Simply massage does a great job every time small joint that offers small products to purchase. They have a keurig to use when waiting to start your appointment. They offer a variety of services from facials, massage, lash extensions, waxing. I've had quite a few massages none of the other services. I don't go often but when I do I come back to simply. The therapists talking to you beforehand to make sure they know what you want to focus on for the visit. I was going to simply massage for eye lash extensions for almost a year. Joy was reasonably priced and did an outstanding job. I booked all of my appointments in advance for three weeks out and thought I was a fairly loyal customer. My son came down with strep and as result my babysitting plans fell through due to the illness so I had to cancel and reschedule. While canceling I was told that I may be subject to a cancelation fee of 50% as I hadnt provided them 24 hour notice. I wish I could get 24 hour notice of my son coming down with strep. Needless to say I told them to cancel my outstanding package and that I would never be coming back for any services at simply massage. I can understand policies but when an illness pops up there is only so much a person can do. I'll take my business somewhere else that appreciates a loyal customer. Your response is rather comical. Simply Massage is an awsome gem tucked away in downtown Rosemount!!! We had an awesome couples massage 90 minutes of RELAXATION!!! Wife had Brent and I had Leslie. I've been going here for a few years now. I don't get massages on a regular basis but I've enjoyed most of them. One of the other reviews states the therapist wanted to talk and I had that once. That can be distracting but I just kept my answers shirt and she stopped talking. Today's massage was one of the best massages I've ever had. Vinesha did such an amazing job. I wanted a relaxing massage but had some knots. She got those knots out and kept it relaxing. Thanks Vinesha!!! I've been to other salons and the massages here are far superior. I had not been happy with the services at Simply Massage earlier because appointments were constantly being scheduled and you had to schedule so far out. For my son's birthday, I bought him a gift card to use for the end of the football season. I had to schedule six weeks out and then was called for a cancellation four hours before his appointment. We were not able to get another appointment scheduled for another six weeks out - three months from purchasing the gift card. And, the owner wouldn't refund and cancel the gift card so that I could use that money to take my son to another massage for his birthday present. I will not give them a third chance - I like to support local businesses, but I also want to be sure they support me through good customer service, as well! read more

My massage therapist was amazing, however, I refuse to give another dollar to Simply Massage. I was 20 minutes late to my massage....I get it, i should pay for the time used. Which was what the receptionist and therapist told me would happen. What they failed to mention was that I would still be charged for an hour! Otherwise, i would have just rescheduled my appointment. When they first opened, i was going every other week..loved the old owners. Since then, I will ONLY go get a massage there if i'm completely desperate and have nowhere else to turn. Reason for them dropping down to the bottom of my list is due to the fact they nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING. Last year, i had a women "upsell" me a hot towel massage. Only to find out, i paid $10-$15 for the therapist to wipe me down with a hot towel. Any other massage place would have wiped me down anyways! Why was i charge for this?? I called to discuss the over payment and they were unable to assist....I think that is complete BS and POOR customer service. Thank goodness there are LOTS of other therapists in the area. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a wax, went in on a Sunday, and no other customers were there. The girl who waxed me, did a good job, but missed quite a few spots, and left chunks of wax in places you wouldn't want wax left! She also waxed my eyebrows, and I ended up lifting, which has never happened before, from all the years I have waxed. The receptionist was confused about how to use a Groupon, and asked for my credit card to run the purchase, which was weird because they took all my card information during the appointment set-up, and it was on file. In the rooms they also have a sheet up in how much you should tip. I thought that was super tacky, considering that a tip is voluntary, and you shouldn't feel pressured on how much you should tip. Where do I start. I walked in on time for my appointment and my massage therapist walked out as I began filling out my paperwork and said to not bother filling that out because "I am cutting into my massage time". She had me sign without filling any of my personal information out or going over what I am signing for. She did not ask if I had any alignments of any sort. The quality of the massage was a 2. It was a RELAXATION MASSAGE but she was throwing the hot towels on the floor and aggressively fixing the sheets when massaging the different areas of the body (this did not relax me at all). I watched the time of when she came in the room and left, I was cut 10 minutes short of my time. When I left, I still did not fill any paperwork out. I called the manager and told her what had happened and that what had occurred is an extreme breach of service policy. An apology is all I received. I will not be returning. read more

I've been to Simply Massage several times and I have only had one good experience. The therapists know how to massage but so many of them are loud and want to talk during the massage or are slamming doors. I also had an experience where I arrived early and waited 10 minutes past my start time because the receptionist forgot to tell the therapist I was there. Then the therapist said that she had to cut my massage shorter for the next client. Are you kidding me?? It wasn't my fault. Terrible customer service. I won't be going back. read more

If you're looking to be treated with respect and dignity, go to one of the many other massage parlors around town. My husband was the one to post the long negative review under this and after reading the owners response I figured the public deserves to know the truth. We did go in to attend a class. And honestly the worker in charge of the class was very nice and I assume he knows a lot about his job. But he did tell both my husband and I as soon as we got into the room that he has never had anyone book this specific class with him as the instructor, so he was thrown off his game. Of course when his boss came to ask him if he said that to us, he denied it like most people would, because he doesn't want to get into trouble. So after 20 minutes of awkwardness because all 3 of us were taken back I politely asked him to step out of the room. I talked to my husband and we decided this isn't what was promoted and we wanted a refund like any typical person would. There was no swearing of any kind and if you go and read Jenny's responses to not only my husbands review but others that posted negatively about her business it's always the customers fault. I don't know where she gets off treating customers that way as a business owner but it's not a good look. I do want to reiterate that our masseur is probably very good at giving massages in a typical environment, just not the class environment. read more

When I called more than a week before it expired, to schedule a massage, I was told I would not be able to get in any time before it expired, and therefore I would only be allowed to use the amount I paid for the Groupon. My boyfriend offered to pay for a hot stone massage for my birthday present. So I schedule one at Simply Massage in Rosemount. To ensure that I was relaxed I had 2 glasses of wine. I went to my appointment and mentioned to my masseuse that I had the wine... halfway threw the massage she left the room "to get hot towels". Shortly after that she ended my massage and informed me that she can't massage someone who had been drinking. I walked out to the lobby and there were 2 cops waiting for me! Needless to say I drove home! What make me the most mad is she asked where my daughter was and who was with her as if I was a bad mother for having the wine! read more

Scam artists!! These guys were checking out my husband from a massage and told him that they'd give him three massages at a discounted price, so he bought the promotion. This happened back in April. But we were traveling in May, traveling in June, traveling twice in July. So finally in August we called up to schedule, and they tell us that they expired a month ago. EXPIRED?? What?? There was NO documentation given to him at the time about these massages. They had both his email and phone number, and there were NO calls to say, "FYI, in case you missed it, these expire." But they are adamant that they told him when he bought it. He bought it immediately after a massage, probably still half asleep. How in the world could you expect him to remember that?? Give him a slip of paper! And then the manager, Kayla, calls and condescendingly explains each piece of the story about 5 or 6 times, because I must not have heard it the first time when she tells me that they expired a month ago. Really???? Bottom line: This business took our money and ran. Atrocious business ethics and TERRIBLE customer service. We'll never go back here! read more

After being customers for years, I booked a prepaid couples massage at a discount on Ladies Night in Rosemount. I realized the following morning I had booked the wrong date (a Tuesday rather than a Sunday) and called to reschedule, was told that they would not carry the discount over, so asked to just cancel. This took a few calls and having the manager call me back as the girls at the front desk have no authority or training on how to handle certain things. When the manager called me she said they had changed their mind and I could reschedule with the discount. So I was able to move it to Sunday. As my husband works for UPS, he just got home tonight with the news he has to work on Sunday. So I called immediately to cancel and was told no refund on couples massages. I was never told this and am now out the money. I am very frustrated and unhappy, I try to support local businesses but will never ever return to Simply Massage. read more

I have been to Simply Massage numerous times over the past few years. The previous owners employed top notch talent and created a wonderful environment and a great customer experience. Over the past few years I have not enjoyed coming here and have taken my business elsewhere. Many of my friends have made the same decision. For example, they require payment in advance for couples massage. That is not consistent with the other places we go to. The therapists are not as good as the ones who were employed when the business was in their first two-three years. When we pay we feel rushed out the door, and experience long hold times when we call. On numerous occasions the quality of the massage is not as good as other places. In one case, the therapists was very chatty and I had to ask her to stop talking. I think Simply Massage needs to get back to the fundamentals of what made them great and different when they first opened - wonderful customer experience in a relaxing environment. read more

I have been getting massage here off and on for a few years and I usually enjoy them, but recently I received a massage and it was HORRIBLE. I left feeling like I needed another massage right away, it was also very uncomfortable for me when the therapist turned the sheet at my head, so she could look all the way down the sheet. I did speak with the Office Manager about the situation after me calling several times to reach her and she wasn't surprised by what I said and let me know this therapist wouldn't be with the company much longer. She was also going to look into a few things for me and get back to me and never did. I reached back out and spoke with the owner this time. She was pretty rude, unfriendly, and wouldn't address the situation. I was pretty shocked that she wouldn't want to make the situation right with her company, but I guess not all people that own businesses care about word of mouth advertising. I don't write negative reviews, but in this case I felt people should know how the owner and office manager handle situations. The massage itself is usually nice and office is nice, but if you have a problem, good luck dealing with the owner and office manager. I would never recommend them and I'll never return. read more
