I am so pleased to have found singing sissors. The shop is not sylish but the owner is great and our two golden retrievers had great treatments. Their shedding has even calmed down. It is possible to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time and the prices are very reasonable. Both the exterior and interior of this business are unkept, dirty. Our Yorkie returned to us with a sub par cut. Looking elsewhere now.

If we could split up the rating for the haircut vs. the shop cleanliness these scores would be different. 3 stars is for the haircut, I would rate the business cleanliness as -5 stars. Why are there no photos on their website showing what the interior really looks like? Go check out the place before you book an appointment, we didn't do that and were shocked when we arrived. It doesn't look at all like any business I've seen, nothing like any other grooming shop. It does not look safe/sanitary for any animal or human to be in for any amount of time. There are dogs running around barking, hair all over the floor. Not a clean calm place to groom animals. We couldn't even tell where the entrance was. I hope they clean it up, they seem to have some loyal clientele. Maybe tip them more, or start a crowdfund to help them turn the place around. We will be finding another company to groom our cats. read more

I am so grateful to have found Singing Scissors. I have two very different breeds, a Malamute and a Maltipoo and they do an excellent groom for both of them. My dogs come out relaxed and happy even when I know I had waited too long to make the appointment and they had some matting. They are always kind and gracious at checkin and pickup. I have tried every groomer in Santa Fe and finally found the one that works best for us. My pups look and feel great. read more

Brought big German/Aussie shepherd mix who has a LOT of fur here for the first time. When I picked him up I noticed all the pictures of huskies in competitions on the wall. If they groom huskies, they know all about FUR! And indeed: my big guy has NEVER BEFORE LOOKED SO GOOD! The black part shines like velvet and the rest of him...soft and fluffy is all I can say. I keep wanting to take his picture (tough because he won't stay still)! The place itself is not fancy but all the dogs running around seemed very happy and mellow and the result speaks for itself. Service was also very friendly. Price was comparable to other groomers. Great job folks, and we'll be back!!!! read more

I am SUPER picky about where I have my dog, Happy, groomed. I don't know how many people I stopped while they were out and about with their dog and asked them who were their groomers. Singing Scissors was constantly recommended. Sing Scissors gave Happy a great haircut and I checked him from front toes to back toes for any shear burns or cuts. There was NONE. DO NOT take your pets to Singing Scissors. My Maltese dog was killed at this facility by the owners two Siberian Huskies. After being there for 8 hours, we went at 5:00 to pick him up to find out he still wasn't groomed. They were still working on him. We watched in horror as they set my 4 pound Maltese on the floor where their own huge Huskies were and watched as they tore my baby apart. There truly was nothing left of him. We still scooped him up and drove to the emergency vet where they euthanized him so that he would not suffer. When my husband returned to Singing Scissors with the police and animal control. the owner Kendra, had cleaned up the blood, taker her animals and hid them and even erased Shadows name from the appointment book. There was no evidence that a crime had taken place there. These are dispicable people that not only never apologized, but took no responsibility for there own actions that day. Those dogs should have never been there having free roam of the place. This is a place where there are many small dogs and cats. They were irresponsible. This happened many years ago and I had no idea that they were still in business much less the same owners, but today I met a man at the park that took his dog there to be groomed. He informed me that Kendra still owned Singing Scissors and that it made him very uncomfortable that they let there two large Siberian Huskies roam the premises freely with all the small dogs there. I was shocked and angry that these people did not learn anything from this tragedy. This is because they got away with it the first time. I had no way to get my voice out years ago because there was no such thing as reviews on websites, but I am going to make sure that everyone knows that there pets are in danger. Please do not be fooled by how nice they are. You can be nice and be irresponsible at the sane time. read more

I was referred to Singing Scissors by my favorite pet food shop and an old family friend who kept dogs for years. This groomer shows huskies, so there are large dogs roaming inside. The front room used to smell of poopy a bit, but I think that they've moved the bin and it is better. This groomer handles big and small dogs with knowledge. Her work is excellent -- a clean trim, well done, nice shampoo -- I don't think I've seen my dog look better, her skin and fur feeling soft and healthy. Location a little funky, but this is Santa Fe not Newport Beach. We've been pretty happy at Singing Scissors. read more

Wow! What a great experience I had bringing my dog here today for the first time! She is a 10-yr-old Border Collie-Aussie mix with undercoat. She was sooo scruffy when I dropped her off and was transformed into a beautiful, pleasant-smelling delight just a few hours later when I picked her up. The "summer cut" is just perfect -- exactly how I described what I wanted -- and with her ears properly trimmed, she looks like her sweet puppy self! Best of all, she was eager to see me and seemed happy, not skittish or drugged! (Yes, a previous groomer drugged my dog without my knowledge or consent!)
