I looked at the reviews and decided to call and make an appointment. I am so glad this is where fate led me. Nic was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable in a situation others may have been extremely embarrassed. Like others have said, he explained everything involved in the process. He didn't make me feel like he was in a rush. I'm a bleeder, and he was very focused on making sure it was taken care of before sending me on my way. I have plans for more piercings and some stretching, and I know that's the only place I'm going.

I am so disappointed with my bridal experience with this salon. My trial with Miranda Lewis was…read moreactually great. My hair was incredible and held ALL day. However, her behavior on my wedding day was completely unacceptable. Not only was she unprofessional, but three different people commented on how rude she was to them. One of my bridesmaids even refused to have her hair done by Miranda after interacting with her. My hair was falling out a few hours after it was done and hardly made it through my ceremony. Hands down the worst investment in my wedding was choosing to go with this salon, a supposedly reputable and "higher end salon."

I started using their in house cleanser and the BPO for overnight care and it's been my saving grace. This probably sounds like a fake review () but seriously I love this place!

Without question, the ladies that work here give the finest haircuts I have ever had. The shop…read moreappears to be a hair salon, but they have as many men customers as women, and its not hard to understand why. My hair grows in a certain way that makes it hard for most barbers to cut my hair in the way that I like. Metropole does not have that problem, (especially Kelly.) Because they do both hair styling as well as hair cuts, they understand the different ways hair can be cut. I get *exactly* the kind of crisp look I like, with the hair styled that accomodates the way my hair grows. I live in North Carolina, but always schedule an appointment when I come back for a visit!

They do men and women so don't be frightened away by the line that it's an all woman barbershop. Their prices also seem to be in line with what I hear you get for haircuts in Peoria but to be honest I haven't been to any other barbershop in over 20 years! As for the person mentioning Jo Marie no longer being there... sadly she passed away and that's the reason she's not there.
