    Husky Heating and Air Conditioning

I like huskies (dogs), but I love Husky Heating and Air Conditioning more! Our weather has been…read moredreadfully cold, with temperatures around the -25ºC mark, with the wind chill (-13ºF). Husky replaced our HVAC several years ago, and we never had a problem with our furnace. Last week, I noticed the temperature dropped a few degrees, and it took a long time for the heat to come back up. This never happened before, even when our weather was colder. I turned the furnace on and off, and restarted the thermostat, which did the trick, but I noticed it was misbehaving again. It was -26ºC this past weekend, and I called the afterhours service department. We discussed the situation and rates, but I made a judgement call to wait until Monday for a technician to visit. We had mini electric heaters in case the temperature dropped dramatically. On Monday morning, the office called to say our regular technician who I requested was unavailable, but they would send someone else right away. The furnace decided to play nice by the time the technician arrived - don't you hate when that happens? After checking the furnace and thermostat, he wasn't able to find any issues, but he did show me how to spot an error code for future reference. We always have our HVAC maintained by Husky, and find their service is friendly and efficient. I'm just grateful a technician came out so quickly, and that our furnace is working fine now!

We called them late on Tuesday and they suggested they come and do a maintenance. They booked us for the following day. Glad we did. It turns out we had a blocked drain. Gregor cleaned it up and then then did a service on the unit. Was a very reasonable price and I feel like Husky really came through for us. No surprise there. Dmitri and his team did a great job on the original install. Highly recommend them for your air con and heating needs. They service the GTA. Note - they gave us a window for the service call and then called when they were on the way to us.

Well, they actually recommended Prima Air, who has now part of the Martino Group of Companies. Communications with Martino were very good: We started by submitting an inquiry on the website. That was followed-up by a friendly phone call, and then they paged someone to give us a quote on a Saturday afternoon! The installers from Martino were clean, thorough, and did a really nice job installing a new, high-efficiency Goodman furnace. They even noticed an error in the installation of our Reliance Hot Water tank, and fixed it at no extra cost! I strongly recommend their services!

In February 2026 C, a Martino employee, contacted me to book my annual furnace cleaning and we booked for February 26. Nobody showed up, no phone call, nothing. When I was able to get hold of C he told me that I was suddenly no longer in Martino's service area. I was shocked that there was no communication and that they would just drop me with no warning. Last week I was contacted by J, a Martino employee, to once again book my annual furnace cleaning. I explained what happened last time when C contacted me. J checked and confirmed that I am off their client list - no warning, no recommendations for a new company to service my heating and cooling equipment, nothing. If you are a loyal customer, be aware that this could potentially happen to you. I really thought I was set for life with a great company. I am beyond disappointed at being so unprofessionally kicked to the curb like this, do better Martino.

We used them previously to install a Carrier AC unit in our old house and were really happy with their professionalism and the quality of work. Armando was kind enough to arrange to have the work done the same day as he was concerned that we would have no furnace during such cold weather. His team arrived at my home within 3 hours of the call! They were fast, friendly and super efficient. They cleaned up and made sure to take all of the waste and packaging away. We were thrilled with the service. The other thing to note is that we shopped around the previous year in preparation for our eventual purchase of a new furnace and Pro Climate was significantly cheaper than every other HVAC company we checked. It was the same for the AC they installed in our old house. Hands down they are the most reasonably priced company I've seen. I have been referring this company to friends and family since 2010 and will continue to do so as they are in my opinion, the best HVAC company out there. Everyone I have referred them to agrees! Thank you so much for everything Pro Climate and a special thanks to Armando. I wish all businesses operated as humanely and as professionally as he does.

I was provided a quote on an AC unit that they recommended and the price was very competitive and based on the other positive reviews I decided to move ahead with the install. All throughout the process, the owner Eugene was very helpful and thorough in answering any questions that I had. The technicians that came over were also very helpful and answered any questions that I had. The AC unit was just installed today so I haven't had the opportunity to use it much, but based on the experience so far, I trust that I will be in good hands if there are any issues down the road. He contacted about the A/C job asking if I would like a heat pump instead trying to up sell right from the start. I told him the 75 gallon water heater had to be done first. He asked if he can quote. He wouldn't register or do a site visit to see what either job entailed and kept messaging over and over. He kept going over the details so he was trying to estimate and I repeatedly gave him the same info. He asked why the venting supplied by Rheem with the tank was not white PVC and didn't understand. I had to explain to him the venting requirements had changed about 7 years ago on 75 gallon tanks due to higher temperatures. I had to tell him repeatedly I had all the materials to install. I gave him photos of everything to see it was straight forward. Job with less than 8 feet of venting that I was supplying. He said he would complete the job and bill me later and include any incurred expenses . I told him I do not proceed with any job without a contract with upfront firm pricing and any terms.. Then he asked again if they were providing the materials. He had the photo showing all the materials I had and again I told him I had all the materials. He then asked about me to a heat pump and I said if I wanted a heat pump it would have been stated in the job details I told them that them we had a high efficiency 2 stage furnace and my heating costs were under $900.00 per season keeping the thermostat at a constant 75 F. Our house is 3300 sq. ft. and Enbridge shows our house more efficient than 96% of the houses in our area which includes many of them with heat pumps. That was the end of dealing with them for both the water heater and the A/C when I requested a particular York Affinity model and he quoted on a different model. The most frustrating experience I have ever had just for an estimate.
