I didn't hire Sharon at Simply Design Studios, I came across her out doing her thing at a park in Lincoln City. She was doing Senior Photos for a teen graduating this year. She and her team were friendly, and professional all at the same time. It was apparent that the young lady that the team was photographing was having a great time. The photographer and her two team members absolutely worked seamlessly around the kids in the park without disturbing anyone. The best part is this: My 4-year-old granddaughter was enamored with the process! She would walk up and sit next to the teen that was getting her pictures taken, and Sharon handled it like a pro. Every time I turned my head, there she was over there again asking more questions, getting in the way, and be treated so sweetly by the team the teen and the photographer! Sharon finally asked if it was alright if she took Millie's photo, and I agreed, and Millie BEAMED! Millie took a couple of pictures with the teen that had hired the photographer, with the permission of the teen and me. Sharon said she'd send me the photos for free. So I haven't hired her, but she's clearly all-star and an asset to her community she also works great with teens and hyper 4-year-olds :D. I haven't seen the photo yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the photo, but I CAN say she probably took 100 different poses during the shoot with the teen while I was in the park, and I left before she did. read more

I heard about Sharon, at Simply Design Studios, through a friend who had posted a Facebook message about a Wedding Photo Package Contest. Sharon was giving away a very generous FREE Wedding package to one lucky bride and groom. We, however did not win that contest, but lucky for us Sharon loved our story, and wanted to offer us something still. We won a free engagement photo shoot on location of our choice, and a discounted wedding package of our choice. After seeing her work, and potential, we decided to book Sharon as our Wedding photographer. She invited us to her Studio, which is located in her welcoming home. She went over her contract IN DETAIL, and allowed us to question anything we did not understand. Everything was basic and straight forward. She showed us more of her work, at our request. We liked what we saw, and told her which things we did not prefer. She was very open to suggestion, and eager to find out more about US and what WE liked. (Certain photography styles aren't for everyone.) She listened, took note, and even asked me to send her photos of other styles I liked, so that she could get a feel for my taste. I sent her examples of styles I liked from other photographers. I noticed that in her next photo shoot of a bride and groom, she was already starting to capture the style I was looking for. She really took on the task, and was not afraid to reinvent her style, or try new technique to please her customer. When we signed our contract in 9/2010, I liked her work...but now it's only 5 months later, and I LOVE her work. We finally got around to making time to schedule our engagement shoot. Sharon was patient and understanding when I tried to push the date out as far as possible so that I could lose a few more pounds before our session. Then, when I realized that we were running out of time, and had to send our save the dates ASAP, she was helpful in booking our shoot quickly. We took our photos at the Nut Tree in Vacaville, which may sound cheesy, but they had a lot for Sharon to work with. She has a great eye for creative photo opportunities. She let us, be "us", and we had a great time! Nothing felt too posed or staged. We were comfortable, and it really came across when we received our photos...which I might add, we took our photos on a Sunday, and she had them to us by Friday! There were a couple of minor flaws that I noticed right away when she posted some of our photos (they were our fault not hers) Such as the fake flowers I brought for props had a REALLY long stem, which I thought was ugly-Sharon edited the stem on my request within literally minutes of posting the photos. She also went above and beyond and hand delivered them to my home, since she was in the area for another shoot that day. I did not know of Sharon, or Simply Design Studios, before this contest, but I am so very glad we found out about her. She is professional, kind, efficient, personable, creative, and affordable! I would recommend her to anyone in need of any type of photography for any event. I can't wait to see what she will do with the photos from our special day. read more

I just had to add another 5 stars for Simply Design Studios. Sharon did a photo shoot for my first born when he was just 12 days old...(which now he's still only 25 days old) After taking horrific quality photos with my phone for the first 11 days of his life and being sooo proud...hahaha...I was speechless when I saw the shots that Sharon took, I almost cried I loved them so much. Well I added a couple to this yelp post, so you can see for yourself... She had wonderful props for newborns and she was so gentle with him and knew how to soothe him and make him feel comfortable. My only regret was I wish I would've brought him in sooner...he's a squirmy and very alert newborn =) The first week would've been great because he would've been sleepier! Even so, these pictures came out sooo great...I'll save space for other fans to post their pictures and I wont post the other 9 shots that are my favorites ;) oh..and my other regret...not putting on his diaper fast enough to catch the explosive 'shart' that decorated her floor ;) hahaha! good times... thank you again, Sharon, for delivering exquisite service and quality photos! I planned an engagement 600 miles away from home and was thrilled when Sharon agreed to take on the task of surprising my (now) fiance with a surprise photo shoot.
