The absolute WORST experience at a dentist EVER!! If you want dentists who only care about money then this is the dentist for you! If you want an inexperienced lab then this is the dentist for you! If you actually care about your teeth and the way you are treated then keep looking because this is NOT the dentist you want to go to! They also like to push their overpriced services on you so you will apply for care credit or one of the other payment plan options so they can get more money from you (they get a kickback from these services every time someone uses them through their office). All the people saying how nice and how clean this office is obviously have not ever stepped foot inside an actual nice office because this place is outdated in everything from the furniture to the decor and there is nothing nice about it including the part of town it is in! I personally will never step foot inside this joke of a dental office again! ZERO star rating! Only gave 1 star because I had to in order to leave a review! read more

Had a tooth extracted yesterday and as a coward in the dentist chair, I must say Dr. Christen Raynes took excellent care of me. I was made comfortable using gas and being completely numb and reassured. Dr. Raynes and her crew were excellent ! The day after the extraction my mouth feels good with very little pain. Crooks. Had to have emergency surgery. Charged me whatever they wanted and there was nothing I could do. Next visit found another issue, said they would Show me payment options. Dentist came in 30 seconds after and just did the work. They handed me a bill for 3700, I almost fainted. Altogether I paid 10k, didn't have a clue it was going to cost that much, and had to take out care credit to pay for a tooth what I could've paid for a car. When all the work I paid for is done I will Never go back, not ever. I'd have to sell my house even if I wanted to. read more

Zero stars would be a better option for Mark Simpson. The initial meeting went well, but when he had my signature on the paperwork (for overpriced work that failed and caused me to lose teeth), it went downhill from there. Because I asked him to hold on for a minute he proceeded to throw the syringe against the wall and shatter it all over the room as he stormed out of the office. They wanted to charge $3,000.00 for a root canal, which would typically be $1,000.00. I had an extraction done with one tooth "pulled" ended up being close to $500.00 (x-ray on 1 tooth, tooth pulled, gas). After about an hour sitting in the chair terrified, the second they were done they said, "You're paid, you can leave now." I left slightly disoriented and felt like I wasn't treated very well because I did not choose the more expensive treatment option (that I could not afford). I gathered my things and had difficulty finding my way to the exit. I would not return to this office. You cannot treat people like they are lesser individuals, just because they can't afford your prices/higher options. Funny when I first came the staff was great, took my coat and purse hung it on the door for me. Not the case when I left. It can be VERY emotional to be treated so poorly just because you cannot afford the higher more expensive option presented... For example my friend that referred me... She got a care credit card to afford their high prices and guess what? She was asked how she was doing following the procedure and walked out to her car. She was also very upset and horrified with the way I was treated. Following a bad review they posted my medical information online, which they took down after I threated to file a complaint. Also, after my review, one of their staff members saw me at Foam at the Dome and tried to harass me, it was quite embarrassing to explain her behavior to my group of friends along with a new acquaintance I was with. read more

Choose a different dentist. Similar poor experience as other reviewers: Outdated, Arrogant and Overpriced. While the staff assisting Dr. Mark Simpson was kind, the dentist himself is arrogant and verbally abusive. His services are outdated and close minded. He is condescending and does not care to listen to his patient's concerns. Makes already unpleasant experience a true traumatic experience. read more

My first appointment with Dr. Simpson was great. I left feeling really encouraged. During the next visit I had a tooth extracted and it all went well. The next visit was to have two more teeth extracted. One of those teeth did not get numb. Dr. Christen had told me to raise my left hand any time I felt pain. Several times I raised that hand and she'd give another shot of anesthetic and wait a few minutes before continuing. After a while she and the hygienist apparently stopped noticing when I raised my hand. Dr. Christen kept asking me if I felt "some pressure." I told her I've had several teeth pulled and am very familiar with pressure; you can do whatever it takes, short of hitching me to a truck, and I'm game. I stated clearly that I was still having severe PAIN -- but they kept working in spite of my hand-waving, and ultimately the tooth was pulled without the benefit of anesthetic. It was pretty clear that they didn't actually believe that it really hurt. I left the office soaked to the skin with sweat, shaking and in tears. It took me a while to get up the nerve to see a dentist again, but eventually I went to Aspen Dental. Not only was the cost of extractions and an upper denture far less than what Simpson Dental has estimated, but the dentist I saw there informed me that if he couldn't get someone numb, he simply didn't proceed with the extraction that day. Now THAT is treatment I will willingly pay top dollar for. I have friends who've gotten great results from Simpson Dental. I loved the office and its staff. I was willing to pay the exorbitant amounts they charged for great dental work. But I absolutely will not go to a dentist who doesn't listen when I say I'm in excruciating pain. There's no excuse for that these days. It's a deal-breaker, and one I hope they learn from. read more

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Christen Simpson and her staff. We drive 120 miles round trip for their top-notch care. And believe me when I say we would drive 500 miles if we needed to. A great dentist is priceless, and I will go wherever in order to provide my son with a positive dental experience. I had a HORRIBLE, HATEFUL, and MEAN hometown dentist when I was little, and to this day, I have SEVERE anxiety with any dental experience myself. I first came to Simpson Dental Associates after years of going from dentist to dentist in the area under recommendation of friends/family and was never entirely satisfied with the care I received. I had a lot of 'return visits' where other dentists failed to provide the care I was needing which got really expensive. A work colleague of mine had came in one day after receiving implants and his teeth/smile were absolutely picture perfect. A month or two later I started receiving pain again from a tooth another dentist had failed to treat, so I asked my friend about the place he got his implants done. He gave me the name/number of Simpson Dental Associates and I gave them a call. Their facilities are very warm and comfortable, it's not at all the 'waiting room feeling' I always got from other medical care facilities. They were very prompt and professional getting me into the chair, as well as everyone on their staff seeming very optimistic and welcoming. Dr. Mark Simpson immediately identified the problem with the work of my previous dentist and was able to fix the issue I was having quick and painlessly. Over the years any time I've ever had to go to the dentist for actual work instead of a 'check-up/cleaning' the problem was solved correctly and professionally the first time, every time. Also thanks to their preventative care, I've cut my trips to the dentist by 1/3 at least over the years, saving me thousands of dollars. I'm truly appreciative of the professionalism and care that the wonderful staff at Simpson Dental has provided me and my family over the years. Their expertise and competitive pricing has made them the only place I will be going ever again, my family are customers for life.
