Thank God we were bailed out of taking care of our dog for a day. We were camping and wanted a day in town. The sweet lady who runs Dog Wonder came to our rescue. She sent us two pictures (which I really appreciated) and even took him walking. She and I use the same hand signals and commands so that was nice. I don't know how many drop ins she wants but I would definitely use her again. She seemed very comfortable handling my 60 pound blocky head American Staffordshire. read more

Sondra is AWESOME! We have a pretty smart English Springer Spaniel that's been on the road for a month and staying with other sitters/daycare. Lives up to the name! We recently moved to SF with our 11 year old Beagle/Basset Hound mix. We first used Sondra at Dog Wonder to walk him while I was traveling for work and were very pleased with the service. We had to make arrangements with only a few days notice, but she was able to accommodate us and work Bailey into her schedule, and Bailey loved getting the break during the day. When my father-in-law passed away, we had to arrange a last minute trip out of the country. Sondra was able to take Bailey for overnight pet sitting for 10 days with less than 24 hour notice. We were extremely grateful as trying to arrange last minute accommodations for such a lengthy period of time generally isn't easy. She took wonderful care of him while we were away and sent us pictures and updates frequently. When she was concerned about a potential health problem, she didn't hesitate to get in touch before addressing. Great service, great price! read more

Not sure who had the better vacation-we think our poodle would say that he did. Planned an overnight to Chaco but had to find the right boarder for our guy. Luckily we found Sondra. She is a dog wonder! She took our guy hiking, to the dog park and an outdoor concert at night. We weren't sure he'd want to come back to us. My partner and I just moved to Santa Fe and had to run back to California on a whim, without being able to take our dog--Simone. I thank my lucky stars we found Dog Wonder. Simone is a very rambunctious, physically strong, stubborn, Staffordshire Terrier with a non-stop "puppy- wants to- play" attitude. Simone and I are attached at the hip--in the 3 years we have been together, the total number of days apart are not more than 12, and I have never left her with anyone other than a roommate at our house or with my sister at her place which is familiar to Simone. Sondra is a BLESSING. She had us over for a "meet and greet" before she offered to board Simone. We got to know each other, and Simone got to know Sondra and her space. Sondra is knowledgeable when it comes to dog training, is very insightful with dog behavior and has a knack for working with energetic dogs like Simone--lots of PATIENCE. She is also professional and looks out for the safety of her 4-legged guests, which I very appreciated. She screened Simone for aggressive behavior, separation anxiety & over-all disposition, and also checked Simone's medical and vaccination records. I felt confident my Pup would be in good hands. When it came time to pick Simone up from her stay with Dog Wonder, I could tell she was bummed to leave her new friend. But we will definitely be back again. I HIGHLY recommend Dog Wonder. read more
