The dentist SPENT no more than 15 MINUTES WITH ME. When I called I spoke with the lady for no more that 3 minutes at the most each of 2 times I called. I brought my 3 d Xrays, the Dentist is lying that I talk more that that when I called back to ask him to call me.. I am not lying and this reply is very sad that he cannot be honest. Doc, you will have to confess this to your priest .. Drove 40 miles round trip to get to the office. Waited about 20 minutes, The dentist that does the implants said he would do a 2 bridge crown and that would be sufficient. Was very nice. charming fellow...... Made appointment for an implant. Called back after I spoke with my dentist and was told a 2 section bridge was not a good idea. Called back his office 2 times, after after not returning my call after a week, I cancelled my apt. My feelings are when I was in the section that the dentisty is done, you kinda feel like your in a small car stall in a car dealer. It appears this place does work like a small factory. Not that it matters but the music was kind of strange. The charm of the doctor pleased me, however after reading all the reviews it seems like he ghosts people besides me. I am sure he will write some excuse. But I do not recommend to drive so far for what seems is not such a good deal as he inflates the price of other work for the implant to adverstise a lower fee f $500 for the work. Don't let the name fool you they do much more than dental implants. They actually are in the process of changing their name to simply dental implants. After spending well over $2,000 a couple of years ago for just one implant, I decided to do some research because I couldn't afford it. I found doctor Rich online and I have been very satisfied with his pricing and service. For a complete implant, abutment, crown, the total is $2075. He is very thorough but not much of a conversationalist so make sure you ask questions. I have been to see dr. Rich for two additional implants that cost me the same amount as I would have paid for just one somewhere else. Dr. Rich is the only one there that does the implants, so if you need any other services you will see another dentist there. I have seen doctor Matt who is very nice and personable. I had really good experiences with this Office in general. Krista is fantastic! Always helpful before, during and after any appointments. More importantly Dr. Guerra is also fantastic! I had many broken teeth issues, and he took care of all of that in the back of my mouth on the top. Unfortunately I had to have a bone graft done, and it did become infected. Dr. Guerra refunded my money without me even requesting that he do so. That typically does not happen in the world of dentistry. He recommended an oral surgeon, and I chickened out. None of which is the fault of Simply Dental. I also had several of THE BEST teeth cleanings of my life there, and spoke with Krista on the phone today, and we have discussed the follow up of how to proceed with an oral surgeon local to me that has availability. I can't wait to get my implants once the bone graft is finally done. I went to this office to get two bone grafts for future implants. The first oral surgery went OK. The second oral surgery was a failure for some reason. Dr. Rich said he used a different grafting material. My body rejected the second bone graft and I had to undergo a third oral surgery to remove it. Now I'm in Europe and I went to a dentist here who took xrays of my entire mouth. He showed me the xrays and says there isn't any evidence that any bone graft has ever been done. He said I'll have to start over and get the bone graft done in the place where Dr. Rich supposedly did a graft. The management of this office also appears to be lax and unorganized. The people are nice and friendly, but I would never go back to them. read more

Dr. Rich is my new favorite dentist along with his staff. The cleaning here was phenomenal and very thorough. . Not only that, you can watch tv while being worked on with a screen right above you. Dr Rich is very fair too, as they will check with your insurance before doing any work. One of the best kept secrets here are the injections of Botox and Juvederm he offers. Lots of other places will water it down, and not be careful with the injections. His fillers are brand new, and you dont even have a mark left when you leave. I wish I had never came to this office. Everything they did had to be redone at least once. The office looks like a fast food restaurant. Patients rooms are tiny, loud music is blaring everywhere. It's impossible to get relaxed for a procedure. I came in for two implants and left with one and no crowns. The first problem is that they do not evaluate your whole mouth. They will put an implant anywhere they can. I brought a copy of a cat scan with me, but they could not read it because they do not have the right equipment. Not having a cat scan i the office is a huge problem. They put in implants blindly. The one implant that I got was put in at a funny angle, as verified by two implant specialists. They advertise their low prices everywhere. It's great until you experience the quality of their work. I went there for over a year and ended up with nothing. One implant is crooked and the other can't be done because of the crooked one. I was in severe pain for over a year, and have nothing to show for it. On the positive side, the office help is very nice, they answer the phone quickly and will see you as many times as you want without extra charge. They guarantee the work and refund money if they can't fix a problem. Overall, I learned a couple of lessons. First, go to a periodontist for implants. They evaluate your whole mouth and gums, have the right equipment, and have advanced training necessary for implants. Run, do not walk!! When a dental office reminds you of a fast food place, and their ads look like something you see at used car dealerships, run and do not look back. read more

I went in and got an estimate for up to three implants, end up only getting two. The work itself is great, no complaints there. My problem is the financial stuff. Specifically, there were two payments I made in September 2020, one for $600 (paypal credit) and one for $500 (paypal but drawn from my checking account). Also, my last day in the office after the dental work was complete, I asked the person at the front desk if I owed anything. She said no and said I could go. I got a bill in the mail stating I still owed about $1500, which I get, someone made a mistake and I still owed money BUT when I looked over the bill and what payments I made, I noticed the $500 payment was not included (the $600 was). Once i noticed this, I called them to inform them of this payment, they denied they ever got such a payment. My Paypal AND my Checking account both have it being paid. They don't believe me so now I am forced to pay an extra $500. Please, pay extremely close attention what payments you make. read more

Strange interaction... I called and was told that it is impossible to talk with Dr. Rich. I was confused and asked why is it impossible because I need an implant and am shopping for an experienced implant expert. I am aware he has appointments, etc and said I am happy to call back at a convenient time or schedule a time. She said she can setup an in person appointment but he refuses to talk on the phone. ?!?! From reading the website, he seemed like a good person to speak with and ask a few questions(anasthesia/abutment type/etc) to see if all seems good and we can move forward to making an appointment. This dental implant clinic is great simply because of the Doctor. Dr Richard Guerra who runs the clinic and actually the Heart and Soul of the place. ( don't know much about the rest of the team) This is a man of few words, (almost too shy to talk to or him giving you an explanation as to what he just did) Once he's done, he disappears as fast as he can without any,I mean any explanationYou have to chase him to find out, and pry it out of him as to what he did. Or, rely on one of the Assistant's who was assisting to do the talking, explaining as to what just took place while you were sedated and unable to ask pertinent questions. Cause you just don't know, period! He doesn't explain, just goes to work. He is an excellent dentist, a gentle person, very thoughtful, very thorough and caring. Just an all around wonderful person! Would love to have him as a friend, a son or a son-in-law:) However, if I have one issue (an important one) with him is that he lacks doctor patient communication skills. As for the rest of the front desk staff, we'll, not much to say. Overall they are not welcoming smiling faces. Little chaotic at times. Short and a rapt in their answers, sometimes on the rude side. In particular this one person who I believe is the manager of sorts, who never smiles, the most unpleasant face with some moon surface craters on her face constantly starring at her desktop. Absolute b-i/t-c-h. I'm telling you absolute poison dripping from her face! Avoid her at all cost if you can. Five stars for the Doctor but just one star to the front desk. read more

I've seen Dr. Rich several times over the last 7 years, most recently just this October/November 2019 when I cracked my crown. He got me in right away and made a very impressive "temporary" crown in office to help me look normal until the final crown came in a few weeks later. I'm terrified of dentists. I'm 23 years old and hadn't seen one since I was about ten years old but had really bad problems with crowding and was in a ton of pain so I finally sucked it up and searched for somewhere to go. The first time I saw Dr. Guerra he pulled two of my teeth. The experience was a little nerve wracking but he was friendly and personable, which helped me feel relaxed. He definitely makes going to the dentist way less scary than I thought it had to be. Everything went great- the spaces healed beautifully and I planned on going back to him to get my wisdom teeth pulled. That's when the magic really happened: I walk in and the ladies at the front desk ask if I've eaten breakfast. I was under the impression you were not supposed to eat beforehand and hadn't had anything so they insisted I walk down the street to grab a bagel so I don't feel sick after getting them removed. I felt bad because going to grab food technically had me late for my appointment, but they were really sweet about it and told me not to worry at all; that it was more important for me to get something in my stomach. When I came back I told them I felt gross not having freshly brushed teeth for Dr. Guerra so they handed me a toothbrush & toothpaste and let me brush my teeth before my appointment too! I'm called in and Dr. Guerra is as personable and friendly as ever. His assistant was really nice as well and it's obvious that everyone in the office gets along with each other. For me, that makes a huge difference. I feel so comfortable when I'm there! Then, the ugly part: getting two wisdom teeth removed. Something I have dreaded for the past ten years. I've heard it's sooo painful and such an awful process. Dr. Guerra had both of my wisdom teeth out in less than three minutes! I was amazed. One of them took all of 20 seconds to pull and even his assistant was like "..you got it already?!". Totally amazed. We all started laughing. I couldn't believe how quick it was and of course I did not feel any pain whatsoever. Two days later, my mouth is only a little bit sore and I'm just about ready to eat solid foods again. I live in America 6 years. I had multiple appts that were not good and this is the my first bad review I've ever written. My co-worker recommended me to this place as she has had cleaning there. She told me everything was good overall but she had to wait 30mins for apt, but that wasn't a big deal to me. I made sure that I was going to make this appt on time as I didn't want to be late for it. I made arrangements for my kids and woke them up earlier than usual and even took a day off of work. They texted multiple times prior to the appt and I confirmed every time that I was good to be there. I was there exactly at the time my appt was scheduled for which was 8am. When I arrived I had trouble finding the place so I called them for help. I told them I was here but couldn't find it and the girl that answered the phone told me it was ok then directed me on where to go and park. I told her thank you so much and that I was looking for parking, but there was allot of spaces taken due to the snow. I walked into the office at 8:18 and I apologized for me being late. They told me that they are sorry but my appt was given to someone else. Wow... Seriously?! I said how is that possible? when my appt was booked between 8am and 9am and I couldn't understand how someone else was given an appt during my time especially since I called and told them the situation. They told me that I'm a new patient so there was no guarantees. It made no sense since I called when I realized I was not going to be in the office at 8am sharp and they told me not to worry. Do not go to this place. The only reason I wasn't taken was because they gave my appt to a existing patient which makes no sense because I was in constant communication with them. My old dentist in Park Ridge was replaced by his daughter and that practice has really gone down. After having two cracked teeth in the past six months, and not being able to get straight answers on cost (despite their assurances about how much they care about long term patients) I went looking for a new dentist.
