesn't really match the bacon.
Bacon Basket was thinly, sliced fried pork belly coated in sweet bbq glaze. The pork was also chewy, similar to a Cow Label jerky in a pack.
S.O. Wings is fried chicken wings is glazed with honey. Like a sweet buffalo wings with bleu cheese dip. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but the flavor is very flat. It's just sweet.
Breakfast Pizza is a rustic, thin crust pizza topped with bacon, quail egg, arugula, and cheese. The pizza has a nice, crispy crust with simple flavors.
Homemade Corned Beef Benedict. The corned beef was perfectly cured with the right flavors. It just lack the moisture of the meat. The poached eggs was topped with some hollandaise, but wasn't enough to flavor the egg and potatoes.
Fish & Fries. Oatmeal crusted fried fish fillet wasn't fresh. The fish was almost mushy and not firm. It's a sign of thawing and freezing multiple times that destroyed the fish.
Rice Crispies French Toast. The French toasts didn't feel like French toasts thgat was soaked in milk and egg. It was more like bread crusted with rice crispies.
Pancakes was nice and fluffy. It was topped with candied lemon rind. The serving was huge and is good for 2-3 people.
I'm disappointed with most of the food served. The drinks was excellent, both coffee and cocktails.
