Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. Scheduling is easy with Hector because he responds to messages quickly and he is flexible and understands the importance of the client's needs. This past week the team arrived to prep the ground in the semi-circle of turf and to rearrange the rocks and clean up. We watched them work so hard from early morning to dusk and the results are pretty wonderful!! I received their quote the next day, last Friday, 06/06/20 by email. After review, it was obvious their representative understood exactly what I wanted to accomplish as everything was included in the quote. I called their office and asked when they could start and how much deposit was needed to schedule the work. They fit me in between jobs, and we're able to start on Tuesday, 06/09/20 and only requested a 30% deposit. Tuesday a very well organized team is bright green shirts showed up and jack hammered everything up and started moving the chunk, in wheelbarrows around the condo out to the street where their trailer was parked. Wednesday they finished removing the concrete then smoothed out the dirt. Thursday the new concrete was poured. Friday, the wrought iron fence was replaced and additional matching fence and gate were installed. Saturday, I was surprised when they showed up and installed the artificial turn where requested. Fantastic job. Courteous, polite workers who all speak English, and good natured, lots of smiles and were very appreciative of the water, coke and gator aid I gave them. Saturday night I sent the balance due on the quote. This morning I called to thank them for doing a wonderful job and asked if there were any additional, add on charges. NO ADD ON CHARGES! Here is the amazing part. They were the lowest bidder of three bids, which had add on charges for the unknown cost of fencing or turf. The other two bids had add on charges and both wanted 50% down to start. The other two bids were 30% and 22% higher without the fencing or turf. For a fast quality job, call these guys.
