She quickly identify that I do have a good singing voice and identified my range and with her exercises and continued practice I was singing songs. In my case, I have a good ear, and I could tell when I was on pitch and learning to sing on pitch and stay on pitch was probably the most useful skill. As such, I was able to sing happy birthday - a cappella and on pitch - for the first time in my life and it was wonderful. She is an amazing singer in her own right with years of experience that she brings the bear to support her student, I highly recommend her as a patient, experienced, supportive, encouraging and great singing teacher.

Well, I struck gold when a was given a referral to Rheanna. Her skills are mind blowing. I am through and through a music geek. I've been playing the guitar since I got my first guitar at the age of 7. I expected yet another guitar teacher to hand me a book to learn from. Nope! Rheanna is a real teacher. I used to tell her she was my favorite therapist because learning from her made me feel good about myself. She has a special way of coaxing the best out of her students in a joyful way. She believes in every one of her students and there is never a doubt about it. I can't recommend her strongly enough. Please, if you are seeking a teacher for your self or your child in guitar, vocals, songwriting or all of the above Rheanna is who you are seeking. Plus, you can see her play shows all over SoCal! I don't think this is a great program for younger kids, I think starting around 8 would be good. Especially if you have a quieter kid - my kid isn't quiet. She still loved it and had fun but didn't want to do it again either. I think it was just too overwhelming because you have 20-30 kids in one room and really it's just Catherine. She's great with the kids and they love her. My older girl has loved the program, in her 3rd show. However, after 3 shows, she's ready for something more organized and structured. She comes home telling me just 2 weeks before showtime that there are kids that still don't know their lines or dances. These are middle and high school kids. My biggest complaint overall is how disorganized it is. It feels chaotic at drop off and pick up, tech rehearsal feels chaotic. We get costume info just a few weeks before which has us scrambling to pull things together. Parents are responsible for their child's costumes. I've had so many problems getting emails from her and it's never corrected. I never even got emails this most recent season but honestly, I've just given up. Overall my kids have loved the program and it's a great place to start - if you have an older kid. If you need lots of direction of when/where/what to do then this won't be a good fit for you. For us - managing 5 different schedules and where everyone needs to be, it's just gotten to be frustrating not having adequate information.
