Not sure if it was store policy but because I didn't have the owner of the membership card, my dad,…read morewith me I was stopped at the entrance. There might be reason for this policy but it's very inconvenient when it's my dad who has trouble walking and needs me to just pick up one item for him. In the moment I just wanted to move one, but for next time is this something I'm able to reason with the workers at the entrance?

"You just had a bad day at work, what are you going to do next?" Me: "I'm going to Disneyland!" I could probably find better use of my time, but it is MY time. I'm always looking for good deals and Costco always makes me feel better when I find something and know that I am getting it at the lowest price. And yes, I go online to see how much they're going for before I buy anything. And when Costco puts it on sale, it's a must (whether you need it or not lol). And the fact that they offer price adjustments within 30 days (and that snack bar hotdog/pizza) makes the membership fee somewhat worth it. Why not 5 stars? Well, let me tell you. I've never had to pay more for membership in my last 31 years! And they have this thing where they have random items available but only long enough for you to get hooked, then poof! They disappear never to be seen again. Then you look online only to find them at 3x what you paid for... darn you, Costco!!! And did you see the price for their chocolate-covered raisins now?!? When did they start costing more than cashews or mixed nuts? Is there a shortage on raisins? Here's a tip: don't get produce in bulk. Some may be worth the discount, but you're better off getting only what you can consume from your local store, especially when they put them on sale.

I come to this Costco Business Center regularly to shop for my mom's coffee shop, and I had a…read morereally disturbing experience outside the store today. An older Asian man wearing a white shirt, with tattoos and black hair in a ponytail, became extremely aggressive because he thought I was taking his parking spot. What confused me was that he had already left another parking spot with his items. While I was still inside my vehicle, he began yelling at me and told me to "go back to my country," even though I was born here. Regardless, that kind of racist comment is completely unacceptable to say to anyone. He then tried to provoke me by telling me to get out of my car to "fight him." No customer should have to deal with behavior like that while simply trying to shop. What was also disappointing was that Costco security was parked nearby and did not appear to step in or address the situation. I sincerely hope management denied this man service or at least addressed his behavior, because it was disgusting, aggressive, and unacceptable.

And I am going to check out your regular Costco in Hayward also on my next visit. Quality/Quantity - I like visiting the Business Costco because they have slightly different items from regular Costcos. And I sometimes discover some GREAT finds. Well, not today. I like buying your commercial kitchenware from this location. Good quality and reasonable prices. No fresh seafood at this location. No food court. Actually, very limited departments. Just noticed that I do not have many pictures for this location; I will change that on my next visit. Atmosphere - They added gas to this location in April of 2022. Makes parking slightly harder, but I like to walk. Neat and organized; actually, it is even more spacious than I remember from my last visits. Service - Consistent. Price - I never check. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1992. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Whoa I had driven down this road many times but totally missed glances over here. Maybe I looked…read moreonce but thought it wasn't for the public. You see US Foods is one of the big wholesale food distributers that restaurants big and small use. They will deliver big loads of goods whether food or supplies right to the restaurant, usually on pay terms so no cash is handled. And for busy restaurants this is a must, as they constantly need raw goods coming in weekly if not daily. This is the first time I saw a 'US Foods' store. I think they took over something else. But it is a big store/space where almost everything is in bulk and/or wholesale form. For the home cook there is really nothing here that would fit their needs/kitchen unless you like to buy in bulk. 20 - 50 pound bags of beans, sugar or flour is usually just too much for an average Joe to carry to the car, let alone store in a home pantry. But if you like to entertain/cook for a large group like a big birthday, a bbq outing or big holiday get-togethers, then this place may serve you a purpose. I browsed one day and got a good feel for the place and here are my observations. If you go into the fresh produce area or the meat/dairy areas, you will have to go into a refrigerated room. The whole room is about 35 degrees so if you go in there in shorts and/or a t-shirt, then you will not be able to stay in there for too long. Produce not really extensive but you will be able to find some basics. Some things are in cases/big bags but not everything. Actually lots of things in smaller packaging like 2-3 pounds which is doable for a home fridge/usage. I'd say the offerings here are somewhat similar to what you could get at Costco. Meats are a mixed bag. Lots of processed meats like deli meat in whole form. Lots of cheese too but much too bulky for a home fridge. There are pork and beef but all in big/whole chunks. Nothing will be cut into steaks. Big packs too like minimum 10 pounds or more. But if you're cooking for a big group, you're gonna need a minimum of 10 pounds so this may be a draw for me. The bad is for the beef selection, even though the pricing did seem good, there is no 'choice' grade. They use 'select' grade here, which is a notch down from choice. But if you're just braising or slow cooking then this grade would be just fine. Costco only serves 'choice' grade or higher so theirs is more premium. Pork is fine here, I got some pork tenderloin in 2 packs, which is one of the smallest packages I saw, ideal for home usage. Good selection of restaurant ware. Pots, utensils and storage containers. This is a big draw for me as I love restaurant quality storage containers. They are sturdy, with tight lids and many are stackable. These are even hard to find at Costco and Smart and Final. On a weekday morning there is zero traffic here, complete opposite of Costco. Now this is more geared towards restaurants, but knowing if I can get something here or Costco, I will choose this, as the parking and ease to get in and out is an amazing asset to me. I was gonna give them 3 stars for not really being friendly for home usage but given those certain occasions where I'm cooking for 10 or more people, then this place will get a heavy consideration. And drum roll please******no membership card needed. Open to the public. **cymbal crash**

The place is well laid-out, they have a wide selection with what seem like reasonable and competitive prices (and great specials), and the sales team is incredibly friendly, patient and helpful. I was pretty indecisive, and my salesperson talked me through my options, pros and cons of using certain types of fixtures, and made creative suggestions for how to display particular items. Also, this location's return policy is generous so I'm not sure what happened with the other reviewer. You have 60 days to return unused products, with no restocking fee. I was told that if something didn't work out or if I just changed my mind, all I had to do was bring it on back in its new and unused condition! My happy shopping experience even extended into the warehouse, where the gentleman who pulled my items helped me realize that I'd ordered one too few hangrails. They took care of that for me right away and I didn't even have to go back into the showroom. Not to mention, the other gentleman in the warehouse rescued this big beautiful hawk that managed to fly into the warehouse and get trapped. He scooped it up in his hands and gently placed it atop some pallets and was monitoring its behavior as I left. But I digress! The two men loaded up my car carefully and gently with my new loot, and I was on my merry way. I'd definitely recommend this place for all sorts of reasons, and to top it all off they have a really professional website complete with an online catalog so you can shop in advance!
